"Utopia" is part II of a trilogy, part I is "Save or Lives" M/V. Another acoustic and visual masterpiece in a completely different style that you shouldn't miss.

The part about tracking in particular was very helpful to me😊
They mentioned while explaining that this whole production took them about 8 months,
of which they spent more than two on the recording alone,
that they went through a whopping 17k takes
and managed to put together a finalized set of over 400 vocal tracks that constitutes this very song now.
We would probably never be able to find out exactly what is included in each of those tracks,
but thanks to your analysis, I feel like I have a better idea now.

The beginning is very like Sparks "This town ain't big enough for both of us". This is Forestella doing full on Crossover. Their version of Bohemian Rhapsody or Shape of you, or Bad Romance or Sweet Dreams or Time in a bottle will give you a sense of their ability to switch up well known songs.

@@BangkokVoiceCoach most Reactors get their Reactions through with heavy filters. Same with Chinese singer Hua Chenyu.. Heavy filtering of Chinese TV appearances, whilst fan cams or even his official videos of his Concerts seem to get trough easier. It's the TV stations. But there ARE lots of Forestella, Hua Chenyu, Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, So Hyang, Jane Zhang.... videos out there.

To truly appreciate Forestella, you have to watch their live performances. No tracking there, but they still manage to sound like an entire choir. They do a few Queen covers (and seriously, when you have a Rock Countertenor, how can you NOT??), but Bad Romance? Despacito? Scarborough Fair? Seriously amazing.
These guys came together through an elimination singing contest called "Phantom Singer" where the goal is to build a crossover quartet. Fate and talent brought them together. It was lightning in a bottle.
Only two are classically trained (The Bass and the Leggero Tenor), the Tenor/Baritone was a musical theater actor, and that amazing Countertenor had zero training and only a garage rock band background when he joined Phantom Singer. (his audition was Phantom of the Opera, where he sang both the Phantom and Christine's lines seamlessly).
They never fail to bring on the goosebumps with their tight harmonies, perfect pitch, and amazing synchronization. They destroy the competition in the Live TV musical contests that are so popular in South Korea. I can't get enough of them.
"overnight success" after debuting in 2018 and being stalled by the pandemic ... I just hope they tour here again in the USA in 2026 after Woorim is discharged from the military. Their concerts, from what I've seen on TH-cam, are exciting and very intimate.

Yes, yes I hear Queen but it was not my 1st thought. What do you think to Sparks? They as are so many Eastern countries have a Wonderful range. However, once they have found their 'niche' they can be trained to levels exasperating to us Western lot who like days off, bank Holidays and long periods of annual holiday.
You have to hand it to them their harmony is great and what fantastic diction!
