My aunt and uncle moved to Kitsilano in 1982, they went to Lee's every week, my uncle died in 2005 but my aunt still goes to Lee's every week. There's a place there I like that sells salmon jerky, maple salmon and whatnot, she brings me some to Winnipeg when she visits on holidays.
The Seagulls will take the food right off your plate as you walk out to find a place to sit. I was there a while back with a friend who is a very famous Vancouver actor and as he was walking to the table a Seagull swooped in and slapped him in the face then took his food. It was funny that Optimist Prime got beat for his food by a Seagull.
Oldandwize - I had a pair of seagulls double team me - one knocked the food off my plate ass soon as I walked out the door and a second grabbed it from the ground and flew off. They had definitely been doing this for awhile.
What's your favourite thing to do in Granville Island? I'm not sure what circumstances you have preventing you but I hope you're able to move here someday, it is a very lovely place to live :)
