Fingers crossed it was a successful pairing! It looked like it went well, and the male survived to mate another day! Another fun visit to the Beastie Room! Thanks Dave!
That was amazing. Great job on the filming and the narration. This is the first time I have heard the hissing during mating. Absolutely fascinating! Thank you for sharing! ❤🕷
That male looked battle harden and wise what a great pairing clip. And that hissing caught me off guard, was not aware that they could make noise. Love your videos keep up the hard work.
I love your breeding videos. Well, I love all your videos, but I really enjoy the breeding ones. That is one lucky little male having survived 5 mates.
Being able to feel the subtle vibrations of prey and prospective mates likely makes their whole bodies ears for those hisses. You show much love for these animals you were undoubtedly a spider in another life!
That was sensational. They knew what to do and quick. I love these video's. I nevr thought I would enjoy watching spiders so much. James did a fantastic job on the spider.
Absolutely fascinating video Dave, the idea of the stridulation being heard by the female is a really insightful and interesting point, there is still a lot to be understood about tarantulas probably one of the most misunderstood animals in the world, love the work you do Dave
Wow this was absolutely fascinating. I stumbled upon your channel and now have binged tons of videos. I have learned more about spiders in the last few hours then I've ever know my whole life. Absolutely amazing. Keep up the wonderful videos
🤞Babies!🤞Hopefully that helps it take hold and she drops a sac. Another awesome vid. I love how you are looking out for Lil Buddy. I am pleasantly surprised that he has held on this long. Thanks again for being such a wonderful keeper and for sharing your friends and knowledge with us. Thanks to Camera Lady, who is the baby wrangler as well. You both are amazing! 🕷♥️
I hope that it was a successful pairing and I heard the hissing noises from the female and male! I think the hissing noises also is a part of their body language that their sensitive hair can pick up and make sense of! 🤔 Thank you Dave and Sweet Camera Lady for yet another fascinating video! What an amazing gift 👍 you got and that's a perfect gift for a passionate Spiderman as you Dave! Hugs, Susanne 👱♀️ and Trollet 🐱.
How wonderful, I can never get enough of pairing, every video I learn something else. This newish camera is so much better, clearer up close and is great, although sadly I couldn't hear the hissing😥, I'm getting old. Thank you Dave, love your commentary and what a treasure is Mrs Camera Lady💓😘🍾🥂💐. Well this aunty will have to patiently wait now🕷🕸🕷🕸 might I say, no expert here, but they both looked in amazing condition💓😉
Jo I wear ear buds. Only cheapie ones around £10 that plug in ipad or phone and they pick up everything, heard the hissing straight away. I did have another pair of ear buds not on cord and they kept popping out of my ears 😕
Another fantastic video Dave 👍. I really love that you focus so much on the incredible behavior of the spider. Great information, camera work (hats off Camera Lady 👍). 😊
Vibration is everything... Them and us ... V interesting vid .. I wish more people paid attention to the various means of communication around us all 😇
Love yr videos 😍 I’ve learnt so much 😊 yr very informative and put it in a way it can be understood by us none spider owners can understand …. Thank you 😊
I love that there is no rushing of the male once he is in the enclosure I have seen some pairing videos where they rush the male and he sadly gets eaten so it shows that you really care for the wellbeing of your T's even for the males
Man you’re like a spider whisperer or something. You know you’re stuff better than anyone I’ve seen. One of the most informative channels on TH-cam, and I am absolutely terrified of spiders, borderline arachnophobia, but I can’t help but watch dozens of your videos. 👌🏻💯
Great video as always Dave! Your passion and excitement are infectious and your love for the hobby and your spiders shows through in every thing you do. We are all so fortunate to be able to watch your videos and learn so much.
That went very quick with my favourite genuses. Quick to pair and quick to Insemination. Missed the video on Monday. Glad I came back to watch it. It was like they knew each other straight away. Nice gift from your subscriber James. Nice one buddy!
So that male is a stud! Lol. Always eagerly look forward to your videos! That sound wild! Maybe the sound also causes vibrations they feel ….very interesting. And a little creepy.
another project that looks promising PROFF. the information that you give on these videos is always amazing for the hobby and education to all. thanks camera lady . take care guys, many thanks
Another amazing vid with two smashin Ts and they were both about the same size as each other and what an amazing gift absolutely beautiful, and yet again great work Camera Lady ...
Hi Dave and Camera Lady hope you’re both well. What a fantastic video again, I love watching the pairing videos as they’re interesting viewing. From the very large to the smaller species, and the resulting egg sacs and so on 🕷 I had noticed that spider pyramid ornament in another of your recent videos, and thought it was one of your own spiders that had passed in preserving liquid. What a lovely gift to receive 🕷 🕷 Well, hopefully that pairing is successful. Take care both and stay safe 😘 xxx
Great pairing. Interesting to wonder if the spiders actually do recognize one another. I wouldn't have thought that they even had the capacity of memory.
sound as we humans hear it is a frequency and a frequency is a wave of vibrations measured per second, f=1/T, the higher the frequency, the more vibrations per second, T = time measured per second, so f=1/T is in fact frequency=1 vibration/second is in turn 1 hertz(hz), we humans can perceive these vibrations as sound from 20 hertz to 20000 hertz, great videos, very practical information for both beginners and experts, keep up the good work
Love watching your vids Dave. I suffer from araqn - iraqna - eracn - fear of spiders but I like watching them so long as their on film. That pyramid was really unusual and cool.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have severe Arachniphobia and am somewhat amazed that I can watch your channel! The pairings fascinate me and I'll admit to shedding a tear or two when the male becomes lunch. Spiders in my house don't receive a warm welcome, I'm afraid. As an arachniphobe, there isn't much more shocking than to walk in the house, go from room A to room B, come back to room A and a giant Wolf spider is standing where you just walked through 5 mins prior! My late husband swore that there aren't any T's in North Carolina, USA, but our county Agriculture Extension Agent, who graduated from N.C. State University claims there are indeed T's in North Carolina.
Amazing again Dave you and Camera Master are my new Nat Geo. Great narration makes it so easy to understand along with the close up footage I can think of nothing that was missed. Bless you both much love and respect looking forward to next 🙏❤
Interesting that they stridulated continuously through the pairing. Amazing footage as always. Here's hoping you get yet another sac. Also, that spider decoration you got looks great. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
Great video and very interesting with regards the hissing. I love your excitement and enthusiasm during and after the pairing videos! You explain things so well and in such a way that we can understand and learn from you even more. Fingers crossed for The Beastie Room 🤞🖤🕷️
Solid content as always. I Love the breeding videos. I'm aspiring to do some myself once my T's get older. I've got a pair over T. Albipilosus I'm waiting to mature. Fingers crossed I've got a male and a female
That was a amazing vid ,,, with educational information ,,, A ++++++++++++ ,,, Now I really know what to expect and how to protect the male in the end. Thanks for this post ,,, Much needed ' 🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷
Our inner ears are essentially small hair like structures that vibrate inside our skull and send that information to the brain. And when you consider sound is just displaced, vibrating air. You could say spiders have their ears on the outside. Their entire body is an ear of sorts.
A nice pairing, i'll be looking to get a stirmi one day (this year hopefully). That stridulating definitely raises some questions. awesome video as always, thanks Dave 👍
Incredible video Dave, very informative... Looking forward to watching again with my 2 boys, they love the Beastie room. Thanks again for replying to my eldest GBB build on Facebook, he was made up when I showed him 🤩 Eight legs crossed for a successful egg sack!
Another great video, MASTER OF HIMSELF, THE ONE THE ONLY..." DAVE" This was another one in mate. Great job as always. My friend. Looking forward to a egg sac, 🤞 thank you as always for sharing.
Male: "there we go. That's me done, I'm off, I'll see you again soon" Female: "wait, what? That's it? You're done? Oi! Come here" Male: "whoa slow down love. DAVE!"
Fingers crossed it was a successful pairing! It looked like it went well, and the male survived to mate another day! Another fun visit to the Beastie Room! Thanks Dave!

I think keepers like Dave really raise the bar and keep the standards of care of these most awesome of creatures very high, really inspiring.

That was indeed an interesting deep look at spiders.. Your right too very fascinating.. Thanks Dave
Brilliant. I love all your videos but have to admit, the big Theraphosa spiders are always something extra special

Great video ! I love it when a pairing goes smoothly, i guess it’s like anything else in life “win some, lose some and some get rained out”.
Wow this was absolutely fascinating. I stumbled upon your channel and now have binged tons of videos. I have learned more about spiders in the last few hours then I've ever know my whole life. Absolutely amazing. Keep up the wonderful videos

The camera work is second to none and the audio storyline makes these videos brilliant.
Well said. I agree.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The male Theraphosa was almost like: "Little help here guys thanks!?!!!" Great stuff here!!!
such a cool spider
He: Rings the doorbell.
Her: YES PLEASE!!
Fascinating stuff, great video. That spider pyramid looks very cool. 👌👌
It really is!

The way she came rushing out of her lair was amazing. I held my breath 😱
Awesome mate! Thankyou
Very nice. Yes their hissing is loud. The Theraphosa i have had was hissing when they just walked around or when they ate.
And again a super Video👍‼️‼️

"He's earned it" has me laughing, that's what i say to the wife.
