After four years of being vegetarian I tried raw fish for the first time and kingfish was definitely my favourite, looking into spear fishing myself now!!
I can’t believe how HUMONGOUS that fish ended up being!!! 😱 The one above/ in front of the one you speared was another half bigger… I don’t think it would have fit on your boat very well! 🐟You just blew my mind! 🤯
I have a couple ? Feel free to not answer. 1. Have u ever been a rough diving sit w an animal? Or in a rough diving sit. 2. What is the hardest and or craziest thing you have caught or seen. I live in MO USA I don't have v much ocean access...
You wouldn’t be that fazed like a couple of other experienced divers I know if sharks show up I surf big waves ect and have surfed all over the world but the way divers view and deal with sharks compared to surfers is next level
That really is incredible, all of it. Just curious is there some kind of innovative way to have that loose line retracted quickly so it's not in the way?
That looks like fun, but i don't know how comfortable i'd be doing that. There's a lot of nasty things down there that can make bait dance like that. Kudos on the behemoth, sir.
Yellowtail kingfish is great smoked up, or just fresh steaks in pan with butter, smoked fish dip.. ahh so many options. If you watch the full video of spearing that fish I believe I include a cook up at the end. Link is pinned in comments of should find in my top videos 🤙
You're one lucky guy. I've shot gouper at more than 50 pounds. It was all i wanted to fight, and i was on scuba equipment. I got it but learned a lesson.

Idk if I’m more impressed that you speared that or lifted it on your own. Nice catch bro 💪🏾

I am seriously jealous and impressed.
That shot nailed it's dimmer switch.
I wish we had those in Ireland.
Get lucky sometimes!
@skateboardingjesus4006 You spearfish in Ireland? What do you normally catch over there?
Do many people spearfish in Ireland?
You are either 3 feet tall or that is one helluva fish. Glad you spined it, I wouldn’t want to be dragged by that one.
Haha yep lucky to injure it!
That’s an impressive catch, and even more impressed you lifted it
Fish of a lifetime, stoked for you mate.
Jesus dude - that is unbelievable!! And there were a bunch of those homeboys cruising around too. Amazing fishery we have in NZ.
You’re the real deal Ollie great job my friend. Thank you for your videos and
I so much appreciate it.
Cheers Paul!
Wow!!!! Beautiful fish. In California, we call them yellowtail.
That’s literally what he called it yellowtail kingfish but he used two of its many names for for it
Really?😮
@@timokane-vu3ks Yup
I have never tasted such a tasty fish before or after the kingfish
Great Fish! and so versatile!
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit just gotta cut off the tail cause of the worms
No worms here in nz
@@Nofishnoclueyea I don’t see any with worms on the west coast here in the states either. I’m guessing you’re thinking of Amber Jacks.
After four years of being vegetarian I tried raw fish for the first time and kingfish was definitely my favourite, looking into spear fishing myself now!!

Holy shit I don't think that could have gone any better.
Absolutely massive.!!!
That’s the most excellent fish I’ve seen on spear. Again, great work Ollie.
that's a great catch, but I have to say, as someone accustomed to spearfish in the mediterranean, I'm impressed mostly by how easy it looked.
Spine shot did the damage otherwise could have been very very difficult right or potentially even lost.
Never seen a yellowtail that big oh man massive
Dude, siiiiiick shot. Good on ya!!
Incredible find and impressive strength just to lift it - awesome job !!!
Awesome shot man. Great fish!
One or two of your best shark stories in a video I’m sure everyone would like to hear about
As a former spearfisherman, this is awesome. But I AM SO MAD I DONT HAVE THAT TYPE OF LUCK
WHOAH!! They looked so much smaller in the ocean -then you pull it up on the boat and it’s freakin taller THAN I AM!! Amazing!!😱❤️

Awesome!
Here in Hawaii that fish would have about thirty pounds of worms
You wouldn’t be that fazed like a couple of other experienced divers I know if sharks show up
I surf big waves ect and have surfed all over the world but the way divers view and deal with sharks compared to surfers is next level
Well done! Beautiful fish!
How deep are you here when you take the shot?
Not deep maybe 10m
What a monster yellow tail! Largest I have caught was 29 pounds and it fought like hell. I had nice filets in the freezer for a year.

Gr8 shot/catch that fish is humongus fr..💯😍😮😜🤘
I'm new to spearfishing got my first setup this week.
Does rattling the gun really attract the fish?
That looks like fun, but i don't know how comfortable i'd be doing that. There's a lot of nasty things down there that can make bait dance like that. Kudos on the behemoth, sir.
Nice shot!! fish did not suffer💪💪💪
That’s an incredible fish. Wow.
I thought he said spared as in let back in and not taking it home for dinner. When i seen their equipment i automatically knew he said speared 😂😂
Out of interest what is your favourite way to cook fish like that other than incredible sashimi
