These comments lol WOW relax my bros.. been here a few days now, I’m free to do what I want, meeting great people and having a blast.. it’s just a holiday and I’ll be back soon 🎉
The fact you dont look at the bigger picture, and see this as a vacation. When in reality you are whitewashing a dictatorship and everything that entails. I regard this the same as influensers going to Saudi and getting pooped on for money.
Just be careful because they will be listening in and the surveillance and facial recognition everywhere is insane. Dont say anything bad about the country or they may get you with their national security law. So sad I have to be so paranoid and I hope you prove us all wrong.
Isn’t that what a Chinese sleeper agent would say 🤔
🤣🤣
Haven't read the comments cause I'm too busy holidaying in Thailand but they've never worried you before so they must be bad . We just walked passed Cynthia at Jomtien Night Market.
Have fun 👍🏼🍻🇦🇺🇹🇭
Wow people really need to educate themselves about China. They are a competing country within the global economy and are doing very well at it and for their people. Forget Chinese propaganda. Clearly lots of commentators here have been shaped by Western propaganda.
Keis it’s not a question about IF you can make money, it’s about how you do it.
By making travel videos… don’t worry, this isn’t the news mate, it’s entertainment
Ruined my channel? For a 2 week holiday? Haha I’ll be sweet man
@@keisone heard that my g. all love bro, I trust a man’s word first and foremost. stay safe 🤝❤️
We can put a wager on it if you want..
if I had a dollar for everyone that told me I would make it on TH-cam.. wouldn’t even need to upload anymore haha
@@keisone brother I hear you I literally make the style of lofi you use in your vids for a living hahaha not sure if there’s someone else’s comment your responding too here but I definitely never said your ruining your channel or that you wouldn’t do TH-cam haha. I’m saying taking bags from the CCP isn’t the type of bag I’d want to take lol. Again, not saying you are, just saying be careful bro.
What a great opportunity! Have fun, I love visiting China, it is nothing like we have been conditioned to believe. My first visit to China completely blew me away, and can't wait till we visit again in a couple of months. There is nothing like seeing a country with your own eyes :) Cheers from Australia.
So true.
Asians have been stuffier the West for decades but the West has so limited knowledge about us.
Wow! Chongqing looks amazing! I’ve been to Shanghai and I was blown away. Chongqing looks equally impressive! I LOVE the mix of the old, traditional architecture and the ultra-modern high rise buildings co-existing side by side. 👍👍❤️
Good to see the driver paying attention.....to his phone😊😅😂
I know this is not popular opinion but China pays TH-cam (and other social media) bloggers to paint their country in positive light to a Western Audience. There is a New York Times article on this subject "How Beijing Influences the Influencers". I know Adam is a good person at heart but sometimes you need to read between the lines why a Chinese based company would pay a Western youtuber to create positive content on China.
m8, every single country in the world that is above 4th world status does this lol. just because you read one article and think you have some inside knowledge, every country pays to encourage tourism. how are you guys this clueless?
@@johnsmith-fk7fw Very different when a totalitarian govt like the CCP who has modern day concentration camps trying to eliminate a religious minority and harvest and sells human organs as well numerous other human rights abuses try's to whitewash their crimes using a western blogger to show how nice China is.
The US govt spends annually hundreds of millions taxpayer money to manufacture fakenews and consent for aggression towards countries which refuse to kowtow to them i.e. Russia, China, Iraq, Syria, Iran, N Korea etc.. literally atrocity propaganda, on a daily drip drip basis to non-thinking western sheep like you - but all of a sudden China gives a 2 week holiday to a 50k subscriber TH-camr and ohhhh its all so dystopian and evil. JFC the level to dumb the average westerner is. No wonder it's in rapid decline. Dumb people like u elect dumb leaders resulting in this spectacular decline.
Oh there's a NYT article is there? 🙄
@@JBugz777 Here is another article for you "China enlists foreign vloggers to whitewash Uyghur situation in Xinjiang" ~ Radio Free Asia!
Welcome to this side of the planet, it’s gonna blow you away!
Very cool. You are living the dream!
Congrats! Good on ya mate!
Awesome, looking forward to seeing plenty of spicy food vids!
Have a fab trip !
I remember talking bout this to you. wow looks great im sure you will have an Awesome time. Stay safe mate.
Awesome. All the best with new tourism video project....👍👍👍👍👍
Wow getting an invite from the Chinese government is without doubt the biggest thing to happen for you since becoming a full time TH-camr. Be very careful what you say and do but I can honestly see your subscriber number hitting half a million or maybe even more by years end. Good luck Adam from a bloody freezing winters morning here in Swansea NSW.
Not saying Keis isn't doing great, he really is, but you'd be surprised how insignificant it is that the CCP reached out to him for a propaganda piece. I went to China on a CCP sponsored trip and it only cost a few thousand USD for 2 weeks of 5 star hotels, most meals, travel around western China, a bunch of attractions, guides, and even airfare from/to the USA. I'm glad I went as it was an enlightening and overall enjoyable experience, but I don't really have any desire to visit China again. BTW, you're 1000% correct about needing to watch what you say and do, it's scary there.
Last time I was there, I flew Internationally into Don Mueang. It spun the hell out of me because arrivals was exactly as I remembered it from the 90s. I didn't even realise the place still existed. The same few shops, the same taxi desk, the same immigration. It's a time warp.
Unrelated to China, but; do you mix/create the music on your vids by yourself?
Thanks.
Looks awesome have a great time
Thank you for vlogging China, Adam!!
Looks incredible
great blogs mate, keep up! ;)
Good luck gotta take that opportunity ive been watching your videos you upload looks like a great city
Wow have fun. Looks awesome.
lol the thing where people look at you i get that all the time here in the philippines.. i know its all harmless but i just guess i will get use to it, sometimes i feel like i may be someone very important or they look at me as if i may be lost , cool shirt by the way
Bro amazing video i really enjoy it! Greetings to China from Germany
Keis, 欢迎 to China 😅 I'll be in Chongqing next week, let's meet for a beer!
I saw you at DMK early on Sunday morning. You were at gate 2. I was on my way back to HKG.
Cool , i’ve been to China about 18 times. I love it.
DITTO
Lived there for 8 years from 2005 and had a blast and glad to say I paid hardly no tax earning top dollar which was my finger to the Govt.
No Xi then and many foreigners and lots of good times.
NO party now.
China looks amazing!! 🔥🔥
like 13 14 years ago met an amreican who was raving about this city
Wow nice one Keis! I spy a "koh thai spa" at 07:28 👀😃
This is a dream come true for a content creator. Tourist cities should sponsor influencers to promote them. 😊
Yeah, I’d love if it opened the door for other places to do the same thing!
Mate…get over to Chengdu to see the Pandas, Xian to see the Terrocotta Warriors and Kunming …heaps of ladies and has a little Laos vibe
Enjoy. I’m going there next month to Krabi 😊
all your vlogs are cool enjoy stay well…
I literally stayed in that same hotel. Chongqing is an awesome place.
how quickly u get visa?
Super quick, it’s quite easy too
Enjoy your trip Adam. I’ve been going to China since 1996, but my last trip was in 2008. I am interested in seeing the changes in your videos. My wife is going next month for her first trip there since c0v1d. I work with factories there every day. Cheers!
i live in china for over 6 years now. living here thru the pandemic has forever tainted my opinion of this place. watching this video makes me want to tell you the bad things about this place and the good things but i see that you are coming fresh so i dont want to ruin your vibe. all in all cool to see someone enjoy china hope your not being monitored and your reactions are genuine. YT is banded here by the way so its funny how they would want a youtuber to go there on a promo vid lol
Same here, btw 8 years for me but I left for Thailand one week before China closed the borders.
Hey I was in Australia in that time not allowed to leave and go home to where I actually lived!
Melbourne had the worlds longest lockdown, people being arrested for walking in the street..
No one got that period right
@@keisone word. my apartment building entrance was chained up and locked to prevent people from leaving. imagine if there was a fire Id be a fried dumpling.
@@keisone Bet you weren't transported out of your home in a tiny box and placed in a slightly larger box with barely any livable conditions though, or had your government control the WHO and lie to the whole world, sabotaging the lives of the entire population.
I wasn’t allowed to go to my home..
Enjoy your videos. I have worked and lived in China since 2011and like all countries tales of good and bad can be told but for me it’s generally been a good experience. Alipay and WeChat are probably the two most used apps for buying things but cash can still be widely used. Enjoy the rest of your trip and Xian, Chengdu are worth a visit apart from the more obvious Beijing and Shanghai options( but I have visited them all) 🙂
Damn you guys are fast. 🤣
Haven't you a great life keis? 🎉👍. Flights, hotels, travel anywhere you want. I work part-time in a warehouse 😑🙄😂😂
Nice!! Looks like a great adventure!
Great experience
Looks EPIC
Living legend. Stay safe my Friend. Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming
Thanks brother!
Mmm The photos and the attention, yeah you will enjoy it until you do, because sometimes is from a good place, few times it doesn't.
Welcome to China 👍 I hope your videos will make others curious to experience China by themselves too. It’s necessary to visit China in person in order to understand this country. Nobody should trust press, media and politicians unless they have their own experience. Most people fall in love 🥰 with China when they visit the country.
Epic Adam, enjoy, looking forward from your perspective all the next episodes. I never new this biggest city with 43 million people 😮
So as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🎊
Adam became the main character of the city lol, can't wait to see more!
Have an awesome time. I went to Shaghai in 2017. I had a great time but did fall for a tea scam 😂 heading to Thailand for my yearly trip next week. Can not wait.
lmao. you cannot have an authentic experience in China without falling for a good old school tea scam, at least you have some tea and a good story for tell. haha
Has the Chinese government offered to take you to the Xinjiang re-education camps ? Heard they are pretty nice this time of year !
Maybe head to the Wuhan market and try bat soup.
Bro you're smokn' some of that BBC?
slow donkey trains do run in the states and Australia, China s bullet train runs 350km/hr according to Qxford and Harvard global trust of its own country in news survey, people in UK and US got only below 30% while China got over 90, top of the world how do you like that PEACE
And you have visited US & Australian refugee camps?
@@calvyncraven1141 a refugee will apply and ask for exemption to a migration policy. Chinese government actively seek and try to eliminate ethics.....big difference douche nozzle
if your reading chinese tourism make it less of a hassle for me a dutch guy to enter. love sichan province nice nature food.people
Great to visit places where almost no tourist will come. Just enjoy your trip and have fun, no matter what others say. It is your holiday ;)
You make it sound easy to enter but it’s a pain in the arse getting into China with an Australian Passport so be transparent and how did you do it?
Applied for a visa at a visa centre and was approved same day, it’s not difficult at all?
@@keisone That is very easy as we don’t have that here and still have to do a RAT. Ha ha have to enter via Thailand sounds easy.
There is a reason why there are no other foreigners there. Time to get clued in.
?
You conservative idiots are so annoying tbh
Man, there's like no foreigners (Western people) in a lot of Asian cities
@nawtsurprised - it seems like no one there speaks English so you'd feel lonely in a city with billions of people! At least, Thai people have a general knowledge of English. Are the signs in Chongqin in Chinese and English? I know I could use the Google Translator app to read the signs but it would just be a pain in the arse!
The reason: People are easier to brainwashed than you think. Look in the mirror and you will see one.
you can do everything to promote the city and their country, however, there is a language barrier.
Chongqing looks like fun but I should probably learn some Chinese before I go lol
China’s “soft power”
Keep on crushing ❤
Enjoy your time in China Brother 😊
Oh man, job well done ;-) I think your video - and the ones to come - will make people want to go there immediately. At least it had that effect on me, and I have actually been to some cities in China before.
I was there in 2012, so different from today
Please do a Compare & Contrast with Thailand, since you just left Bangkok, re red light action. (It is probably reminiscent of Thailand BEFORE the American GIs arrived during the Vietnam war era...)
I like Shanghai where I v been there before , I will be there again soon this year lol
Adam will soon find our that he is not free to make whatever video he wants. He will only be shown what the party wants him to see and he will no doubt be required to show his videos to the CCP before he posts them and they will be very hard on him if it's not favourable to them. Adam is such a positive guy that he will probably not upset them and may actually not have any problems but these sort of 'white monkey' tours for vloggers have been part of China's propaganda program for many years. Most vloggers go on these trips without problems the first time but after two or three trips they realise they are being fed horse shit and only being allowed to see what the propaganda machine wants.
Hahaha you know how they call us "white monkeys", I'm tan and they anyway called me "white monkey all the time" I just have thick skin 🤣
Can’t wait until you see my next video 🤣🤣
@@keisone I lived there for four years mate I've seen it all before. They show you a good time to get positive publicity but try talking to people in the street about some of the freedom issues and see how fast the minders appear and lead them and you away in opposite directions. Oh that's right you don't speak Mandarin so you can't can you....
@@keisoneDare you to say something bad.
We might end up with Adam in Dim Sims
@@Shattered65you "claim" you lived there for 4 years. For all we know you are a paid propaganda vlogger like sepentza.
You have to find a local historian to find the historical sites. There is always a lot of cool history in cities in China. I was in Fuzhou and there were some people who worked for Motorola otherwise I was the only white guy they had ever seen. They would comment on how tall I am and especially how big my shoes were and they had no idea I could understand them. When I left, after living in Fuzhou for a few months, I had to show all my pictures and film (it was in the 1990s) to someone who opened all the film and looked at all the digital media I had and kept the exposed film. They searched my bags and when I returned to the U.S. customs seized my cameras and said I had to pay duty on them even though I brought them with me.
Hope all is well Keis - good seeing you in 808 a few weeks ago. I prefer MYSt club actually. Anyway, I just got home and can't wait to go back. Keep up the good work and stay strong!
Cheers bro! Yeah myst is my Jam too!!
I worked in Chongqing for a month…it’s not worth going to. Adam im sue is getting paid to go…unless you’re getting paid to go…don’t do it. Nothing special about Chongqing and I would never bother going back. If you want to see China, go to Shanghai or Hong Kong…better yet, to to Taiwan and skip China, is my recommendation.
@tvo6453 - can anyone in Chongqin speak English? Compared to the Chinese, Thais have a better knowledge of general English. I would feel very lonely in a city with a billion people who couldn't communicate with me!
@@kevinp8108 young people will speak a little, but not a whole lot. If you’ve never been to China, don’t go to Chongqing. Go to Shanghai or Hong Kong. There’s nothing worth seeing in CQ.
@@tvo6453 - yes, it seems like Chongqin is trying to make a name for itself in the tourism industry. It's a landlocked city which I would not normally visit. I like cities by the sea so Hong Kong and Shanghai would be more suited for me! I plan to move to Thailand for retirement in a few years, and I would like to use Thailand as a base for my Asian travels.
Haha Chongqing, they say it is the place with the most beautiful girls from China, but in my experience better Hunan province.
In Sichuan, knowing about the Thai food that you like, I think you will love the food there.
Keep on rockin stay blessed! I loved being in Hangzhou for a month teaching at a summer school camp back in 2010, Even though your in a super large city, it doesnt seem like compared to being in Shanghai or Bejing for sure since not many outsiders around. I enjoyed taking photos with random strangers as well lol.
oh wow, this is gonna be very cool to see. never heard about this city
No minder to escort you around? Hmmm. That's definitely different seeing you are there as an invite guest. Looking forward to see more of the place Adam. Enjoy mate😊👍

Glad you are going to have some contents on China. Looking forward to it! And I expect you to speak Chinese by the end of your trip🙂
Congrats on waking up / /leaving to airport at 3;30AM [ very surprised your leaving so soon ] Sure hope you go to Hong Kong and absolutely don’t skip the small, hidden RLD like you did in Kabukicho. I was in China as a tourist back in December 2018. Visited the main Tier 1 cities and a couple of Tier 2 cities on the side. Never felt threatened at any time whatsoever during my travels in this wonderful country. China is an exciting country to visit; the history, the culture, the food, technology and of course the people are amazing. Yes, as a white guy a lot of people will be interested in you. Me: white hair, skin, blue eyes and average height. It's a great opportunity to understand the people, albeit, the speaking of English is limited, language translator apps is a must. Being an Australian is a big plus, sure, some are aware of the recent misunderstandings between Australia and China (friends who have been there recently), but the majority are super keen to learn more about Australia. Keis, you will be a wonderful ambassador for Australia and of course promoting Chongqing.
win-win doing your thing by bringing new content and getting sponsored. thumbs up.
Take a deep look on how much this country and it's people are lambasted in your comment section, and then compare it to the realities that you see there on the ground.
Then come out learning a lesson on propaganda and how much ignorance plays a part in creating hatred for people, places and things that might not deserve it at all.
I hope you have a fun trip. Don't let the comments get to you. ❤
Hey congrats on the assignment Adam, this could definitely lead to some bigger things for you!
My question is, do many of the locals speak English? Not trying to shine a light on a negative, as it looks like a very clean and beautiful destination, but having communication difficulties in a bustling city like that may put some off, especially families.
It's surprising the amount of fluent English speakers in China (larger cities) Shanghai / Pudong especially.
@@WILLNEVERCONFORMno it’s not. It is surprising if anyone can speak English, yes. If you don’t know any Chinese you are fuxked.

It is kind of ironic for them to sponsor a TH-camr isn't it! I mean did you ask them "how am I supposed to upload my videos though?" Since obviously using google, youtube, etc. is not actually allowed there.
@parasitius - Adam probably had to wait to return to Thailand in order to upload this video. It was probably a short trip.
Lol I’m still here, been here a few days now, having a blast!
There's so many Chinese youtubers mate. People in China use vpns to connect to the wider internet all the time. How do you think China does so much e-commerce selling anything and everything to the world?
@@treeinafield5022 Of course - the difference is that it's interesting because it is government sanctioned. It's different when the govt explicitly funds you to do something that isn't even allowed. When I was a student in China, a Norwegian guy did the wrong Google search about h** r** (this was 2003 long before google was banned) and the were threatening him with SERIOUS consequences within 24 hours. They didn't use the police, they had all the uni professors interrogate him about why he was getting involved in illegal search topics asking if he wanted expelled from the university.
