The true and real Warriors fans did not turn on Klay. I have been a Warriors fan before Klay and Step were there. They played their best and gave the fans 4 championships. All of them deserve respect. I will miss Klay. He is and forever will be a Warrior no matter where he goes..❤💙💛
Klay fell beneath the heel of his own hubris. He was treated with respect his entire career in golden state until it was time for him to sacrifice. He got emotional and dipped simple as that. The dubs did him a solid and he didn’t reciprocate.

Yet they still paid him and even held a starting spot for him in a season that they were winning just fine without him. I'm positive that they would've drafted Haliburton, traded up for Ant, or drafted Lamelo if they weren't thinking about klay coming back the same.
Man I watched Klay's whole career and I cherished him. The last two seasons of him chucking and pouting were very frustrating. We teach children in youth sports to not let the previous play affect the next play. When you're not only a professional but a hall of famer and you're out there getting facecut for easy layups bc you're thinking about your last missed shot, it's extremely frustrating. The way he played last season before getting benched, he wasn't playing for the team... It looked to me like he was playing for Klay. I'll always love Klay for everything, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be frustrated by him. I have all the sympathy in the world for what he's experienced as an athlete who's been to the mountaintop and had it taken away from him but he never mentally accepted/adapted to the player he is now and how he handled that was ugly

Mentally he doesn't want to accept his physical limitations sometimes I think he tries too hard he is in his own head.
Why do fans seemingly forget that Kerr allowed Klay to be Klay for 30 games? Klay’s hall of fame stature inspired BP Quinones and Santos so much they took his minutes.
I think the fans are just hurt right now because he took less to play elsewhere but they will get over it, but as a warrior fan i appreciate Klay for everything hes done for the warriors, all the memories he gave us, i was their when he scored 37 in a quarter against the kings, thank you Klay, we will miss you.😢
