My OB told me to wait 3 months after a miscarriage to try again. I then had an appointment with a fertility specialist the same week (had had 3 miscarriages) and he told me to absolutely try right away. Luckily I had a positive ovulation test strip the next day, and now have the most perfect little one week old I’m holding in my arms now. Ultimately, my husband and I made the decision that was best for us, and we are so glad we did! Everyone’s story is different though. Thinking of all the families out there still on their fertility journeys. 💙
So u tried right away after u had a miscarriage? Or u waited 1 or 2 cycles to try again?
@@kattbrown4228we tried right away. No cycle in between. Our miscarriage was an early first trimester miscarriage (we were about 5.5 week pregnant) and I ovulated pretty quickly after that resolved. Quicker than I expected so we were lucky I even caught it on the ovulation strip. He is our little healthy 10 week old miracle now!
What was your age and level of thyroid ?
I was 29 when we got pregnant, 30 by delivery. 28 and 29 with my miscarriages. Not sure my thyroid level but I know it was in the normal range.

Confirmed my miscarriage today at 8 weeks and 6 days and it is definitely a lot to process as it would have been my first child. 😢 I pray for each and everyone who has had to go through this.
I miscarried at 5w4d (blighted ovum). Started bleeding naturally, but the doctor prescribed misoprostol too. Bled for 5 days, then 2 daysbrown discharge. Day 7 an ultrasound showed uterus was clean, all tissue was eliminated. Day 10 got a positive ovulation test. Day 11had sex. Got pregnant. Now I am 8 weeks 3 days pregnant struggling with nausea. Praying for everything to be ok. At 7w3d had some bleeding and ultrasound showed a hematoma. Haven't bled again til now.
U again had intercourse after 11 days of miscarriage only isn't it risky?

@@bossupathomewithtequila Hi! I had an ultrasound again at 9 weeks. Baby was fine with a strong heartbeat. Hematoma was still there, but the doctor didn't seem worried. Now I am 12 weeks. No visible problems so far,just nausea still lingering and fatigue. I'll have another ultrasound at 15 weeks. I am travelling so I can't have one earlier. Wondering how the baby is doing..

I had my first miscarriage (and hopefully my last) at 9wks and 6 days. The pregnancy was so unexpected as I thought I was done even being ABLE to try since I’m 42 and haven’t had a child since my fraternal twins 15yrs ago.
The loss is incalculable.
And yet…
Apart from the grief, I’m realizing I want another & started doing research on how quickly I could try again.

Being pregnant again after a missed miscarriage is one of the scariest things Ive ever had to go through. Im at 19w now and i am starting slowly to become less anxious. But it's nerve wrecking for sure. I had a missed miscarriage at 10w but found out at my 13w ultrasound. Went through a D&C in january 2022, then they found out the same week I had HSILs, did the biopsies, CIN3 came out as the result, i had a leep in june and finally got the ok from my OB and from the people testing us in for genetic abnormalities (having a miscarriage at 25 years old from a down syndrome positive foetus apparently freaked out my doctor so she asked us to get tested for a bunch of things) to get pregnant in september and we were really lucky, I got pregnant on the first try ❤ waiting for our rainbow baby due in june 2023.

@@jayaoralsurgery1038 we are doing great! Thanks for asking! He came early (4w early), we had a lot of issues with breastfeeding but now he's 3 months old, and he's giving me the biggest cutest smiles when he sees me and he's giving my husband and I a lot of joy every day ❤
I was told to wait until my hCG was back to zero before trying again so they could tell the difference between old and new pregnancy. 🤷♀️ starting trying again before that...Miscarried Oct 2020 and conceived again Nov 2020 with my rainbow baby.

I got the heavy miscarriage symptoms at exactly 12 weeks, and started bleeding 2 days before that.
I'm 25 and we weren't trying with my husband, I just missed a day of pill and found out I was pregnant pretty soon after that. It was my first pregnancy and I was very excited but also very scared.
Now I just feel agonising pain, I guess I didn't know how much I was in love with this baby until I lost it.
Now I know for sure, I really want to be a mom, but I'm so scared of not being able to .
In this pregnancy, I was spotting every few days, which I read is quite common and no reason to be alarmed but now if this happens to me again, knowing myself I will panic and binge read mumsnet posts.
I just hope this was the most difficult part of my "becoming a mom" journey, and I hope to soon talk to my belly again ❤

I had a missed miscarriage, I hate the word abortion for a miscarriage. To me a abortion is a choice to end the pregnancy. I was shocked and kinda offended when my doctor said I had a missed abortion. I had never heard it being called a abortion before. I think it shouldn't be used when talking to women going through a miscarriage. Its hard enough as it is. Personally I didn't feel ready just after my miscarriage at all, my body feels all over the place with hormones, waiting until my period to decide if I will even try again as im 45. I have 2 older kids already.
Same with me when I go to the hospital doctors said my case is complete abortion. One doctor asked me what did I use for complete abortion not knowing what really happened. I just woke up one day and It just left me to soon. they also write my case as complete abortion. Everytime I hear that it tears my heart.
I agree!!! I found out Thursday we had a missed miscarriage. I was suppose to be 10w3d, baby stopped growing 6w2d, no heartbeat. Nothing about this was like an abortion. I 100% wanted to continue with my pregnancy. I’m so sorry you had a terrible experience. Sending you hugs, momma. ❤️

Yes I hate that word being used instead of miscarriage.
The professionals really need to choose more empathetic words. My doctor is great in all other aspects, i think it is just what they are taught, it needs to change!
This video was so helpful! Thank you! I've recently experienced a miscarriage at about week 6, and now a few weeks later it seems like my body is gearing up for ovulation. I've been using expectant management. So, hearing about these studies, while not robust is incredibly helpful to better understand what may be happening with me. Thank you for making this content, and yes! please do further research espeically if it's an easy project as you say with our modern health record keeping and it being SO common of an experience for many pregnancies.

I just had a miscarriage a week ago and I am honestly scared to try again. I was told by my OB that I don’t have to wait 3 months to try again. I was 6 weeks pregnant and had no idea I was even pregnant.
I have been trying to have a baby... it's now 8 months after my second miscarriage.. praying to have a child..
It was recommended for me to wait at least 3 months before trying to conceive after my miscarriage due to psychological issues. They said it would give me time to accept and mourne my loss. I got pregnant withing 3 months. I don't regret waiting, but it probably would have been better to wait as I have never recovered from that loss and suffer anxiety and severe panic disorder since then. It's been 9 years.
I’m so sorry you are suffering. Pregnancy loss can be extremely stressful and I hope you can access some mental healthcare to get yourself feeling better.

I think that’s the only thing that would make me wait is having that high anxiety. Just scared to lose another one back to back. That’s why it’s best to wait until you feel comfortable emotionally regardless of if your capable physically.

I had a missed miscarriage and had d and c.. last ultrasound there’s still left retained product of conception that’s why i was still bleeding for 3 weeks after d and c so this weeks i was ordered by my GP to do another ultrasound which is scheduled next week (Monday) just to double check, he told me, if the retained product of conception is still there then I will have to repeat D and C.
I do want to try to conceive again once i am cleared with any left product of conceptions 🙏 also probably after 3 periods and when I am cleared by an OB 🙏

Had my first miscarriage November 7th 2022… had a d&c November 17th 2022.. waited to have sex for three weeks. Had one period .. and fell pregnant accidentally after my period from December 20th-24th.. conceived somewhere from December 26th/27th. Hi, I obviously will ask my Dr. but I'm not yet seeing an OB/GYN, and I don't really trust my GP to know. I conceived via Clomid (After 2 years of infertility) and have just miscarried (am still miscarrying) at just around 6.5 weeks. For the purposes of doing another round of Clomid should I wait a cycle for a normal period/cycle date? Or can I count the start of the current bleeding as Cycle Day 1?

Hello, i just had a miscarriage on February 23,2024 I was 6weeks and 3days i went naturally with the miscarriage i didnt want a d&c or anything just naturally. Me and my fiancee have been together for 9years, in the past I tryed to get pregnant by him but that was a rough time but I have a 15year daughter and I haven't gotten pregnant in 15years now my daughter is my rainbow baby because I was 6weeks pregnant by her dad and I lost that one than 6months later I got pregnant with my daughter. Now I just turned 35 in March and my fiancee will be 45 in November. Feb 1st the heartbeat was good and strong than on February 23 there was no heartbeat and the embryo stop growing. Now that would have been our first child together. They said it was a chromosome but I have no idea what that means. But we are going to keep trying. Because it may just be me but I feel like Everytime I try for a boy I end up miscarriaging but get blessed with a girl.

Ugh I wish. I’ve never had any health issues and I work out and eat relatively healthy. I’m only 24. I had 2 miscarriages in like 6 months last year. Now I think I might be pregnant again. But I’m not telling family until I make it to 19 weeks. Both miscarriages happened the first day of week 8. If I am pregnant, I’m gonna be dreading the first 8 weeks. I always start spotting at week 5 😔
@@AandM8 Don’t stress it or think about it you can speak it into existence I’ve had 3 total miscarriage at 15,16 and 22. I was told that I wouldn’t have kids and if I did get pregnant it would be a hard stick but here I am blessed with my 3 beautiful princess. When you stop trying that’s when it happens and the first 14 weeks are the most critical weeks I didn’t tell anybody but they dad, my mom and cousin and my sisters the first time until I reached 16weeks then I kept the second 2 to they dad, my cousin and my mom had a feeling. Whatever you do don’t let anybody stress you out and stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. I hope everything works out for you and the little one

A lot of doctors will provide their "opinions" in terms of this topic because it is what has been said in the field. Based on the current evidence exists it appears that conceiving after miscarriage is up to the patients' physical and mental health status.

Aww I'm sending my prayers to you. I know what your going threw I just had a miscarriage February 23 and I was only 6weeks and 3days. I have a 15 year old daughter who is my rainbow baby. I've been with my fiancee for 9years and this would have been our first child together and I'm still grieving in my own way because I felt like it was going to be a boy but than I had a miscarriage. My obgyn acted like she didn't want to answer my questions and just brushes me off. But we are going to keep trying and never loose our faith and hope.

When I was 6 weeks pregnant, mild spotting noted on 42nd day (oct 12) then had heavy bleeding on the next day. Miscarriage confirmed on Oct 14 . My gynec recommend to take misoprostol for 3 days. Then bleeding stopped on

My hcg levels went down to level 1 on the 6th of this month after miscarriage on the 18th of last month. I took a pregnancy test on the the 21st (2 days ago) and I have had 5 positive tests! It looks like I’m pregnant again but I’m a little unsure because of the miscarriage.
same here, I lost my baby at 20 weeks in May 6. I took my hcg test at home after 2 weeks, it was a faint line, and at 3rd weeks it was almost gone. Bt another 2 weeks later I got a positive dark line. I was confused. Then I go to hospital and the nurse got angry when she heard I tried again right away.. then she talk to the doctor and said it could be a new prengnancy or not, they can't tell for sure, and if it is another pregnancy then I'm about 3 weeks pregnant, so they rescheduled my appointment for an ultrasound after 5 weeks.. so by then I can be sure if it's an another pregnancy
@@n0l990 that’s not right for the nurse to get mad at you! I’ve seen all over that there is no evidence that you have to wait. I only hear waiting at least a week or two after miscarriage too start trying to avoid infection.
Same here… I had a ectopic pregnancy and had my right tube removed on the 7-7-22, I tested negative on the 7-18 and tested positive again on 8-3-22 I’m so lost on what to do

I had a D and C procedure cuz my babys heart beat has stopped in the 7th week n I was on my 8th week when I found out I was having a missed miscarriage. I'm feeling so depressed n stressed out as this this my first pregnancy and I was having so much hopes. I'm frightened that this will happen again when I conceive again. I heard ppl saying there are side effects after a D and C like asherman syndrome n stuff, are these something to be concerned before trying again? Also I don't want to wait any longer, I wanna get pregnant again n have the whole pregnancy feeling again soon. My doctor recommended me to wait 2 months before trying again. And why did my baby's heartbeat stop on week 7?

I'm having miscarriage right now, at 6 weeks of being pregnant with my third baby...I've never had any health or fertility issues in my life before..conceived my 2 kids easily before..this third pregnancy just happened when I caught covid.i.didnt know I was pregnant when I caught covid.so I think covid is what caused my miscarriage..I'm bleeding since Saturday and I haven't even seen any doctor..I just want it to end naturally. I just had a miscarriage too, about 4 weeks of being pregnant. I had Covid just a week before I knew I was pregnant too.

I think that is someone’s “hypothesis” but I’ve never seen data around increased chances of successful pregnancy after miscarriage. But it could be true, it just hasn’t been studied. If there is; the underlying reason could be any number of body changes.
I doubt it. For a cervical opening to help, the cervix's normal state has to hinder conception in comparison. In the lab, the vast majority (~90%) of mature eggs are successfully fertilized, yet the percentage of fertilized eggs that turn into chromosomally normal blastocysts is about 21% per my clinic's estimates for women aged 28-35, and each of those has a 60-70% chance of becoming a successful pregnancy. So essentially, each fertilized egg in the lab has about a 13-14% chance of leading to a successful pregnancy. This is LESS than the chances of a typical couple conceiving naturally each month. Given these circumstances, it would appear that a typical couple must also have 90% or more of their eggs fertilized for them to have the chances of conception they do. And if that's the case, the cervix couldn't have hindered things because it could only hinder fertilization, not development. Therefore, a cervical opening wouldn't help because enough sperm are getting across to fertilize most of the eggs even without the opening.

I had an ectopic last September and then again a miscarriage this April. Hubby and I been trying to get pregnant since June, but still nothing. Is it normal to always have like an uncomfortable sensitivity in the area where you had the ectopic?
I also had ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage. Everytime I’m on my period the side I got my tube removed it hurts till this day and I also suffer from shoulder pain still till this day too.

I have two different friends one is 48 and just gave birth to her first five months ago and my second friend also gave birth to her first at 48 and now she's 50 and just gave birth to her second(both friends got pregnant naturally)..get prenatal tests done..live a healthy lifestyle also take prenatal vitamin..folic acid and trust ur body..if your body didn't allow the baby to be viable then there was a reason..as long as ur getting ur period you can get pregnant,dont let anyone tell u otherwise ..God makes miracles happen everyday sweetie .

Wow thanks, no matter if you’re 40 or whatever, after reading Dobbie Nerkstrol's guide, I ended up pleasantly surprised. Within 60 days anyone can get pregnant, feeling the changes in your body the first few weeks. After go’ogling her I understood it's not a miracle kind of thing like the title suggests, but you can bet you'll boost your chances.

Most women have had a miscarriage or two. The chances of carrying a baby to term doesn't change with a single miscarriage. Even two isn't considered problematic. It's when you get to three miscarriages that your risk goes up, because having three or more miscarriages is indicative of some sort of problem.
