Hey guys! Today we are going to address the common question of “How often can you bathe your dog?”
The answer is: As often as necessary!
Well lets get into detail about this:
Dogs skin produces natural oils to help their hair grow healthy every day. If you bathe an adult dog everyday, lets say, this will get rid of a lot of these oils and it disrupts their hairgrowth and coat consistency. Their skin will also get dry, it can be itchy, flakey and irritate your dog. This is the main reason most literature online will say to only bathe your dog once a month or once even every 3 momths.
If you have a puppy and they are constantly getting dirty, (which puppies love to do) you can bathe them almost every day or I recommend using baby wipes to help skip a day of bathing but keep your puppy clean.
Just wipe down their whole body on the outside of their fur. This way your not even contacting the skin where the dogs oils are hanging out doing what they need to do.
I live on a farm and my dogs get super dirty, so we are constantly giving our dogs bathes! I would say we give them a bath every few days or 1 - 2 weeks. We use Zymox products which is gentle and not drying to the dogs skin. I also use their cream rinse after the shampoo part to keep their skin conditioned and soft.
For this video ill quickly show you how I give Sophie my standard poodle puppy a bath. She gets urine staining on her fur and she needs frequent sanitary baths to keep her healthy.

You can definitely bath a dog in a stainless steal sink. If you are using shampoo, the germs and bacteria are being washed being washed away. Just like hand washing. I recommend putting low water in the sink for them to soak and it keeps them nice and warm and helps loosen debris in the hair and skin. I use a conditioner separately but also cowashing with the (conditioner & shampoo) works well too. Sanitize and wipe down the sink with Lysol solution when done. Thanks for sharing .

Can you suggest cleaning products for an English bulldog puppy or French bulldog I’ve just got one of each and wondering if I’m yawing the right product they have lot of dandruff and I try to use this cleaner and conditioner like 2 times at week and brush it after but I don’t see any progress

We have a goldendoodle who is very messy. He likes to get k to everything lol. Is one week in between showers ok? His skin doesn't seem dried out.
I have her apricot sister, she loves the water, I have a medium size river going through the property and she plays in it every day during the summer, are you suggesting she should not get wet daily, or are we just talking limiting shampoo baths....
Products seems great, but, it’s description say for puppies that has infections etc. my dog has a mild itching only.
One thing I don't understand is why would someone say that bathing dog everyday can be bad.Main reason that got me thinking this is because on summer days most dogs will spent most of the time in pools or in water in general.So how that is not bad, but bathing is bad?I mean if we don't use shampoo everyday.I'm not saying that bathing everyday is nessary, or even more than 1-2 times per week, but just saying is completely false that water is bad for dogs.People also not supposed to bath every day, but I can't imagine not showering.And when I have my gym exercise I bath 4 times per day.If we take that dogs skin is protected by fur, and ours is not (i know different type of skin), but still the products we use for our bodies are way more harsh than those made for dogs.

Your conditioner says leave in so why rinse it off
It is also very important that you make sure you absolutely get off all the shampoo because if left on it can irritate your dog's skin

I’m so glad she said I can use baby wipes because I’ve been wanting to so bad but I read it wasn’t good for them so igs I will know when I actually try them out ❤ my puppy sometimes gets dirty on her paws by accidentally stepping on pee or poop and she sleeps w me so I always want to make sure she is clean now I know to use wipes instead of a whole bath every time

Just adopted this beautiful Terrier he gets squirmy during his bath. Hes 3 months old. :)
My puppy is squirmy too except drying him is harder as he wants to bite the towel the whole time lol
Idk if this helps since it’s been a long time and ur dog may not be a puppy anymore, but what helps me is getting a long towel where she can nibble on one end while the rest of the towel can be used to dry her off

My dogs are my life. They are both 8 and they've been bathed maybe 4 times.
bathing my beagle is a big chore... easier to do her in the shower with the hand held piece... thats my advice

Why would you wear a stethoscope around your neck to wash a dog? There wasn't a lot of detail about specifically cleaning the face, and I'm thinking cotton balls in the ears would have been a good preventative measure while bathing, not a lot of informative information. Extremely basic. How about mentioning not getting water in the dog's snout. What about washing the dog with the direction the hair is growing? What about the importance of not getting water in the dogs ears? The only thing that was going on here was trying to sell a product.
