As a guy who went bald young. Basically I say hide it while in early stages but when it becomes not feasible to hide either rock a very short buzz or clean shave. If you don't have strong facial features also grow a beard or wear stylish glasses.
Same here. I have been shaving my head grade 1 since my mid twenties and Bic razoring my head since my thirties. I could get away with this look until late thirties but now I'm forty two and the lack of hair puts more emphasis on my aging 40's skin.
I'm at the very start of the beginning to not care what I look like anymore and finding the karmic humour in it.
I'd still like to look young though.
If I looked like Jason Statham....no problem.

In my opinion if you're balding a buzzcut and beard combo is instant macho!
Shave it clean or, leave a complimentary stubble shadow. There, I just saved you ten minutes of valuable time.
If I was as handsome, confident and built like Jason statham, hairloss or fall would not be a problem.

I use to have nice thick wavy hair and now I'm thinning! This video is great but it's just SOOOOOOOOO hard to let it go... 😣
Some advice for my fellow bald gents: Get some sun on you (balding + paleness makes you look like you're sick), sunglasses and reading glasses are a big plus (even if you don't need them), facial hair is also a big plus but keep it in check(eyebrows groomed , everything else as short as possible) and don't wear collarless, mock neck or turtle neck shirts(those make your head look like an egg on a stand).

If your hair is thinning, your hairline receding or you're getting that Friar Tuck look, don't mess around with hair paint spray or tons of "product." Just own it and rock the power bald look...and make sure to put a good shine on your head (so it almost looks wet.)
My wife loves feeling on my bald head.
I always had a classic caesar cut most of my life but it's more modern today and I keep it shorter and I do different styles with it. I say it's similar to a crew cut but I love more modern caesar cuts so many different ways to style it.
Due to a pretty large bald spot on my crown area, I simply shave the sides and back and just leave some peach fuzz on top.

What are your thoughts on the new tattoo procedures to fill in bald spots? I know there's a bit of a style commitment since one cannot shave completely bald as that part would remain. The second complication is graying hair and how to compensate for that.

I have thin, hay-colored hair and receding fast from front, and also I have really light brows, almost invisible. So, that makes people really notice that there's something weird going in the upper part of my face. But I'll try some short hairstyles and maybe grow some beard to draw attention more to the bottom of the face? Not sure, it might create even more contrast and look strange. Don't want to shave it completely off either.

I've been shaving my head since highschool. When I was about 22 I decided to grow out my hair and realized I was thinning in front so I went back to clean shaven. If you're going to shave your head, don't forget to put sunscreen up there.

@ kwaad777 - Why is the problem solved ? :-0 Than you are still a bald guy, just with muscles. Why would that change anything ? If you or others don't like bald heads, muscles won't make it more attractive...
@@mart_en Because the main problem with baldness is that it makes men less attractive by lessening masculinity. Losing hair (and other aging aesthetics) takes away from a youthful/healthy attractive look. Adding other aspects that can be associated with a healthy masculinity like muscle or a beard can help.
@@sphong0610 I know, it's called compensation. But if a woman doesn't like a bald head, a bald head + muscles won't change her mind. Going to the gym only improves your self confidence but does'nt improve your look. Especially since 8 out of 10 women don't like muscle guys anyway, even with hair ...

Ok, so my boyfriend has a long, oblong, oval or triangle face, honestly whatever shape Grant Gustin has. And soft hair that doesn't like to style easily, what styles would you recommend?
Please help. My hair has always been my pride and joy. I figured since it is pretty damn healthy, it could deal with some bleach damage. And I figured the master stylist who did all the color-corrections would know how much would be too much. I was wrong, and now I want to burst into tears every time I look at my hair or touch it. I'm not jason but I've been rocking one 2fade fotso long that buzzing on one does it. Now the beard covers the lack of halr.
For a receding hairline that's not so bad u can just let ur hair grow long on the side and brush it over then thinner out your hair lower down the sides it'll give the illusion for thicker hair on top.

i think shaving your head is also high maintenance, because you stell have hair growing on the sides so you have to keep shaving ect, also if the head is shiny or misshapen it also looks pretty bad...
Kyle, I need to find a great men’s barbershop or salon, I usually go for a medium high skin fade and keep it short in top, that’s because I really don’t know what else to ask for it would be great if I could go into a barber shop talk to someone and get the best advice on what to do that best suits myself, could you give any advice

I've always wanted to have John Travolta hair. That guy still has black thick hair even when he was over sixty, and his hairline is actually growing lower and lower! Amazing! I am so jealous. Hands down, best looking hair in Hollywood.

As a 10 year everyday shaver, if you’re scared of what people will say try to remember that aside from the people you know... everyone else you meet will think this is your look.
Useful Tips:
-buy good shavers.
And some with the single blade on the back to clean around the years.
-do it while you take a shower.
After you shave throw some conditioner or a high moisturizer body wash.
-don’t rush: you’ll eventually cut yourself. Most of the time it’s because you didn’t take your time. Cuts in heads are really noticeable so relax.
- map out your head: make a routine of all sides of your head. Missed spots look dumb.
You are so right,when I started to shave what little I had off,people who knew me give odd looks,yet when I went into a big city no 1 looked twice,I have giant egg head,need some stubble

My issue is NOT a spot. My entire head of hair is thinning especially the sides. It is also very fly away hair which has a mind of its own. I have no idea what to do with it. Very think over entire head. No bald spot.

What is the purpose of worrying so much about one's appearance. Anyhow, it is our personality that creates an impression, not our appearance. Look at Jason Statham. He is bald but looks so manly and amazing. The association between hair and beauty is just our mindset.

Good video for younger men. Under 45 you have another option and spend money to get a really good weave. Otherwise over 45 I say embrace it. Having lived in a desert all my life I don't advocate a tan because after 50 you're going to spend time and money getting rid of sun spots and patches, they're inevitable. It will also damage your skin and you'll wrinkle and crease like a prune big time. I see that a lot. If you're short on hair (hahaha) damaged skin emphasizes it. Better to keep your skin in great, clear, smooth condition and use a fade cream if you have to keep color even. If you have some hair all over your head keep it short and choose a good hair color. Fillers are useful sometimes for an event, a presentation or photos but otherwise too much trouble. If you have large bald ring either in back or front back shave it off if your head shape allows for it and facial hair if you can wear it. Keep facial hair trimmed and color if it suits your skin tone.

It's better to keep it short ... I had thin hairline from very young age. Recently moved to short n trimmed way .... setting is no 1 with trimmer. Looks far better than having hair .... now nobody ask me whether I am loosing hair ... ... that's the good part .... earlier it was confidence buster ... now no more ...

But you don't have to shave it every day. You can just use clippers once or twice a week. Takes about five minutes.
if that is the case, change you style of clothing to reflect a softer image for instance you would not want to wear a bikers jacket with the bald look,do you see what i am getting at ?
You dont need to shave your head every day once every other day is sufficient enough, and once you start shaving your head you speed will improve i can shave my head in under 3 mins without even thinking about it.

Ravi Sharma yes and no. Poor diet can mess with your bodies hormones which can lead to other health complications but in reality their isn't much research done on the correlation between the two.

For people with thinning hair, using Toppik hair fibers is the best solution there is without having to go bald.
A combination of using hair fibers, hairspray, and a hair dryer will surprisingly give your hair much more volume.
Also trim your sides short to give the illusion that there is more hair than usual.
That's because it gives off a more obvious color contrast between the sides (lighter hair color depending on how short it is) and the top of the head (darker hair color).
Don't just go bald because many people don't have the facial features to pull it off (not everyone looks like Jason Statham).
Try to retain what you have and keep your hair healthy.
Use Aveeno baby hair shampoo (less chemicals) and Nizoral shampoo (2-3 times a week) to reduce inflammation of your skull.
Take biotin to strengthen your hair.
All of the above are just conservative solutions. There's more aggressive treatments like hair loss medications but I don't suggest touching that stuff. If you really have no more hair left, then just consider a hair transplant or embrace the baldness.
Yes. I use Strand Maximizer--similar to Toppik--for thinning on my crown. It's amazing. I've been caught in the rain with it in, and it's never washed out. You'd have to jump in a pool or get stuck in a monsoon. A lot of guys are skeptical at first. I also agree with you that the "just cut it off" advice doesn't apply to everyone. That's easy to say to someone with a dark(er) complexion, not so easy for those with lighter complexions.

I can't help but stare at someone with very short blading hair that use sprays to fill in their hair line.
I make it easy for my barber. I tell him to do a number 1 all over and a tapered neckline. It works well for a baldy like me.
If you are not so worried about the tapered neckline, you can cut it yourself to save money.

Keep it short, stay tan and a little facial hair. Trying hold on when it's gone make it look bad and makes you look older IMO.

There's a lot of echo, and his voice sounds kinda muffled. Great tips though!
A far better solution: brush scalp with contact cement then sprinkle grass seed over it and water liberally for 10 days. If you need super fast results buy 1 square foot of sod at Home Depot, lay it on top of your head and use pruning shears to cut a proper outline around ears and neckline etc. Trust me, women love a guy who can rock this look and own it with confidence.
