I have the same kit. But what I dont know is where I connect the 5v AC adapter for the leds. I havent bought it yet, but you never show how it is connected to the board.
just got this kit to got it all working but the led part i no idea how that works looking at your video show the cables Daisy Chain but where dose it get power from is it on the usb encoder there not much videos on it showing how it works
my stupid self bought a kick to quick to realized that it was a difference kind of USB encoder board that included the led lead, so its a 3 wire plug not a two wire plug, which is great for ease of installation for all the LED buttons it came with BUT I have 3 buttons that were not part of the kit that I want to use so how would I go about splicing or figuring out what each pin on the 3 pin plug does.
Hi I have a PC mame base arcade machine. I would like to play with my ps3 using the same cabinet and using the same joystick. Is there any encoder you recommend to use to be able to use the joystick for the pc and ps3 thanks.
am used to the happ and sanwa quality. buttons but if this do the job i would use them to build a couple arcades for some friends that dont want to spend the money in a quality setup hope to hear from you once you use them for a couple months. i did see a lot more movement when you where pressing on the broken one. so that might be an issue overall thanks for all the great videos.
Awesom videos man. I'm Having a problem with the wiring with these buttons the blue LED are working and the red are not. Then if I reverse the wiring the red work without the blue. Once one set is on the other is off?? Any taughts? Thanks
Great video. Question: it is really easy to plug the wire into the microswitch... It kinda locks into place, but is there a trick to unplug the wire from the switch if you have to make a correction? Using pliers or something? Feels like I'm going to break it.
you have to get a power supply 5v 1 amp cut the wire open and splice it to a harness to run to the buttons, check this video th-cam.com/video/Id0kkgit8P4/w-d-xo.html
Hello, I have the same kit but my micro-switch holder doesnt enter in the button, will it be a problem with my kit> or there is a trick to assemble this, it doesnt work even when I try with more force :(
I fix it, there was little plastic edges in the bottom of the button, causing that microswitch didn't keep in place, but i remove that edges with a pencil and now the button fits perfect!, thanks anyway.
DrewTalks i know how to get them working but without a encoder board cpule you show how to make them work with encoder baord for 2 player please because there much cheaper to purchase
You talking about wiring directly to GPIOS? github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/GPIO-Modules I recommend the encoder boards they are super cheap and more flexability - you can find them on ebay

Do you have a video to show how to wire them individually?
Does the little control board work with track balls?

So which port do you plug the led wires into? Does it matter where?
That would of been some great information to know rite 👍 😅

The Blair Witch Joystick video. Yay for shaky cam footage. Decent video other than that.

yeah its tough!!!! plyers and wiggling...there may be another secret i am not aware of...
pliers work
I ended up snapping and had to resolder it
What’s the diff between yellow and green Zero Delay encoders?
A lot of the zero delay encoders are very similar...some have additional features like a built in amp
Do I split the two joysystick wires apart
Yes
I also purchased a simliar kit and it did not include the LED wires. As you said, quite misleading. Did you use the molex connector or a jamma psu?
molex
What do the led positive and negative lines plug into to power it? I have this kit and I have no idea where it plugs
