    Beautiful tutorial, thanks so much for sharing! I was wondering, have you tried using heat-erase pens to draw patterns, rather than pencil? I use them on fabric, and the lines disappear quickly with just warm air from a hair-dryer. I haven't tried using them on paper, but a quick google search says that the heat-erase pen lines can be easily removed from paper by erasing them with the rubber eraser tip on the end of a pen. I'm not sure if that would work on painted paper like you're using, but it might be worth the experiment.
    I LOVE heat-erase pens! I use them to draw embroidery patterns on fabric, and not only do the lines disappear completely using a hair-dryer or hot iron, but I've found I can erase tiny bits of line with the tip of a heated awl or large needle to fine-tune my delicate patterns. I'm hoping to incorporate some qulling and/or your beautiful paper leaves into my mixed media embroidery designs, thanks for your inspiring vids!

      That's great! Thanks for mentioning! :) I have heard of such pens but I have never tried them. I like doing embroidery too, on occasion (whenever I get the time), maybe I'll try those pens one day ;).

      @@MiriamsQuilling *nods* I enjoy a wide variety of crafts, but embroidery is my favorite. I tried water-soluble pens, but it takes time for the fabric to then dry, and sometimes they leave ink stains. And I can't get pencil up out of fabric, any more than you can get it off of your paper crafts, it just won't budge. So the heat-erase pens are a lifesaver for me, just sooo easy and effective! If I get around to it, I'll try them on some paper and post back. Love your quilling vids, Miriam....very creative, beautiful, and inspiring!

    Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! Your leaves look so realistic my mind is blown. I am wondering if you can use watercolors instead of the liquitex acrylic on that same paper and if you have any thoughts on that?

    • @MiriamsQuilling
      @MiriamsQuilling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really don't know what to say as I've never tried with watercolors. I guess it's all about trying and seeing if it works. I used ink because the colors have a less chance of rubbing off if, say, you accidently touch it with something wet. But you can still try using watercolors, and see if it works. Also, you can try using other acrylic inks too, it doesn't necessarily have to be liquitex. I've been using other acrylics inks too lately, from other brands.

      @@MiriamsQuilling Thank you! I ordered the paper and I’m going to try watercolors before getting the acrylic inks.
