Good on you brother I was a little shit when I was younger always getting arrested but I always showed respect to the police and I always ended up being treated with respect and the last time I went to court the arresting officer (I forget her name sadly) stood up for me and helped me get out of trouble with just community service and an apology letter

I'm glad to hear that police turned your life around. People make mistakes, but correcting your mistakes is what makes you who you are. You are not defined by your past. Your past simply shapes your future. That doesn't always mean your life follows the same and/or consistent patterns, just gives you the opportunity to reflect and make decisions based on that. It's cool you're an electrician. That's a great job. I'm a heavy machinery operator on road construction. Electrician are pretty badass. I can make electrons move with basic circuits and get basic housework done but the extent electricians do it is crazy!

It always amazes me how people in these cop videos always try to tow the line and say that oh well they're professional cops if they don't mess with you. They wont mess with you if you follow the laws. It's funny because the only time I've ever been pulled over as well somebody else has been driving. I paid my tabs, I paid my insurance, I have a legal registered license, and obey all traffic laws. It's very easy to avoid being pulled over and harassed by somebody when you follow the laws and a bide by the regulations for your vehicle in order for you to drive it. It's usually those with expired insurance, expired tabs, a hold on their license or something along those lines. Sometimes it's because they're just a dumb driver and don't fall the road laws. At the end of the day it's very easy to avoid the police if you just follow the laws. It's as easy as breathing air, or leaving a TH-cam comment.

This is one of the best cases for bodycams in existence. I promise you, if she thought she could get away with it, she would have lied about the officer's conduct.
I wouldn't be surprised if she actually tried and the judge told her about the bodycam footage, thus ending her little "law suit" before it even got off the ground
you know whats even better? there is a video on this same channel (code blue cam) where a woman goes batshit crazy in the back of a police car when she interferes with a police investigation and gets herself arrested. she even told one of the officers she hoped his wife gets raped.

Why would she need to lie it's on video when the officer unlawfully threatened the passenger with obstruction and arrest for not identifying even though the passenger had every legal right to refuse because he was not suspected of any crime at that point but then the officer fabricates a seat belt violation on the passenger only after he declined to identify but the cop never mentioned that in the beginning as a reason for the traffic stop. Cops are legally allowed to lie to you about anything and everything so why should you trust a single word they say at all

Having bodycam footage as an officer has got the be a godsent for your psyche. Knowing that everything is being recorded feels like you can be gentle as a butterfly and the douchebags will speak for themselves. And even if things escalate, you can get rough knowing you also recorded a justification for it. Keep calm and follow your protocols like a pro.
Bodycams were originally intended to prove that Pookie,Ray Ray & Corn Pop were doing nothing illegal when the racist cops just mag dumped them for no other reason than their skin color.
Instead,95% of the body cam video proved that the defendant was not complying with lawful orders or actively fighting the officer & defense lawyers have been trying as hard as possible to exclude the evidence from the trial.
Yeah, sometimes. Other times, its probably terrifying. Knowing that you might have to make life or death decisions, in a split second, while hopped up on adrenaline and fight or flight.
And then someone might clip, take it out of context, and from the safety of their couch, in slow mo, theyll judge you like it was a chess move you carefully decided on, instead of an impossible decision you made in .5 seconds, off pure instinct, while scared for your life.
But, it does stop corrupt cops from playing god too. So.. double edge sword.

@yungblod Well, I think there was reasonable suspicion, so I believe the officer was not being unlawful in asking for identification. Although laws vary from state to state. Edit: a quick Google search told me that in Wisconsin (this situation) you do not have to show if you are not in custody or detained. I think by this point in the video, they were detained.
@@praingmantis1 he was not suspected of a crime at that point the cop never mentioned anything about the passengers seat belt violation when he stated the reasons of the traffic stop. He only fabricate that claim after the passenger lawfully denied his request for ID and you can see in the video when the passenger takes off the seat belt after being stopped

Anytime I’ve ever had to deal with someone like this I’ve found solace in realizing that they’re most likely a miserable person 24/7, and despite the headache they’re causing me at least it’s temporary…..versus the nonstop ridiculousness that their life most likely is.
Yeah as miserable as they make the rest of us, it does provide a modicum of relief that they make themselves far more miserable. Unfortunately this is solely because other’s (parents) abused them. Familial or generational trauma/abuse.

@@rbarnes4076 while I agree that some people are just rotten human beings. However I dp think that their experiences in life are what has created that rottenness. These types of mental illnesses are a result of disordered emotional regulation which is a known effect of trauma. Now that trauma can vary MASSIVELY, between people but even more so between the sexes. Things that do not affect men, as severely, often affect women far more devastatingly. It isn’t an excuse though, IF they are adults they are still responsible for their actions, however it is an explaination. Additionally it can help law enforcement and the medical community in addressing these behaviors before they become a problem for the rest of society. We are seeing this play out in real time, all the time now. One just needs to turn the “news” on to see the effects of normalizing mental illness.
@@sarahalderman3126 it's hard to play devils advocate, especially when it's so easy to chalk up someone as them being a jerk just because they are. There is always an underlying problem that eventually causes itself to manifest to outward emotions and actions. I've never met someone who was an asshole that didn't have some sort of bad childhood, or something not wired right in their brain, or I just caught them on a bad day. Instead of sitting back and pointing and laughing I agree we should focus more on mental health and substance abuse programs.

She did talk her self into that, but this is a super rare case in which the person talked their way out of it as well. The cop didnt want to have her in his car to get her to the jail.

I get the sense you meant it, but she’s about as pleasant as being handed an official letter stating you’re under IRS audit, while sitting in your dentist’s chair having a molar drilled out! I was parked drinking Diet Pepsi when a cop came up and started screaming at me that someone reported I was driving and drinking. It was because of videos like these that I took a deep breath, grabbed all the composure I could then calmly explained what I was doing there.

@@williamrosenbloom215 It went well. They realized I wasn't doing anything wrong. It took me about a year trying to figure out why he was screaming in such a harsh way. I think it was because I was on my phone and I put it on the passenger seat when I saw them approaching. I think he probably thought I was "reaching" for something and wanted to get the upper hand immediately. Oh, did I mention I'm an 80 yr old woman? I wasn't used to being talked to like that and wanted to talk back but stayed calm.
It's NOT obstruction because he didn't have to identify. It's NOT legal to simply run license plates without reasonable suspicion.

I was the passenger and didn't have my license on me. He made me tell him my name 6 times. Then told me 3 times that lying to an officer is a crime. Turns out he was angry he couldn't find any warrants for me so he thought I was lying

Donut, as a drug recognition expert, friendly reminder you don't call a DRE to the scene to do some special tests. You make the determination if they are in fact intoxicated on something you believe to be other than alcohol, in the field, and they meet you at the jail
Nah. Most cops don't use DREs very often and are confused as to how we function. Mostly poking fun at a fellow cop

@@mattharper588 I'm an actual drug recognition expert and I've been a cop for 15 years. So I know how it works too and better than the average cop since it's literally what I do. My comment was a cop busting another cop's chops over a common cop joke about how DREs are used
@@mra8162 It's a specific certification police officers can undertake that primarily focuses on impaired driving enforcement as it relates to motorists impaired on anything other than alcohol.
No joke, a LOT of younger women in WI act just like this. I hate this state so much and the sad part is there aren't many much better or worth the expense to move to. The quality of the people in this country has dipped into the septic tank.
