Personally I think this is the best live version of this song I've ever heard them do, and I've heard almost all I can find on TH-cam. Amazing vocals by Cornell.
In my opinion, this one doesn't beat the live at Toronto in 1993. Both performances have powerful vocals, but in Toronto I can see more versatility, more of the melodic side of Cornell's voice, and not just the crazy high notes.
In the 90s i was friends with a guy who headed up a soundgarden fan club in PA. He gave me handfuls of cassettes with loads of live and rare soundgarden stuff. I had live versions of Beyond the Wheel but not this one. This take is incredible!! Thanks for sharing!
This must have been right before Chris fucked up his voice. If you listen to shows from the Superunknown tour his voice was definitely damaged and didn't quite sound as good until he got vocal surgery later on.
Jesus, it’s like a thunder rolling through abandoned building. So haunting and scary at the same time
It's just insane
hard to choose which version of this song is best...it always sounds better live than on the album
wow, some of the best vocals there have ever been and will ever be.

There’s better ones, I found 2 on Spotify that blew me away
@@Baggotbigger Those are higher quality recordings, but if you listen closely I think Chris does some crazier stuff on this one
@@leviathan3630 I saw most of "Beyond The Wheel" perfomrances that exist in the internet and this one here is imo the best out there

PRAISE CORNELL
Wish I could see a video of this too... it would be amazing
Pure gangsterism
Robert Plant is a legend, but he couldn't carry Chris's doc martens.
Thats right brother !
100% my brother....
Cornell was on a whole other level
lets just appreciate both legends divine level
Peak human.
🤘🤓🤘
@mcclaij4 I know what you mean. Checkout the performance of this song from San Fran 92 that I have on my channel. I swear it will blow your mind!
