    you can also stuff a rag in the radiator hole so your funnel doesn't move

    Check all wires and make sure they are clean and tight, especially ground.

    So theres no bleeding procedure or anything, just drain and fill? Awesome vids by the way

      No bleeding procedure. Just do a quick heat/cool cycle and check level.

    Great tutorial! But IMO It's better to buy the right coolant for bikes rather than buy coolant because it's cheap. Probably won't do any harm but Engine Ice is the only coolant I use. Pricey but keeps lower Temps (they claim this, and, unless my temp strips were wrong at the exact time I changed my coolant, it's true)

    Thanks Matthew I will. Hate to keep bugging you but just 1 more thing. The 2 wires extending to the brush holder I connected to the brush connections, hope that was right and not to the mounting bolts themselves. Thanks a million.

    What was the reading and at what RPM? At idle, you'll be lucky to get 12.5V, should get 14.5-15.5V at 5k RPM. A good batt will have 12.6V.
    I'm going to eventually remove this comment since it's under the wrong vid.

    So I installed the new stator and rotor, new brushes and a new R/R. Started it up and checked with the voltmeter but it's reading low. The battery was low to begin with, I'm charging it now but I noticed that it never gets fully charged. Battery another problem you think? Thanks

    Great vid! I have a 2007 KX250f and I have to replace the coolant every time I change the oil/ oil filter (Just because the oil filter and coolant are under the same case) I was just wondering if there is a particular method and if that's normal?

    can someone put up a video of the coolant bleeding procedure.. because im a car mechanic and its not just pour coolant in and then your done..you have to wait untill thermostat opens etc etc whats the procedure for a bike..

    • @HTMR
      @HTMR  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pour it in, run it for a bit, top off, then your done. No thermostat on these so they bleed very easily.

    you should never replace the bolt with a tool always line it up with your fingers so you don't strip it out

    • @HTMR
      @HTMR  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tip, I've never stripped it with my method. Sometimes you can't get your finger in places.

    • @jaked9538
      @jaked9538 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats if you are using like air or electric tools, you have to be going really hard to strip with a hand tool

      R.C.A bobby don't use tap water or hose water when flushing a radiator only in a emergency because of the minerals

    do you have to cut the coolant with water? or was that just bc you didnt buy the motorcycle-specific stuff

    • @HTMR
      @HTMR  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I buy straight coolant and mix with water myself. If you buy ready to use coolant, it is half water, yet full price. It's a rip off.

      @@michaeljonathan543 Chances are too much coolant was put in and it was simply puking it out due to expanding when heated. Correct level should be about 1/2" below neck.
