Transdimensional Refute To Gerhard Richter's Critics Found Footage
This piece is a response to critics of Gerhard Richter’s images he made of scaled along the Y-axis, titled Strips. I take his process born from render glitches from previous films of mine that produced similar Y-axis pixel glitches, then add more dimensions of glitches and shapes, so in essence it becomes a multi-dimensional piece instead of just the 1 dimensional result of his process. A continuously glitching film of colour, line, movement and even time with subtle glitched artefacts across all times of media technology. I try to connect with that base level of human consciousness, seeing beauty in seemingly random lines and colours, rapidly shifting across the piece, with a droned soundtrack designed to work within our internal rhythm.
