Wealth from Corruption and paper pushing is more important. The idea is to work for corrupt individuals like Soros at World Bank. So, he did what every IAS does which is Anti-nationalism.@@jayantdrummer

@Baemons007that's the highest Quality bro in mobile 😂😂😂
Shows that we are fooled on quality of picture.
This is going to sound wierd, but most old film reels had very very high resolution, look up 2001 a space oddesy resolution, it was made in the 1960s, and due to the size of the film reel it is in 16k resolution, modern cameras can take in light better, but technically film still has greater resolution size.
@mahaveergautam8827 difference in the technology used.
Digital cameras are limited by resolution(pixels) but in past cameras used reels. In the case of reels the only limitation I can think of is the density of atoms.
For example compare a physical photo and a digital photo on screen. Resolution of digital photo is limited by pixel on the screen but it is not true for the physical photo as the smallest detail is made by individual atom/group of atoms.
similar thing is happening with this footage. In this case they scanned the physical reel(photos). You can get even 8k or more resolution from those old reels the only limitation is the equipment you are using to scan it(it uses pixels lol).
Even today highest quality movies are made using reels
Sry for the bad English.
"ias offers a lot of variety"
Evergreen answer
So true!
Just think for a moment most of the toppers of upsc are engineers
What do you mean by a "Green Answer"?
Do you mean, Honest & Innocent Answer or Inexperienced & Naive Answer?
Please Reply, I wanna know this to improve my vocalbulary.
@@nikunjamalakar Bro the connontation "evergreen" here means something that does not changes like something good that passes through times. Like the candidate in the video says "ias offers a lot of variety" people in 1970 also used to give the answer and people in 2024 also use the same phrase when they are asked why do you want to become an IAS. So the answer hasn't changed through time. Therefore it's an "evergreen answer" .
Oh by the way I condone your endeavours for improving your English vocabulary.
@@nikunjamalakar green does mean naive and young. like a green sprout. but this is mostly used by british folks. in slang green can mean jealous as well as marijuana. but the phrase "ever green" means (as the person above said) something that stays the same. remains fresh. like an old tree or forest. learn to pick up context then you'll better understand. it just isnt possible to remember and memorize every single meaning of every single phrase
people were so talented at that time, this video is a hidden gem
Can't disagree with this.
No they were not. The average Indian IQ in 1990 was 46 and now it is around 77. That is below Global average. A far improvement. But saying people were so talented makes me laugh 😂

His reason for MBA is too weak. He doesn’t have passion in any.

PEOPLE WERE SO TALENTED . WITHOUT INTERNET, SO-CALLED COACHING CENTRES, MUCH RESOURCES.
So true!
Beacuse of internet so many students from lower middle class families are able to access resources, but in those times only people from well to do families were able to even attempt for this exam
@@go.shree.Not true ! My father hailed form a family of a hand to mouth farmer and many from his batch were so. One among them was the son of a street vegetable vendor. UPSC offers equal opportunity to all and it’s upon the grit and determination of an individual to battle the circumstances to emerge a winner.
@@sumitkain That is an exception, not the norm. Classic survivorship bias. Now compare with how many from poor background failed vs how many from rich background failed. You don't get selected in UPSC for battling poverty.
Even When Resources were so less for Aspirants, he made it to the Top... So Talented and Educated and the way he Communicates 🔥🔥💫
So true!
no one had resources except the rich
@@rebelmotivation1293 Yes...That's True
Competition was also less......I mean he definitely was talented none the less....MBA from IIM....damn
Then and again.....competiton at IIM was also less......as a side by side comparison if you check the JEE Advanced paper that year vs now.....they are leagues apart.....hence with a growing, more educated society, competition is building up substantially which was simply non-existent at that time.
I have heard my grandfather tell that in my locality, government jobs would be distributed for free back in those days.....such was the condition
@@nandinisaha1841 more educated society ? maybe, but I feel the main reason is the resources available now, in the 80s the men with foresight opened up coaching classes and authored books for JEE/CAT/UPSC. When the people cam to know the huge market size of coaching industry, everyone jumped in, now its cluttered with coaching institutes, they are promoting rote learning and making teenagers solve 100s of questions and giving them a sense of hope of success.
This was inevitable from the start
His English communication ability was very very amazing, kudos 👏 to him.
I second that!
I concur. Do we in the current times speak with such eloquence?
@@bilbobagg1ns People do it even today. I don't want to compare, but there are many folks who can communicate in a very articulate and eloquent manner.
But your isn't.
@@egg-h4b matter is time. How many ppl u know were so knowledgeable and attended UPSC in 70’s?
And how many were communicating with quality. Today market is full of aspirants
In today's interviews, its very difficult to not put a greedy person on the post, no matter what you ask, the aspirant has mastered the art of lying, in this interview, intentions behind taking up the position didnt seem hidden, despite simpler questions, he still is transparent with his thought process.
There is no hidden interview within the interview, unlike today.
That's because the market is flooded with tactics and this IAS post has been glamorised with power on Social Media Platforms.
Aspirants are forgetting that is "Civil Services" Janta ke Seva naki Apki Hukumat Civil Servant Banne ke baad.
It's also bcoz interviewers like to hear repetitive answers. Most interviewers look like they are looking for a match made i heaven. A candidate born to work for you. Am not talking just about upsc, but everywhere.
work for my country
My personal growth
Opportunity
Challenges
Etc
Interviewers want to hear these keywords. So candidates learned them. How come coaching institutes are successfully teaching candidates how to lie? Coz it's working!
Just put a microphone in the waiting room and listen to the so called patriotic candidates here for learning opportunities and personal growth.
Just like the Education system, the recruitment process has become a joke in most of the places.
your last line is a killer!
I agree, but see the questions they are asking are not at all easy...they are asking about Anwar al sadat visit to Israel...ask any aspirant about this event they will rarely answer it with this precision..
This will help many UPSC aspirants... Thanks for uploading.

Glad to have come across this interview. From what I can comprehend, Mr. Jawed Usmani did get a few bouts of jitters but he managed to steer clear the overwhelming situation because he was well prepared and had possibly anticipated the few questions that were asked particularly about his career transitions. Rare in that very few even knew about that option. My dad passed out of IIM Ahmedabad in 1966 (second batch) and said there was very little competition to get in due to low public awareness about the course at the time. It was a different era altogether...
Amazing interview. Questions were very deep and He did answer most of them brilliantly. Very knowledgeable. Only interesting point I noted was his opinion of leadership. Back then it was all about human relations. Now one would say about "leading from the front" or someone who commands rather than demands respect. Thank you for posting this video.

Excellent knowledge of geopolitics osmani sir has is really impressive. What us post 2000’s born individuals mostly think is of how the people were before us and what their impressions and thought process was. It’s exactly the same. Nothing changed.

Not only that, people have been more or less the same for 1000s of years. But we have a tendency to think that we are somewhat different from someone say 3000 years ago. My parents are from India, I grew up in the west, I don't find this interview to be as hard as people make it out to be.
All comes down confidence, and attitude. I also find that people from the sub continent tend to lack confidence and can easily be caught off guard, probably has to do with schooling where one you have to memorize and the other in the west students have to understand concepts.
Confidence in professional spaces*
Who said UPSC interviews are always hard..maybe it is hard for a few which UPSC did not release.
For me, it was lil hard..asking me about cryogenic fuel, the temperature at which it works, how missiles work, India's Space program, India's Missile program and much more...apart from a few basics like Mars orbital Mission, leadership, India-China.
