Chargers are a unique car. I recently purchased a used 2018 GT Plus. True dual exhaust and AWD. Best car for the road. Still in great shape. Good maintenance record. If I was still working, I'd get a newer one. I am retired and this old one is just fine.
I just got a 2023 dodge Charger SXT blacktop. Love it.. I can care less about the v8
I managed to pick up a 2023 R/T Plus this month.
I've always liked these cars, and I figured it was my last chance to get a new one.
Very happy with it!
Good for you, I hope you love it!
I may be wrong but I think what you meant to put in the title was Dodge Charger SXT 2023 Black top because I see no hood scoop. As for paddle shifters, the latest ones (2023) don't have them but 2020 to 2022 do.
In March of this year I traded for a new Charger GT GO Mango Blacktop addition. Won’t go into all the vehicles I have owned in my 73 years on earth or my previous relationships with Chrysler corporation but I have had them. My wife 23 years younger than me owns a 2022 Genesis GV70 which she absolutely loves and she a I went to Perdido Key Florida earlier this month and I wanted to drive the Charger because I absolutely love it. The same route I have driven several times in various SUVs, a van and a 2020 Silverado RST Z71 truck. The Charger was the best ever to drive there. This is my most favorite vehicle I have ever owned. Yes I have had more that were more feature rich but the Charger has all the features I need and I don’t miss all the others. Love the way it drives, handles, instrumentation cluster and rides. Very comfortable and sporty. Oh and love the way it looks and got it for much less than the others I have had recently. Your video was partly instrumental in my purchase so thanks for the info.
The V6 is also a good match for the Pacifica.
More driving less talking
2011 was the year of the first remodel when you got the racetrack taillights on the chargers... 2015 is when they redesigned it to the current look of the tail lights and headlights
Why didn't you like your Forester XT? Lots of love for those, especially because they stopped putting the turbo in the Forester.
A few issues: when that car had like 459 miles on it the VDC Control Unit failed and it was underivable and in the shop for like a week. The brake pedal had a very minor vibration that came through it when stopped and idling. It was minor enough that a dealer service department wouldn’t do anything about it, but it annoyed me every time I drove it. But most importantly, it just never felt like my car. I guess I don’t love SUVs, but every time I walked up to that thing in a parking lot it felt like it wasn’t my car. And after not too long it wasn’t, I traded it in for a 2017 WRX STI.
As potential first time dodge owner should I buy the dodge charger R/T or GT and why? I currently drive a 2017 Toyota Camry Le
You’re coming out of a 4-cyl Camry, so I think the V6 GT would still feel fast to you, so that would make more financial sense then the V8 R/T. You’ll save money on gas, insurance, and cost of buying the car if you get the V6 GT
Get the RT maintenance insurance and gas are just about equal to a GT I've owned both and nothing beats the sound of a V8
@@jaypowell8576you didn’t mention gas and car insurance🤣
I always ask you the same type question since I know you own a Legacy Touring XT like I do. 😆 How do you like the Charger GT vs. the Legacy Touring XT?
I actually sold my Legacy to CarMax last month! But I’ll answer your question: I prefer the ride, engine, and transmission on the Dodge. The Legacy has better handling, AWD for bad weather, and purely from a features perspective is a much better value than the Dodge. The MSRP on this Charger I drove was right around $40k and for that you don’t get leather or heated seats, let alone Adaptive Cruise Control or front view cameras.
I've got a 23 gt myself and it has plenty of power in my opinion ❤
Any FCA/Stellantis product is suspect in its longevity/reliability. That being said they make some fun cars. This being one of them. I'm with ya on the lukewarm feelings for electric cars. One that impressed me however, was the Audi e-tron. Very pricey but VERY comfortable. Range is a liability too so it is not perfect.
PETITION TO BRING BACK THE CHALLENGER AND CHARGER
I would sign it!
It really angered me that they are going to stop making this masterpiece for an electric vehicle in my opinion of course, but hey life goes on, but I definitely will have me one that’s for certain👌🏼
Is it a rear wheel drive or AWD?
RWD
It doesn't have pedal shift?
No but you can use the shift lever to change gears
Mine does
I think you should go for the Charger Pursuit.
I keep an eye out on police auctions for them. I’ve actually filmed a test drive video on one I just haven’t posted it yet. It was an older model that was lowered and straight piped after it was retired though so it wasn’t the best example
why this pov look like SXT
Thanks for the video. Only chance I will have at "driving" one of these beauties. Had hoped to get a GT in the Frost bright Blue, but retirement income says no. I don't think EVs are the answer to anything. If everyone bought one we would have to build more power stations to "fuel" the charging stations. And I don't want to wait for hours to have a charge. And having one at the house. What will that do to my monthly utility bill? Nope. Guess I will keep my 23-year-old Ford Taurus. Last car I will have.
Thank you for watching Don! Chargers are still plentiful at rental car agencies for the time being, so maybe rent one for a couple days as a birthday present to yourself!
Well said, I didn’t even think of that side of it
The Charger was my dream car that I will never own. Family come first! What can one do?
I always thought that I would have time to get one and now that Dodge is moth balling the Charger. Well you know :{(
Put a supercharger on it tht 6 u will luv it 6000 racks
