Walking through: Crailsheim in GERMANY

Ein virtueller Rundgang durch Crailsheim mit mehreren Stationen u.a. dem Denkmal für die Geschwister Scholl, welche aus dieser Stadt stammten. Ausgangspunkt ist das Rathaus. Walking through the downtown of Crailsheim in the Northeast of Baden-Württemberg in South Germany. We start our walk at the town hall and come back to it.

Thank you for this lovely walk through Crailsheim. Looks like the storm clouds were brewing on this trip, impressive sky. I loved the dark church, reminded me of times when I would retreat in a monastery in upstate New York on the Hudson River. The church would always be open so one could go sit at 1 am if one wished.
The church bells playing towards the end also very sweet.
There was a brown monument with the faces of two men and I was wondering if you know who the younger man on the left was?? He looks so familiar, almost like a young Paul Newman.

It was a young man fighting against Hitler but lost his final battle with his sister. Both were killed (Scholl brothers and sisters) but were from Crailsheim. It took the town until now to erect this monument 65 years after their death. So something must be quite wrong in that town.

@@ManfredAuer Ah I just googled and learned about the White Rose group that they were involved with at school. Very interesting and sad. I learn so many new pieces of history from your videos that I wouldn't have even known about if I didn't catch glimpses of monuments or statues from your walks.
