this is why I like Simon and Martina................... they speak the truth and they review K-Pop music monday faithfully...................... and for all Teen Top fans................. don't get mad............. what they say true.................... cheating is very bad and if you don't care I really want to see you guys got cheated by your own girlfriend/boyfriend....................
I completely agree with pretty much everything in this video except that I'm 100% in love with this song, despite the meaning. However, I still think they completely failed on the M/V solely for the fact that absolutely nothing bad happened to the cheater at the end. They could have shown something negative happening to Chunji to show that cheating only leads to problems - teaching a lesson, thus giving the song a much more positive meaning. I also think it was super stupid to make one of the actual members the 'cheater' because it just doesn't make them look good at all. I don't get how the people who came up with this song believe that fans are going to like Teen Top more for appearing to be remorseless cheaters. I really don't. Bad boy appeal? No. No one wants to be cheated on. Some random dude should have played the cheater, and then it would have looked less like "Teen Top members cheat on their girlfriends and don't give a *****" and more like "Teen Top is just singing a song about some jerk who cheats on his girlfriends". The whole thing was just dumb, but it's not Teen Top's fault, they're just doing what they're told. Anyway, this video was really funny lol
+Alexia Barnes IKR. This isn't a song like Usher's Confessions where they show remorse and regret for hurting their significant other. This is a song about them being shameless cheating scumbags throughout the song and video.
the only reason i can stand to listen to the song is b/c i don't understand Korean so i can pretend i don't have any idea what they're saying, despite knowing what the lyrics are about. catchy song, terrible message
Ahem *prepares speech* yes you are in fact correct however Simon and Martina are 2 out of millions of people and they are from Canada not America. Despite that millions of people buy songs that are treating women like garbage in America does not mean that everyone does. And those that don't like the American music that does it will also not like the Korean music that does it. It's almost as if Simon and Martina are their own people with their own brains that can form their own opinions on a song and music video. But that's gotta be untrue right?
That doesn't matter to me. I'm a nice person that likes to defend people weather they know me or not. You're comment was unnecessary and didn't make sense because it was completely out of proportion to what you were trying to say. You can't hold their opinions against others even if it's millions of other people. Because everyone is entitled to their own.
ikr. Like every american rap song is about smokin weed, and sluttin around with like 500 women. Y does this song get so much hate wen that is half of american songs. i understand if u hate the message, but realize that if you live in america and listen to other songs like that u should keep ur maout quiet and listen or call out the other songs that talking about drinkin and sleepin with 500 other women ur met at the bar u got drunk at
just because a guy is cute doesn't mean he is a good boy. This song is a about a player's mindset and how sneaky he is. These kind of guys do exists in this world.
Actually, there're English words in the lyrics at the rap part. 7:36 "Glitter, perfume GO AWAY. This, between my girlfriend and me is a TROUBLE MAKER" "NO MORE frowning on your face." "So don't say anything else, NEVER."
I didn't get the end of the video. Chunji got caught cheating yet smiled ?!? I thought there would've been a part 2 of the video since it ended like that. Message aside, this is my favourite Teen Top song. that whole "Hyangsuppurijima !!!!!! "
+Rekan Gafur And makes his *character* look like even more of a dipshit. I actually think that maybe, they did this to warn some girls that a cute boy may be the worst player ever.
@Meggie Do I just have to reply you since it tickles me with your mistake. Brush up again on your korean. Noona is what boys say to OLDER girls. Besides watch the video again on 6:31. Martina clearly said that they blamed the management teams and not the Teen Top members. Please do your research before you made any criticism.
Actually I really liked the song but I will agree that the message is no no no ( and not in a good A pink way). But I think it can have a similar effect like the one you guys spotted on gain's fuck you. Just because someone is good looking and cute it does not necessarily mean he is also a good person, I am not talking specifically about Chunji but any person in general. And some of them were really young baby Changjo still had baby fat but I think some were 16 or 17 or older????
In Korea? Cuz there's a reason places like America and Canada don't let that happen. Because let me just ask how many teens do you know that are trying to get into a bar won't drink while there? They'll have a friend or someone get it for them.
I didn't know for Canada and USA (sorry ^^). But perhaps in Korea it's allowed. Because in Europe it is. I went in some bars when I was underaged and nobody reacted. (and the limit-age is lower too: 18 for most of them and 16 for Switzerland (but only for bears and cocktails, you must weit 18 for wine). So you can more easely make the difference between a teen who's 13-14 and a person who's 16-18 and they ask papers, (but barmans can't escape to the friend who buy for the underaged ones). Also, the licence is at 18 so drincking underaged will cause leat dammage than in USA where you can drive at 16. That's perhaps the reason why it's not allowed being in a bar when your under-aged in USA or Canada (but I don't know the licence age for Canda^^).
Rubys datsall it kind of depends in America? There are some bars that are like mixed with restaurants so it's okay for underaged kids to be there (if they're just getting food) but the bar in the video looked more like a club kind of bar to me, and underaged kids won't be getting in there :)
I love you guys for your honesty and for outing this video for what it really is. I have to say that even before I knew what the lyrics of the song were saying or before I reached half-way through the video first time I watched I was already feeling uncomfortable. I have no idea what Teen Top's management were thinking with this one but hopefully we'll get back the real and nice cute little boys of Teen Top soon! ^^
Remember in the early 2000's when Shaggy released "It Wasn't Me" and no one cared tho it was definitely about cheating? Kpop fans need to calm down, it was catchy music, you're stupid if you'll cheat because of a song.
I would gratefully disagree with this. I thought that"it wasn't me" was 100% disgusting and many people that I know feel the same way and to be honest the only people I knew that liked the song also had a long history of cheating. I don't think it was the song that made them cheat but no the less seemed to attract the wrong type of people. It's frustrating when songs like are considered acceptable because it's a fun tune and they are really cute. you can like Teen Top without having to like every song and this should be a song that no one should like! I think what really bothers me is it fits with this social acceptances of it's ok if my boyfriend cheats on me cause he's just a guy. This thought processes needs to change and this song and video ... not hepling
Elizabeth Dill I think I should be allowed to like a song if I like. I didn't even say I'm a fan of teen top or that I liked all of their songs. In fact I really disliked Supa Luv and Miss Right. People are allowed to dislike this song. But I really don't find it something to FREAK OUT over. Also, I never said I'd be okay with my boyfriend cheating. If I ever found out my boyfriend cheated I'd leave his ass right away. Boys shouldn't be allowed to do whatever because they're boys. But this is seriously just a song like I don't think it's something for people to hate teen top over.
This shall always be my favourite review by eyk. As soon as I saw the music video, I couldn't (and still can't) believe that Teen Top's management would even THINK about making something like this. What was more shocking was the amount of people who loved it, despite the disgusting message. I reeeaalllyyy hope there was a mangement change after this video. Thank you Simon & Martina for staying true to their beliefs and not endorsing being a scumbag. There are too many of them in this world
Don't get me wrong I'm not sure but at first, when I saw the video, I thought Chunji broke out of Disney cliches didn't look evil, showing that not everyone bad has to look bad. :)
AHAHAHA you are sooo right guys ! this is my favorite kpop review ! And Martina... I LOVE THE COLOR OF YOUR HAIR IN THIS VIDEO *_* it's like peach orange with very light cotton candy pink
Thank you for speaking out my mind!!!!! It's not that I dislike Teen Top or what. In fact, this song actually caught my attention because of the tune and the flow of the whole song but still, I am very disappointed in the lyrics. Anyways, great job pointing out about the under aged boys in a club issue. Hope to see more videos from you guys!!Fighting!
This is one of my favourite video because i felt the same way! At first I saw the live version I thought it was a nice song , then I watch the lyrics .. *jaw drop+•*
This is so awesome !! Though I really love the song (i don't really listen to lyrics), I think you guys made some really nice points ^^ SHINee's Hello Hello is probably an ideal choice here ^^
''Ohhh, you caught me! Look at me being all cute with my open mouth smile! I'm so remorseless!'' HAHAHAHAHA! That ''remorseless'' part crack me up every time.
Looool "this may be awkward timing but, subscribe for more videos! *thumbs up*" i agree with you on the whole concept of it, it was pretty suprising to me. Im not really a teentop fan and this was the first song ive heard from them, but i liked it :p i didnt agree with the concept, but the song and dance was definitely very fun
the eatyourkimchi interview by tsrworld was what brought me here. Just out of curiosity. As a shawol, I really wasn't expecting that showdown at the end. It made me laugh reeeeally hard. It's over a year too late, but my vote is for SHINee!!!!
HAHA! I don't really see the problem. Being badass can be a song is also fun, as long as you are not kicking pregnant lady. But I do like Simon and Martina honest on their feelings, this make them different and their video super!
@x3RandomPanda LOL that's what I thought, too! I thought it was about how girls shouldn't wear makeup or perfume because they're "beautiful the way they are" as cheesy as that sounds, so I was like, "aw! how cute!" ...but when I understood the real meaning...omg. o_O
I've seen the lyrics before but I never looked at it this way O.o woah............. I agree now, the song is so catchy ! But now I know like the meaning and stuff I'm like wtf O.O Oh and I like your outran high school host club wallpaper xD
I read somewhere that a person actually really likes the lyrics, because it's like being in love with 2 people, a passion so deep you don't want to leave the other 2 girls, in a love triangle. So I think that gives it a deeper meaning to it.
lmfao the "sexy hey" is totally my favorite part too! also, i agree with everything you guys said about this. the message is more than a little bit disturbing and just so misguided.
Also! It's the same brick room as in 0330!! Same rooftop too apparently. Hooray for recycled sets (it is a nice-looking brick room)! And Chunji totally looks like Kevin at certain angles, it confuses me. D: Hay guise, Chunji is just talking to Dongho on the phone, not a noona girlfriend, derrr. We're just being trolled.
oh my gawd. I never even knew what this song was about until this video >:O horrible horrible tsk tsk tsk. I totally agree with you!! the English translation had me revolted D:
from watching their live performances of this song, i always thought the message of this song was "noona, you're so pretty. you don't need anything, not even perfume!"... boy was i wrong XD
LOOOL simon and martina, you nailed it! i absolutely thought the same thing, after i saw the video and looked for the translation i was like wtf....dont misunderstand me because I TOTALLY, ABSOLUTELY LOVE TEEN TOP, they are one of my favorite bands ever!!! But hey, the song is like wtf? the message is so wrong xD now yes, it is very catchy and my boys look as hot as ever!!!
At first I thought it was a really catchy song and I loved it. But then I read the subs and the comments.....I can never listen to this song in the same way again. Also, happy one year anniversary for this video~ ^^
So true... I actually still like the song (or the... music, and the dance, well, everything except the lyrics, to be honest) but I think you did the right thing criticising it so much. Because, yeah, their message did suck, and when I saw the video and the translation I was like "What the FROG?", as well. ^^ Apart from that: Mr. Brohoho and the Sexyhae part were excellently hilarious! :D And my friends and I have been retelling the "Banned" joke for days now. Dreamy, indeed, my lords!
Lol! This is one of the first kpop songs I got into! I really loved it and found it so so so catchy. I then lol'd my socks off when I watched the subbed version and realised what it was about. I then showed it to all of my non-kpop friends, who found it HIlarious XD
MY interpretation of the song+mv is that they're talking about cheating blah blah blah, but then at the end when Chunji gets caught by the girlfriend and he smiles, it's breaking the fourth wall and he's sorta saying "See? Cheaters always get caught" :3 (Also wanted to say, this video introduced me to Teen Top, which is now my favourite kpop group sooo thanks! keke)
martina'e feeling is exactly the same when the first time i saw the MV~~ it just like that " hey how could he treat his cute younger girlfriend like that??" hey, I'm also an andromeda n my super bias, LJoe~~ n martina, thanks for pointing about LJoe hair~~ ^^
I feel like the song/mv would be better if it were "noona, dont spray perfume cuz....my mom would find out that Im dating" That would be a funny video LOL
I never heard them say Teen top are cheating in real life. No one has said anything about that. -.-' They are talking about the Song! And I never even said I was a 'true teen top fan'. I just said I love the song but not the meaning behind it. I hate people who are cheating and those who thinks it's okay to cheat. You just gotta understand it has NOTHING to to with TEEN TOP..! It's about the Song, the Meaning of the song and not about teen top cause im sure they don't cheat.
Sooo, I did the "Sexy Hayy," thing at lunch last week in Highschool to get my ID card. I got some REALLY weird looks.... But one girl behind me did the same. It has slowly become a common thing to do for my lunch period to do this O.o
I agree 100% and more if it were possible. Let people sweep controversial issues under the rugs and stay in their la la land. But you guys are SO dead on. I absolutely love Simon and Martina.
what i realised abt most k pop videos is that they only market the looks, the dance and the music so management companies dont really care abt weather the music video makes sense or has a good message since fans dont really care about it
Omg, it's just a song people. It doesn't mean any of these guys would cheat. I love it because it's something that most guys do, which makes it honest and I respect that. Not saying cheating is good or anything but come on, they earn major cool points for this song. At least in my book.
Seriously if the video would have at least had some sort of "both dump him"/"he feels remorseful and dumps both of them"/"he is honest to his younger girlfriend and faces the consequences" ending it would have been ay ok.
I agree with everything Simon and Martina said. The whole theme of the song creeped me out especially when "noona" was an actress who is about 20 years older than chunji. Seriously, they really pushed it with that one.
When I first heard the song i was like "omg this is such a cool song" then when i wached the first few seconds of the english subbed music video "oh, they really love their noona, thats cute" and then after that "WTF are you doing STOP ruining this song" but I still like the song :) For the firs time in my life I'm glad I don't understand korean!
THANK YOU! i thought i was hallucinating when i saw not one, but two different subs of this video. i couldn't believe those were the lyrics and then the "hey babe what's up" face at the end, WTF?!?!? vote: shinee x 5
this is why I like Simon and Martina...................
they speak the truth and they review K-Pop music monday faithfully......................
and for all Teen Top fans.................
don't get mad.............
what they say true....................
cheating is very bad and if you don't care I really want to see you guys got cheated by your own girlfriend/boyfriend....................
100% agreed - doesn't matter how catchy this song is, cheating is NOT okay.
I completely agree with pretty much everything in this video except that I'm 100% in love with this song, despite the meaning. However, I still think they completely failed on the M/V solely for the fact that absolutely nothing bad happened to the cheater at the end. The whole thing was just dumb, but it's not Teen Top's fault, they're just doing what they're told. Anyway, this video was really funny lol
Why are people defending this song? I understand that you love Teen Top, but it's pretty obvious that the song is portraying a terrible meaning.
All I could see was on her computer was a pic of Ouran Host Club.......
"music treating women like garbage" isn't that all American HipHop? yet people buy millions of copies of their albums.
Why do you feel you have to defend them? you're not their Attorney. They don't even know who you are.
That doesn't matter to me. I'm a nice person that likes to defend people weather they know me or not. You're comment was unnecessary and didn't make sense because it was completely out of proportion to what you were trying to say. You can't hold their opinions against others even if it's millions of other people. Because everyone is entitled to their own.
so then why arent you letting me express my opinion? sounds very hypocritical of you that you would shoot down my opinion...
ikr. Like every american rap song is about smokin weed, and sluttin around with like 500 women. Y does this song get so much hate wen that is half of american songs. i understand if u hate the message, but realize that if you live in america and listen to other songs like that u should keep ur maout quiet and listen or call out the other songs that talking about drinkin and sleepin with 500 other women ur met at the bar u got drunk at
i watched this review first before i watched the music video and now whenever i try to watch the MV, i have the giant urge to punch a wall
just because a guy is cute doesn't mean he is a good boy. This song is a about a player's mindset and how sneaky he is. These kind of guys do exists in this world.
I kinda agree with them. I love teen top but i really dont like the meaning of this. Its just very jerky
This is probably still my favourite review.
Actually, there're English words in the lyrics at the rap part. 7:36
"Glitter, perfume GO AWAY. This, between my girlfriend and me is a TROUBLE MAKER"
"NO MORE frowning on your face."
"So don't say anything else, NEVER."
I didn't get the end of the video. Chunji got caught cheating yet smiled ?!? I thought there would've been a part 2 of the video since it ended like that.
Message aside, this is my favourite Teen Top song.
that whole "Hyangsuppurijima !!!!!! "
Elizabeth Garner He smiled cuz he is a bad boy. A player. The smile at the end makes the bad boy image much more stronger.
+Rekan Gafur And makes his *character* look like even more of a dipshit. I actually think that maybe, they did this to warn some girls that a cute boy may be the worst player ever.
@Meggie Do
I just have to reply you since it tickles me with your mistake. Brush up again on your korean. Noona is what boys say to OLDER girls. Besides watch the video again on 6:31. Martina clearly said that they blamed the management teams and not the Teen Top members. Please do your research before you made any criticism.
lololololol I'm a teen top fan, but I agreed with every single thing in here xD
I feel like Simon wanted to say, "When I'm with noona, it feels like I became a DOTHRAKI MAN WARRIOR!"
Actually I really liked the song but I will agree that the message is no no no ( and not in a good A pink way). But I think it can have a similar effect like the one you guys spotted on gain's fuck you. Love Teen Top songs, and the members seem funny and nice, but I agree. This song is atrocious.
WTF an underaged teen can go to a bar as long as they don't drink alcool
In Korea? Cuz there's a reason places like America and Canada don't let that happen. Because let me just ask how many teens do you know that are trying to get into a bar won't drink while there? They'll have a friend or someone get it for them.

Amazing review. I'm glad that you guys always stay true to your opinions and feelings and don't sugar coat things that shouldn't be! Love it!
These reviews suck
Did any body else take forever to realise that Simon shirt has Leonard conan
I always seem to realise things I didn't before when I watch your videos. I absolutly love your videos, they are hilarious!
Don't get me wrong I'm not sure but at first, when I saw the video, I thought Chunji broke out of Disney cliches didn't look evil, showing that not everyone bad has to look bad. :)
I've always been upset, when Simon did the dramatic reading, he left out my favorite lyrics: Noona you're/is my noona XD
omg Martina you look so gorgeous!! I love your outfit, hair, and makeup!
"I feel as if I have the whole world in my hands. But noona- don't spray perfume." LOL. XD
I like how Spudgy looks away, but every time Martina yells "BANNED!," he looks at her right away like "WTF?" lolz
Just realized 4 years later the background on their laptop is OHSHC which is the best :)
i miss kpop music mondays .. good times, good times
"Is actually U-kiss calling and they want their room back "~ haha
Bless this video and the entire message you've conveyed in it.
This is one of my favourite video because i felt the same way! At first I saw the live version I thought it was a nice song , then I watch the lyrics .. *jaw drop+•*
This is so awesome !!
Though I really love the song (i don't really listen to lyrics), I think you guys made some really nice points ^^
SHINee's Hello Hello is probably an ideal choice here ^^
''Ohhh, you caught me! Look at me being all cute with my open mouth smile! I'm so remorseless!'' HAHAHAHAHA! That ''remorseless'' part crack me up every time.
THANK YOU For bringing some sense!!! Omg the meaning
just imagining Dongho saying down the phone "gtfo of our room!" xD
Some guys are scumbagy enough to smile if their caught I guess.
BWAHAHAHA i love how they threw the fact about Chunji making puzzles in there. XDDD
SIMON YOU MADE ME FEEL UNCOMFORABLE AT THE END. WITH THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION! O:
I love your Ouran High School Host Club background XD
the eatyourkimchi interview by tsrworld was what brought me here. Just out of curiosity. As a shawol, I really wasn't expecting that showdown at the end. It made me laugh reeeeally hard. It's over a year too late, but my vote is for SHINee!!!!
I was so angry when Chunji winked at the camera he just got caught cheating AND HE SMILES WHAT IS THIS
wow...thank goodness I don't understand much korean then, thanks for the translations and laugh Simon and Martina = D love the "BANNED" scene ahahaha
HAHA! I don't really see the problem. Being badass can be a song is also fun, as long as you are not kicking pregnant lady. But I do like Simon and Martina honest on their feelings, this make them different and their video super!
3:45 The thing with the phone cracked me up xD
@x3RandomPanda
LOL that's what I thought, too! I thought it was about how girls shouldn't wear makeup or perfume because they're "beautiful the way they are" as cheesy as that sounds, so I was like, "aw! how cute!" ...but when I understood the real meaning...omg. o_O

is that ouran high school host club on the background?! *talking about the laptop* OMG!! LOVE IT!!! HAHAH
i laughed so hard at 5:30 when simon acted like chunji :D
i know the message is bad but the song is catchy and it doesn't mean this is how the teen top members live their lives. they didn't write it
you got to be KIDDING me
the youngest member was 15 during the filming of No More Perfume On You
there is english in the song...during the rap verse...the words "go away, troublemaker, no more" were used.
This is one of those types of songs when I just don't think about the lyrics and I sing along to it :3 !!
I read somewhere that a person actually really likes the lyrics, because it's like being in love with 2 people, a passion so deep you don't want to leave the other 2 girls, in a love triangle. So I think that gives it a deeper meaning to it.
lmfao the "sexy hey" is totally my favorite part too! also, i agree with everything you guys said about this. the message is more than a little bit disturbing and just so misguided.
omg i love youuu this describes every thought i had watching this video
FINALLYY
Also! It's the same brick room as in 0330!! Same rooftop too apparently. Hooray for recycled sets (it is a nice-looking brick room)! And Chunji totally looks like Kevin at certain angles, it confuses me. D:
Hay guise, Chunji is just talking to Dongho on the phone, not a noona girlfriend, derrr. We're just being trolled.
oh my gawd. I never even knew what this song was about until this video >:O horrible horrible tsk tsk tsk. I totally agree with you!! the English translation had me revolted D:
Thank you Martina and Simon I legit thought I was the only one that saw how disturbing this MV was
from watching their live performances of this song, i always thought the message of this song was "noona, you're so pretty. you don't need anything, not even perfume!"... boy was i wrong XD
I love their song, but all you said was totally what i thought when i saw their MV/translation of the song haha !
FABULOUS review guys :)
chunji's so cute>.
At first I thought it was a really catchy song and I loved it. But then I read the subs and the comments.....I can never listen to this song in the same way again.
Also, happy one year anniversary for this video~ ^^
...it's like you found the point, shook hands with it, and then just walked away.
:O at the end of the video when they were saying sorry to the teen top fans my name was there and this was before I even started listing to kpop
I think what the song/video is trying to tell is no to cheat on your girlfriend because you will eventually get caught.
So true... I actually still like the song (or the... music, and the dance, well, everything except the lyrics, to be honest) but I think you did the right thing criticising it so much. Because, yeah, their message did suck, and when I saw the video and the translation I was like "What the FROG?", as well. ^^
Apart from that: Mr.
Cheaters always get caught"
:3 (Also wanted to say, this video introduced me to Teen Top, which is now my favourite kpop group sooo thanks! keke)
search ""Teen Top - No More Perfume MISHEARD LYRICS"
I had NOOOOO idea they said things like that...Cannot unhear:(
martina'e feeling is exactly the same when the first time i saw the MV~~
it just like that " hey how could he treat his cute younger girlfriend like that??"
hey, I'm also an andromeda n my super bias, LJoe~~
n martina, thanks for pointing about LJoe hair~~ ^^
I feel like the song/mv would be better if it were "noona, dont spray perfume cuz....my mom would find out that Im dating"
That would be a funny video LOL
Cheaters never prosper! I'm so glad you two told it like it is.
what i realised abt most k pop videos is that they only market the looks, the dance and the music so management companies dont really care abt weather the music video makes sense or has a good message since fans dont really care about it
Wow. I really appreciate your total honesty and refusal to put up with a terrible message just because a popular group performs it. ^_^
finally someone say the truth about don't wear more perfume, I just hate it, thank God
i knew the lyrics to this song.. but i am now a teen top fan due to this song!!!! why why why!!!
Chunji's smiles really creeped me out too.
When they talk about ruining the way they take things out of pockets, I so want to back in time and tell them: Brace yourselves, EXO's History.
i think that might have been about the "who's the better boyfriend?" not just a random onew explosion
