Thanks for posting! fellow Brit here living in Switzerland. Appreciate you posting the vid, always wanted to try this hike out. Something worth visiting if you ever go there again… there’s a stunning small lake in the stoos mountain village. Crystal clear water, really gorgeous. In this heat, on your way down, it’s perfect for a swim afterwards.
I don't usually comment (I will be from now on for the sake of the algorithm) I would love to see your channel grow in content and subs. All the way up Tom.
I quite enjoy the “silent dialogue”. It really lets you appreciate the destination, rather than have a guide try to up-sell you on the travel with all the chatter.
I like your occasional "silent" vlogs. It lets me just relax, soak in the beauty of the surroundings and let's me think "It's going to be okay." BRAVO Tom!!
Reminds me of the Munich Day trip to Walchensee…you take the Herzogstandbahn up the mountains and then hike up for about an hour to the peak to get 360 degree views of the Bavarian Alps and the two lakes side by side…Walchensee and Kochelsee
My heart! I've been in love with your films ever since I saw the USA one, but this!! The beauty and how you capture it!! I'm so sad now I'm at the other side of the world.
I love the quality of your video, thank you for your effort (silent dialogue is just the best😊🙏) I would like to ask you about the weather, was it just hot or there was some wind in the air?
Oh my, now I magine how many times he had to go back to grab the camera and thus hiking that part 3 times. Unbelievable. And I love the parts with no talking, it makes you appreciate more the place you're in. Been in Switzerland myself several times and I feel the same, can't express the feelings, just standing still and watching the view.
I personally really liked this 'no dialogue' format. Very calm and doesn't distract from the gorgeous views (very well shot and edited!). Yes, those time estimates on the signposts are for Swiss people (who start to hike at the same time they start to walk), we shouldn't rely on them (though I need to say I managed on a couple of hikes to keep to those estimates). In terms of hardest 5 miles of your life, well, this trail seems pretty tame. If you want a taste of how an actual challenging Swiss hike looks like, try Griesalp-Kandersteg section of the Via Alpina :)
Okay brother, I’m making a commitment to travel here and listen to The Beach Boys while enjoying this beautiful place. What do you suggest Sunflower, Surfs Up, MIU? Thanks for sharing.
Oh man, love the shots and the music! I was there a couple of months ago and made a video as well. Yes, it is a short hike but a hard one. My plan was to walk down the mountain but I was so tired at the end that I cancelled it. Your pronunciation is correct. The reason why most people goes from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock is because at the end you can stay at the restaurant, rest and enjoy the view of the lake of the 4 cantons. Subscribed!
This was one of my favorite videos of yours. I wanted to go to a walking trail in New York just outside of Lake Placid that is the Great Wall of the West and The Ausable Chasam, but with Covid we had to cancel our trip. This so reminded me of the videos I had seen of people doing that hike, that I had to stay and watch yours, now want to do this one myself. I will comment if it brings up views in TH-cam algorithms, your hikes are becoming epic
Loved the video, I will add this to my "one day" travel list! By the time we can travel again I figure my broken ankle will be well and truly mended, although I'd better plan some walking practice. I remember seeing the Stoosbahn funicular on one of Tim Dunn's railway tv shows.
Awesome video again Tom! I’ve just uploaded my first flight since lockdown video going to Spain! I can’t wait to travel again from one country to another! Very happy watching this tho it’s soo good! Beautiful piece
Thank you tom for adding the CC tab to your videos. make watching them much more enjoyable for my partner. hope it did not cause you too may headaches to add it. Dean
@@thornton thank you for taking the time and listening to your viewers. it make a your videos become better and better. really enjoyed the way you started the video with just calm music and footage of your trip. then after do all the explaining. plus all the behind the sense/ truth of how you really got the shot. plus the seek peak, secret of the next video. keeps everyone coming back for more. How is Molly we do not see her much in your videos . Hope her studies are going well.
@@thornton I used to live in Florida where they are grown. Even fresher :-) And Amtrak goes there. LOL. I'm sure your girlfriend would freak out if you told her I want to go to Florida to buy a bag of oranges from a farm stand lol. I am ecited for the Italy video. :-) I have never left the US. Im living vicariously. Why Italy?
I am visiting Lucerne around May7-9 2023, i really like to experience a Ridge hike, but i checked the stoos page and it say only Stools-Fronalpstock is operating, but stoos-klingenstock is not operating until June10. Can i still do the same hike to the ridge there, like may be half way to it and return from where i come? Will it still worth?

Hello! What's the name of the lake?
Love your videos… therapeutic as always 👍

P.S. It's also nice to see you just enjoying yourself without feeling like you have to always talk to us. Just enjoying the beauty silently together.

Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Well filmed. A new place to go on my bucket list :)
In this year and a half of no traveling, your videos are honestly almost the next best thing. Grateful to have discovered them.
Thanks Jill, that means a lot.
Nice video Tom..Music selection is great.. many thanks

Just commenting to help the algorithm :) excited to watch the video!
Stunning scenery, and top dialogue at the end too!! 😂
Wow... wow.... Wooooow... hahaha so funny! Looking forward to Switzerland #3
🇨🇭 beautiful 💚🙏
Really like your videos… especially as you explain how you get to these locations without a car!!! Really detailed and helpful for us non drivers 😎
Yeah valid point, driver here, but kids do not and travel solo themselves
Those views are incredible!
Thanks for all your helpful informations, that really helps me planning my trip ! The view is stunning !
The best medicine ever ... people need to be more conected to the nature.I think this is the answer,at least for me.
Amazing video !
Breathtaking scenery, there. Very well filmed too, with excellent framing.
Man this makes me miss Switzerland! I was there back in 2018 and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great film dude!
Oh, wow, this was beautiful. Thank you for the break-down of how to do this. It's definitely on my list now!
Absolutely beautiful views! Love the cow bells!😁
Love it, I do that at least twice a year
I love the quality of your video, thank you for your effort (silent dialogue is just the best😊🙏)

Love your videos! Yes, all my commentary on all your videos would just be......"wow!". LOL
I can see why it's popular - ride up, ride down, and ridge in between! I bet that water was worth every penny, huh? ;-)
It was something like 3 francs... and I’d do it again 🥵
Again: so so cool to see my home country through the eyes of someone else! I love it :)
You really made this video just like Kraig A. does and I like it :)
Waiting with Bated orange breath for your Italy video.
Very nicely edited, and love the humor at the end. You have a nice channel!
Excellent as always Tom!
HEy Tom awesome video :) hope to see you more often here in switzerland i like your style of filming! :)
You have a lovely country :) I will happily bankrupt myself on SBB tickets and pretzels
I really enjoyed your video. ⭐️👌🏼
Thanks for Sharing! 💕
Greetings from Albania. 🇦🇱
Hopefully, after our Philippine trip...I would like to hike here this summer ☀️ 🐄🐕🐑🐐🦎🌼🍀☘️🌳🪺
I did this hike last week. Was amazing. Not cheap to get there but definitely worth it

Very nice. Enjoyed the scenic views from the ridgeline all along this hike. Likely a good idea to get in the habit of bringing more water along haha.
It’s the « Reveries of the Solitary Walker » vibes for me. Loved it! My sweaty self even made the cut at 03:57 😅
Freaking awesome trip. yes, I am hyped for the third in this series. I was the 100th 'like' !!!
Okay brother,
I’m making a commitment to travel here and listen to The Beach Boys while enjoying this beautiful place. What do you suggest Sunflower, Surfs Up, MIU? Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks Tom. Clearly you've got your fitness sorted! What a spectacular day out. How can Switzerland 3 top those views?
Haha it was a struggle, but worth it. What if I said Switzerland 3 has some spectacular views of it’s own... AND a dog? Not bad eh 😅😅👏

Well I need to go to Switzerland now
6:36 Yup, I never bring less than 3l of water on a long (-ish) hike ;)

you and switzerland: cute :)
Your giant smile on top of that hill was awesome :-) Was your orange as good as the coney island one? .
My friend, no orange in the world can top that one. Early morning, 0 degrees celcius, sitting on a bench in Coney Island... it was so tasty

Which month is this please? Are they open during 2nd week of May? Thank you!
This can be done in a day trip?
How to get to stoos from Interlaken.
It will be great help
Thanks
Do you all like The Tim Traveler too?
Where is Molly?
Yeah wonder if she went back to see family or if they are living apart now....
Yes please if it’s not too personal, are you two still together?
Tom, Do you have a job, income?
On a prior video, he said his day job is software engineer.
Nice video but the Stoos ridge hike is only 4.8 km not 5 miles.
Where is Molly?
probably dumped him and since he is a leftist he thinks trying to ignore it will make it go away
