KT vs RNG has the better story line. For Uzi, it’s this third crack at a title, third different Korean team to try and stop him from getting the world championship. Uzi is hungry. He is angry. He has been beaten. He wants the title. For KT, the story is score. Old man score. He’s played competitive since the OGN invitational, he’s been on KT since KT first entered league of legends in winter 2012-2013. With score FINALLY winning a domestic title, and for how long score has played, and with mandatory military service in Korea right behind him, will this worlds be score’s swan song? Uzi’s push for a title vs scorers possible swan song
There's a story about Mata and Uzi too, both were former teammates. Mata had experience playing with, and against Uzi. He lost in 2014 when Mata was way too good and the Worlds MVP at the time, after that they were paired with each other and now if they manage to go against each other again, isn't that gold?
Slide 8: Liquid got the Luckier draw Fanatic startet with a NR1 seed, the chances to get a easier group are much higher than the chance of Liquid, and Liquid can be very happy about their draw
I think they said brasil because kabuum helped C9 by the past : "this is for kabuum !" But Turkey id clearly best right now. Just take a look at all the MSI with supermassive, and last year at worlds (sorry I dont remember the name, too difficult to write) there is a clear difference.
RNG winning is legit the most exciting thing tbh RNG has won LPL Spring, MSI, LPL Summer, went 2-0 and helped win for China is Rift Rivals, and made up most of the team that won for China in the 2018 Asia Gamess. If they won Worlds, they would complete a full League Slam being undefeated in every major LOL tourney they entered.
I like the question was so pessimistic about NA's changes at getting to semi's but I'm thinking NA is gonna do so badly, that not even c9 might not make it to groups and 100T and TL not make it to quarters.
Everyone who says Deft beat Uzi in the LPL have clearly never watched LPL. Deft didn't beat Uzi, EDG beat RNG. Go and actually watch some of those games, EDG's main strategy was to dismantle botlane, ClearLul hard camped bot almost every game and it tilted Uzi so hard. Deft isn't an aggressive laner, he can't even beat Imp during his SSB days. Just because your team is able to dismantle the opponent botlane doesn't mean you're better, it means your team is better.
Seems like u never watched lpl, deft and uzi never the players for 2vs2 kills more for big plays and if u judge by pure mechanics it’s close but deft has the upper hand , uzi knows when and how to dive the enemy back line that’s why kaisa is such a godlike pick for him while deft was always the guy to play things like Sivir, but pure dodging and kiting , deft has a serious lead on uzi
Deft IS an aggressive laner. Deft wasn't an aggressive laner. Also, in the SSB SSW days nobody could beat imp, so idk what your saying cant EVEN beat imp, when he was clearly the best adc in the world at the time.
Also, what people don't realize is that Uzi and Deft barely played each other in LPL. Deft came in 2015, but Uzi was on OMG, a team with a roster that didn't work out. They never played a series against each other that year. In 2016, Uzi was hopping on teams like Qiao Gu in spring, and by summer he was on RNG. He played against EDG in the finals. That was the series that Clearlove dominated and gave Clearlove that infamous 4th ranking player at worlds. It was a sweep and not much happened in the bot lane matchup. So Uzi and Deft only played one series against each other in the LPL. Deft left the LPL after that. We never got to see any hype matchups between them.
I think its because gambit and LMS team have similar chances so they don't want to interfere and tell something wrong. However SUP and KABUUM are underdogs of their groups. Also there was a rivallary between TR-BRA but it came to an end. TR is far better than CBLOL nowadays. As a Turkish I will really enjoy group D matches because they will be the closest and most fun ones.
Yiğitcan Karadeniz Performing better doesnt mean the rivalry is lost. Look at NA vs EU. EU was always much better than NA. Not only in EU teams smashing NA teams every-single-year, but also in regional talent. If you look at this years worlds, there is 10 players coming from NA(4 in C9, 3 in TL, 3 in 100) and 17 players coming from EU(6 in FNC, 5 in VIT, 4 in G2, 2 in C9). But then you see silly NA fanboys typing how they gonna destroy EU this year. So yah, wait till you get smashed again morons.
Everybody's saying FNC had more luck than TL. I guess we're ignoring the fact that TL put themselves in their position by being worse than FNC at MSI. Also, while KT is one of the two scariest first seeds, IG is one of the scariest second seeds, and both teams are expected to finish 1st in their group (And 100T should be stronger than MAD), so honestly, there is almost no luck involved when it comes to the rather small difference in opponent strength, FNC earned that small advantage fair and square.
You are forgetting that TL is most likely to get EDG which is WAY WAY WAY stronger than 100T could ever hope to be while FNC will get the LMS 3rd seed. Furthermore, KT is probably better than IG as well. This solidifies FNC as the second seed heading to quarterfinals while TL gets fucked by the Korean 1st seed and Chinese 3rd seed. While i agree that FNC earned their spot through MSI performance (thank you Olleh), pretty sure luck is also involved.
They meant "Underdogs to win it all", and to be underdogs, you must be able to contest vs the very best teams, which is not the case for the teams you cited.
