If the Toronto Star doesn't know about the massive protests by farmers in a growing number of European countries, how would it know how these wildfires start?
Is that a hypothetical question or are we supposed to forget last years climate activists?

How Canadian Wildfires Start? 99% by idiots, the rest by the lightning strike etc!
Actually it's the constant buildup of layers of decaying organic vegetation that litters the floors of forests, that only build up and get dryer each year that we don't get a full winter in, which in turn means less moisture in the fuels and more fuels being added to that layer by the fact that trees shed their smaller parts inevitably, and then once this layer of dry decaying vegetation lights up, it's spreads and becomes impossible to contain.

They deleted my first comment about us in Canada being intelligent and caring for our environment by clear cutting breaks in our forest in order to mitigate wildfires. Of course Toronto star deleted that comment and only left “rains a lot in the rain forest” comment. My initial one was calling Toronto star either very dumb, or just promoting propaganda without critically thinking on when Canadian wild fires got bad, it’s because we stopped clear cutting 2 km wide breaks in the forest. Legitimately the Trudeau government has either knowingly decided to let Canada burn as well as animals in them or they are so inept they don’t understand how to create breaks in Canadian forests.

Weird that most of these fires were next to major cities which led to a cloud of smoke that puts first hand fear into citizens, so perfectly placed huh.. btw last year was one of the coldest summers in Canadian history

We have the technology to put these out within 6 hours of starting. We know exactly where these fires are from the Modis and Viirs Satellites, the reading give us the exact GPS coordinates, you can give that coordinate to a Chopper pilot who can douse that before it becomes a big fire.

Step two) repeat step one at least ten times to make sure the fires catch

Are you expecting the whole planet to have the exact same weather & weather events every day? Why is it so hard to understand that it can be unusually hot and dry in Alberta and unusually cool and rainy in the amazon on the same day?
You forgot to mention that forests are grown on this massive rock spinning at 1,038 mph hurtling through space at 66,660 mph around the sun, and that "climate change" demonstrated by changes in the average earth's temperature (however one can actually measure that) is fluctuating at an average increase of 0.11 degrees F per decade instead of being constant over an infinite time period.

With fuels, like twigs or layers of dry fuels and kindling that never goes away until its inevitably lit on fire.
I forget the term when I was firefighting, but looking it up, closest thing that it can be called is the Duff layer (composed of decayint organic vegetation materials) is the layer that constantly getting lit on fire and keeps fires burning for kilometers with the layer of dry fuel that only gets dryer and dryer each year.

If someone started a fire on purpose, we all initially blame climate change. And then when the person who started those fires is caught, it's a long forgotten story.
They start because the water tables are low this year.. no winter no spring water table .. two years ago we were flooded due to record levels in water tables.. preceded by massive snow fall through the previous two winters - it ebbs and flows.. El Niño.
