Just finished my surgery rotation too! Can’t emphasize how Amboss saved me during my ORs. Helped me quickly refresh stuff in the dressing area lol. Literally a lifesaver. All the best Zach!!
Thank God for doctors, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, medical assistants and anyone else who is in the medical field. You all are special people. All the responsibility you have is so great. I don't think I would ever have that in me but I'm glad there are people who do. Thank you.
I can see how much you love your job by simply seeing how you enthusiastically talk about the surgeries. Lots of respect. We need more doctors like you :)
I have this (almost unhealthy) habit of watching Zach's vlogs whenever I'm slacking off or procrastinating to remind myself what I'm studying for! Really, really, really appreciate the amazing videos, you're literally saving my whole high-school and college career with every video!
Seeing you through this whole process in the career it's extremely motivating for me. I'm from Argentina and pretty soon I have the last admission test to enter university and your videos about anki, study technices and life-style are extremely helpful to me, you made me see studying as a fun process. Love your videos man, keep it up :).
Zach! I've been following you since I started med school (here in Guyana) .and right now I'm exactly where you are in this video: About to finish up third year and currently in surgery. Needed this video...and I am glad I got AMBOSS.
Wow! I am native Philadelphian your aerial video of art museum from behind it to the front showed me a perspective I have never scene. I lived across the street from Franklin Institute. Haven't been to the area in 2 decade's. You showed me my old home. Gratitude! Your videos are unique you would be an excellent online medical professor. Your delivery method sound of your voice Your knowledge. You have it all. Congratulations!
Bro, are you kidding me, you're about to experience your first surgery. I've been following your study videos for while, and this is so wild how are far you have come to now in a real live surgery. Omg, all the hard work. I'm an accounting major but thanks to your tips I've been able to get an internship this summer, I'll be working in a real live accounting firm so I get it bro. Its awesome and exciting lol.
Hey Zach, high quality video as usual bro. I commented a couple months back about how your dealing with stress videos helped me during my MCAT prep. I just got into med school, your videos always been coming in clutch. Keep it up my G 🔥👍🏾
Great video! I finished my general surgery rotation a couple of weeks ago! It was a pretty intense rotation. Great job on making a good vlog! I'm always looking to improve my vlogging videos!
I actually watch all the surgeries that I have done on me on TH-cam because I want to know exactly each step that’s going to be done on me. My husband doesn’t know how I can watch it but I find it fascinating. The best one was the double jaw surgery.
Great videos as always!! May you please make one video on your stats that got you into medical school, and also provide tips on acing the interview? Thank you, Zach!
hey Zach im a pre-med and it's awesome to see you enjoying everything even though its stressful, had a quick question I've heard your background music from a live stream called Tokyo tones just curious did you get that song from there?
Omg I would be so ticked if I was anticipating a lap procedure and they went open over an equipment issue (as a patient) lol. Awesome experience for learners though! Especially to say you converted to open for your first!
It happens all the time. They tell you before you go it that if the lap doesn't work they will have to cut. These are matters of life and death. You have to tell yourself you are happy to be alive, because without this surgery, you die. Been there, done that.
@@noeljohnson3918 It happens, but usually not because of equipment issues. I would not complain if they needed to go open out of anatomic necessity, etc. I just meant I'd be upset to learn that it was strictly related to machinery.
Really hats off to the surgeons ... You are such a great guy , keep working and all the best . Hii I'm subhronil Ganguly from India I just wanna be a surgeon and go to US for a job .
I actually just had one of my worst ulcerative colitis flare ups that had me on the front door of septic shock. Weird seeing this pop up less than two months later, and have it kick off with UC. Kinda neet.

Hey! My name is Hailey. I am graduating high school this year in like two weeks. I am planning on going to Daytona state for a year then transferring to University of Florida to finish pre med and all the classes that i need. Would you have any recommendations for classes needed, extracurriculars and just tips in general. I have wanted to be a surgeon for a while and everyone tells me to hand more realistic expectations for my life but if i really want something i will find a way to get it and this is something i really want!
