Thanks so much man!!! My local pc shop wanted to charge me like $150 just to replace the battery, not even including the battery cost!!! You made this so clear and easy.
Thanks. These directions also work for the Omen 15 dc0052nr. For the longest time, I thought my laptop’s case had separated from the keyboard’s surface because of something I did. It was a swollen battery the whole time. Now I know not to keep it plugged in all the time.
Thank you so so much for the video! I was having worries because my laptop got super hot and my god the cover just popped off from the pressure of the battery being swollen.
At 06:16, the top-left is cracked for me - and the bottom (i.e. front of the laptop) doesn't close at all. The screw goes there but the lid is actually wide open. It may have been because of the swollen battery, but am not sure if that lid itself was broken because of the cracked top-left I mentioned before (it came like that from a refurbished shop).
Thank you so much for this! If you have time, though, I have a bizarre problem: I replace the battery and it works fine, charges and drains... but when the power cord is plugged in and it's charging, works fine if I unplug the laptop while it's running, but if I move the laptop too much while plugged in it crashes as if it's running with no battery and got disconnected. I think this has to do with a weak connection because I went to unplug the laptop and got a shock, did I somehow install the battery incorrectly? Or is there a software issue somewhere? I've updated my battery drivers and windows, so why is the battery not taking over like it should? Sorry for the long question, I know youtube comments like these can be annoying since there's no way to properly diagnose and this isn't the platform for that, but I figured trying wouldn't hurt
a common use case for a laptop is that it sits on a desk, all the time. Why would they be designed to ruin their batteries if left plugged in all the time? Really stupid of the computer industry. (Thanks for the video, nice and clear)
Hi, Ples am using an HP OMEN 15 and if am play games with it whiles on charge I loss so much fps buh if I remove it from charge, there will bi an improvements in fps. Can that bi caused by the battery?
One of the Phillips-head screws popped a loose [on its own] on the base enclosure and cannot be found. Where can I find a replacement screw at? Thank you.
I need to change mine and clean the fans, too. I'm so worried that I'll break something. I'd love to have someone else do it, but it's not like it's guaranteed that they won't break it, either. Lol. I'm debating.
Good morning Can you help me please I have a laptop OMEN by HP 15-ax246nf Laptop PC the battery (4 cell 63.3Wh Li-Ion battery) does not charge and the mains supply is good after having carried out all the tests (software) the battery seems in good condition and the cells too. in the device manager the installed drivers are from microsoft and not (official) hp Thanks
Just done it today, I have an omen 15, 5 years old, always plugged in, I replaced the m2 ssd and noticed the swollen battery, I was just about to replace the computer, and I just removed the battery, it will try to boot a few times as it doesn’t know what just happened until it resets the bios and all ok, just works👍
@@abhimanyusinghchouhan1691 Change the thermal paste on both cpu and gpu and keep the laptop higher than the desk, there are on amazon some laptop stand-raisers that do exactly that.👍
Great I feel stupid and didn’t have any common sense. I have an omen and only know realized a common mistake of charging it 24/7 when I shouldn’t need to.

The cmos is integrated in the laptop battery ? Or exist physically separated in the laptop ?
Thank you so much!! you just saved my life and a lot of money for a technician❤
Do you have any recommendations on calibrating the battery after it is replaced? Is it best to use the calibration option in the BIOS?
hi, can you tell me what are the types of 4 screws that secure the battery inside? I somehow misplaced them and I need to buy new ones :/
Thanks. Your video was super useful for me.
Can I use my laptop without battery, just to take the battery out of laptop?
Yes you can, it will act as a desktop PC
Can you please tell where is the CMOS battery in this?
Thank you king❤👑

The computer is not going to miss 1 screw.

Do you have/sell extra battery screws?
And also how to fix fps loss after being repaired? It’s still the same model
have you thought about cleaning the dust inside the fans ? Be carefull with how you do it
