For me, the buildings in Abuja and the city, is more beautiful than Lagos.
I am from América, and people asked me why I like Nigeria (knowing countries from Europe and América)....and there are 4 things:
    The people
    The music
    The buildings design
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: NIGERIA HAS SOUL

If you claim that white buildings are not that great why are you flocking to Europe in numbers and some even drowning in the ocean going to Europe for a better life with white people? Why are the wealthy Nigerians buying properties in Cape town? The Abuja story is the only thing you always talk about. This shows that except Abuja you have nothing to show off. People worldwide have inaccurately assessed the concept of a city's beauty. Some people describe a city as beautiful when several buildings are closest to the sky. The evaluation of a city's beauty by considering how tall buildings are without considering the grandeur, expanse of stunning structures and ease of life is proposed as the height perception fallacy (HPF).

The one and vital reason that perhaps can back up Ajim's claim that Abuja is the Capital of Africa is its Pan African ethos!
That is to say that there are streets in Abuja that are named after other African cities!!
You will find Khartoum, Accra, Bujumbura, Harare, Addis Ababa amongst other names in Abuja!
There are streets of names in Abuja named after known and celebrated African leaders, like Mandela, Kenyatta, Nkrumah, Samorah Machel, Thomas Sankara and so forth!
The same goes for streets in Abuja being named after African rivers and lakes !
Indeed there are also Abuja streets named after famous Black heroes like Marcus Garvey and indeed Bob Marley!
This, to my mind , is perhaps one good reason, if only in good humour, to call Abuja the capital of Africa!!
And Ajim Maczy should be dubbed its Roving Ambassador!!

You are talking of Abuja the Capital of Nigeria, take a trip to Cape Town, to some affluent neighborhood in Johannesburg, or even Limpopo, you'd definitely withdraw your statement. As regards infrastructure, South Africa is on a league of its own but their zenophobic tendencies leaves a sour taste to the mouth.
