Beautiful model... Back in the "blue-box" days, if it wasn't brass, we knew we were going to be buying a lot of details, bending wire, etc. The traction motor detail is a nice touch and your weathering brought out a lot of nice details, as well. Always enjoy the presentation on the layout!

BTW, any chance to see the working or construction of how the inside is setup with the built-in fans, wired to decoder, or any other custom or modifications for those who are curious or would like to install their own custom futures for radiator fans??

Nice Model and a great review. My only complaint is the ride height still looks a little too high. I've taken numerous pictures of these and there shouldn't be an air gap between the top of the truck side frames and the bottom of the frame. It appears to only be visible at certain angles on the model.
Not a deal breaker for me. We are model railroaders and this is something that can be fixed.

    • @hotrail8295

The air gap is because the real SD60Fs have traction motor blower baffles above the traction motors/truck side frames that fill the air gap. The Aurora SD60F sits at the proper height from all other indications.

Any motor noise from the radiator fans? Seen a few videos of motor noise louder than the prime mover. Also heard rumblings the sounds are too quiet/speaker not adequate? Any input?
