Congratulations on 10 years. Even the slow speed sounds pretty good.

Congratulations on 10 years Edward. I always look forward to seeing a new episode in my subscriptions list. And that Great old British company that at one time or another in their homes Ferguson. Our first TV was a Ferguson , Lovely wooden cabinet and the Cathode ray tube kept the sitting room warm in the winter!

Loved using these, largely because reels are BIG. Loved using Granny's. There are different qualities of course and I think the best ones had the largest reels which were a sort of frosted plastic, as I recall. Happy 2b corrected.

Happy 10th, I bet a 7.5ips recording made on a decent stock of tape creates a reasonable hifi playback based on the 3.75ips output very good for an idler machine

hi this was the top model of this range i saw the paper bill once the cleaning of the heads i used to use tandy tapes later zonal
now i still use zonal tapes and moved to 1/2 inch and up to 2 inch you have some ace gear

I have a National reel to reel with separate speakers that clip on. I have several machines but all my tapes have degraded over time.

yes it's such a shame some tapes do this I have well over 100 pre recorded EMI tapes that thankfully are all still OK for now at least but time will tell..

hi had the 4 track mono of this from about 1988 i would say the boss of a place i worked for got me it wow it can record very well NOTE TO ALL
this deck doe's not work right on the motor speed i only find out when i got a akai 4000 ds i could hear the play speed was not right
i have a otari mtr12 so i can play all my old tape i just put a know and the speed thing says 80% of 7 1/2
what i did on my otari mtr 12 in play mode it will say the tape time when the tape stops 32.45 sec
take the same tape play it on this it could be faster or slower played on this deck
i used to record of the TV it had a mono jack in the front so mum did not mind as the sound came out of the deck
one thing the pinch roller for this costs alot terry rubber rollers is ace very good job if you need some done do 4 plus at a time
i had 2 done last month for 2 decks cost was high 1 inch decks they were for
