It has basically become a more efficient and consistent OTK machine where, depending on matchup, your opponent honestly can't do much except watch you blow away all their Security and go for game. I also love the way BT-11 Ulforce sets up for BT-02 Ulforce (if you didn't know, even though BT-02 Ulforce has no [On Evolve] effect, you can still suspend her in response to BT-02's suspends when it attacks), which is a great backup finish in games where you unleash your BT-11 Ulforce early but it gets countered by Security - its primary weakness, Options especially. MASTEMON THOUGH. I gotta say, I think Mirei more than earns her 5 cost. The extra Memory every turn basically pays her back in the long run and the free Angewo/LadyDevi, coupled with their Memory gain effects just makes the deck feel so much smoother? I love being able to drop Gatomons without giving the opponent more Memory than necessary. Special mention though, goes to Ignitemon and the new Devimon. They might seem a bit plain compared to the core new support, but man do they help the deck. Imagine you're missing 1 attack for game, your Ignitemon [On Attack] can self-destruct your Ophanimon Falldown (after it has attacked) to pull a BT11 Devi from Trash. You can even do something like self-destruct your Lucemon Chaos Mode so you can reuse it on another Maste.
I could t agree more with you. It was a little unlucky for ulforce seeing that flame hellscythe early in the match but otherwise that’s typically how ulforce games go. Straight up blitzing an opponent with the right amount of tamers on the field and steal a game.
Great match. Cool as Ulforce is, I think Mastemon was probably the deck I was most rooting for. It's just got that slightly more unique playstyle to give it that edge. Next up is another match whee I don't quite no who to root for because they're both so cool I want to see more of them; Sukamon vs Galacticmon. It's gonna be a fun one, I can already tell.
As much as I love Ulforce, I was really rooting for Mastemon since it's my main IRL deck. Either way, it was a nice match and I would be satisfied with any of the outcomes. Still hyped to see what Galacticmon is capable of (specially since it will be against the wacky poop deck).
Gotta say, this was a very nice match. Ulforce is the king of multi-attacks but even he will buckle to this meeting of angels and demons. An excellent redo. So next is Sukamon vs Galacticmon. Honestly, Galacticmon does seem like it would be the winner hands down. However, Kingsukamon could cause the funniest comeback in history to happen with its access to several really good cards like itself, the new Etemon and Omnimon Zwart.
I found this one a bit disappointing to be honest. Mastemon is such a cracked card and all the yellow-purple support is just too good. With Ulforce being a one stack deck, there was no way it was going to successfully clear all of Maste's security and then have follow up. Honestly, Ulforce caught a lucky break with only hellscythe being in security. But hey, Mastemon is definitely not going anywhere anytime soon, so kudos to everyone who invested in the starter deck.
Now we just need Ulforce's Future Mode and X Antibody forms and I will be happy. Here's hoping we'll get those in BT12 depending on what they base that around
The New support really fixed alot of the problems mastemon had. Gatomon making a 1 evo, then get a free body so you can dna on your own turn for the ability to deal some damage without waiting a turn like before.
Urk. Two of the winners of the preliminaries are BWargX and Mastemon, whom the new Xros Heart variant has a lot of trouble with due to being slower, and neither of which I'm particularly fond of.

Can King Sukamon somehow pull something out of his mouth and win, or will Galactimon obliterate the annoying king into code? Though, this was odd, because Galaticmon shouldn't even be alive, let alone the Vemmon that occupy the hulking satellite. Was this because of the Dimensional Phase Outbreak happening all across the Digital World? Wisemon is currently looking into it as we speak. Let's hope he finds something, because I got a bad feeling about this.
Just curious, was there any reason for Mastemon to attack at 7:05 and leave itself open for the AeroVeedra instead of attacking with Luce, who is rather expendable and isn't a blocker? I get that Maste has the Nyaromon inheritable, but seemed like the match became closer than it should have been because of it.
Another reason is bcos Ulforce had both Davis and Blue Memory Boost on the field. So even if Maste hadnt attacked, Ulforce could have still forced its way through, bounced Maste and go full combo. Here's the exact play: 1. Aero moves out 2. BMB Delay, 3 -> 5 3. Evolve into Ulforce for, 5 -> 1, drop Rina 4. Ulforce attacks, Rina suspends to drop Rina No. 2 5. Ulforce unsuspends, triggers its bounce with 3 Tamers on the field, Maste goes back to hand 6. Ulforce proceeds with its combo So even if Maste hadnt attacked, Ulforces turn wouldnt have really changed. They played such that they didnt really need the first strike on Aero

Just got started with this game and picked Mastemon to build, so watching matches with her etc. I've seen a lot of other decks running Gazimon and Psychemon, I'm guessing they're not in this build to make room for the Salamon and Tsukaimon just to dig deeper faster? To explain a bit: my channel/videos focus on casual theme decks rather than competitive builds. So if you are seeking competitive deckbuilding advice, my video recipes are not a good reference. If you want to play Maste competitively, Gazi/Psyche should def be run over Sala/Tsukai to shut down the opponent, esp in the current Xros meta. His When Digivolve effect lets you place 3 non Digi-Egg cards from your trash at the bottom of your deck in any order to unsuspend this Digimon and 1 of your Tamers. So you can use it with Rina's effect to unsuspend Zero and herself while attacking, then repeat into you have no cards in your trash. With the new WaruSeadramon that is blue and purple, i'm really considering trying a blue/purple deck with the warp digivolving Veemon, this new Rina and UlforceVeedramon Zero. Anyways it was a awesome battle buddy thank you just I just didn’t want to seem harsh or Disrespectful that’s all.
I disagree actually. I'd rather get the early search for more consistency. Having the right Veemon/Veedramon/Aero often makes a difference in terms of whether you can burst 1 turn earlier. All the recent event topper lists in Japan run at least 2 Davis, Kiyo often turns vanilla as the Veedra line comes with its own draw effects. I can get behind 2 cost Matt tho
I think I know what you're going to say after that, but do you think the new BT11 cards just make the BT9 Meicoomon line pretty much worthless in the deck? 😅
Hmm this is tough haha. Personally, I believe the Meicoo line still has relevance, but including them means you'll end up with a slightly different kind of deck. So depends on what you're going for. Do I think this new pure Maste build works better than Meicoo-Maste tho? After playtesting, I think so
@@rustmarrow I think my wife will appreciate it more too tbh. Mastemon is her main deck, and whilst she recognises that it's stronger with the Meicoomon line, she's also found it less focused. These new cards letting it streamline back a bit could be big for her.

@@r_valkyrie7635 that makes sense but considering Agumon is basically the pikachu of this game I’d say it’s forgivable. @@jaydblerd4360 All 3 have unreleased X forms and played a role in Savers. On the other hand, we haven't gotten a core Savers set yet but ShineGrey Burst Mode has been hinted for BT12/EX4. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
this conlcudes that mirei is the best waifu in re digitize since both akiho and rina is taken out on the first round
KingSukamon best waifu, I'm not taking any arguments
@@rustmarrow Galactimon: *Sad Gunslinger noises*
@@rustmarrow i'm definitely not going to have king sukamon as my waifu haha
He fought bravely but once again his tournament debut was short lived 😭😭😢😢.
I’m sorry for being down Rustmarrow I enjoyed the battle without a doubt but it’s just Veemons my personal favorite Digimon I hate seeing the poor guy loose like that is all nothing personal on how the battle went Mastemon is a tricky deck to play around if I’m honest I have a friend who plays it too & it always puts me on edge every time. Anyways it was a awesome battle buddy thank you just I just didn’t want to seem harsh or Disrespectful that’s all.
I'm glad Ulforce didn't win when their gameplay was basically "sit in raiseing and try and OTK"; 0 interaction sucks.
Now this is how to do waifu deck wars
Davis as a tamer does very little for the ulforce deck. Replace w/ Kiyoshiro or Matt
Nah rust you gotta play the infinite combo ulforce zero deck.
It's literally Ignitemon not Igneetmon
Nope. It's a poor translation from the EN side, the pronunciation is as 'Igneet', not 'Ignite'
@@rustmarrow My goodness..... besides literally like 95% says Ignitemon
So nice to have a Tamer cost more than four tbh.
Agreed, it's really refreshing
@@rustmarrow
RIGHT? Annoyingly, some might hate that she was really rare, but Tamers had to cost more in memory at some point.
One comment said "Tamers shouldn't be rare period," but what if Lord Megadeath was released as a Tamer? Overlord GAIA? *YGGDRASIL?*
Personally, I have been wanting a ten cost Ygggdrasil from near the beginning. Of course, nine cost might be better.
Even with how many times you bricked mastemon won LOL, it was all planned
It was a truly a clash between guts and tactics
Digimon needs to just rebrand to the mastemon tcg already at this point
Seriously? More like Greymon tcg
@@r_valkyrie7635 yeah because greymon has always been the strongest most consistent deck in the game. Think before you say something bozo
@@Jckgjlms Mastemon is far from the being the strongest and most consistent deck. I was more referring too that in nearly every pack, released and upcoming, there has been variants of Greymon cards.
@@r_valkyrie7635 that makes sense but considering Agumon is basically the pikachu of this game I’d say it’s forgivable. Mastemon in my opinion can draw its support from literally almost any other purple or yellow themed deck and multiply their capability tenfold. Plus she keeps getting huge steady support directly, like Merei and her lv 5s in bt11 or indirectly from other purple/ yellow decks like security control etc. I think she’s a really over represented deck and has been for the past two or three formats. Sorry for calling you Bozo
Ah yes, the waifu wars
You videos was good but when you start overexplaining everythink matches become less smooth. But I see you stop with Jogress Evo sequences.
