@@SwitchUpYt Don’t know if you’re gonna read this or have the time to answer but I’ve been putting of starting this game because the team (awesomely) keeps expanding the game and announced that 2023 will gonna be their biggest year yet, I’m wondering if I should wait until they stop making new content or just jump in. I’m more of a wait for the definitive edition kind of guy. Like with Nioh it was jarring that they added a new main weapon as DLC over half a year after release that I would’ve liked to start with. DLC like Horizon Forbidden West is fine since it takes place after the main story so I’m wondering how is it with the DLC in Dead Cells? Is it all completely random? Is it endgame or postgame DLC? What are you thoughts?

Beating 5BC is one of the hardest things I have done in a video game. I put it up there with beating the 5th pantheon in Hollow Knight. Both games are incredible. I died while cursed in my only run last night, but I'm eager to play some more tonight!
Due to the Castlevania DLC and SwitchUp’s review + comments here I’m intrigued to finally try this one. Two Switch port related questions, if anyone minds answering: Are joycon stick controls accurate enough to still be fun / not too self limiting vs actual d-pad (playing on non-lite / vanilla OLED switch in portable)? Video footage looks like 30fps in some instances, is that because of portable? I read somewhere that the developer supposedly fixed their switch performance issues? Why would there be the need to play at 30fps then? Thank you ✌️
Unless it’s a cross platform game online like Fortnite, I really don’t understand this obsession with frames per second. Most dedicated Switch gamers don’t use normal joy con controls either, so I’m guessing you own other current systems with these questions.

I'm literally banging my face into my phone. I can't believe I've never played Dead Cells. It looks gorgeous, and now adding Castlevania, pure gold. I saw the DLC announcement on the direct and blew it off. I love 2D/2.5D games especially MetroidVania ones, Bloodstained, Hollow Knight, Ori, Blasphemous, etc. and am so mad at myself for not playing Dead Cells. Going to download this now, obviously with this DLC. Thank you guys for this video. I have to say, that I am glad someone is using the Castlevania brand since Konami obviously isn't. Konami as a company angers me because since 1985 at the launch of the NES, Konami was one of those top tier companies. Castelvania, Rush n' Attack, Contra, Adventure of Bayou Billy, Gradius, Axelay, Metal Gear, you name it. They have great IPs, but aren't doing anything with them. Their focused on NFTs, and Pachinko machines. Now Konami has released Contra/Castlevania/Castlevania Advance collections and others on the Switch, which I own. But man. Imagine if they released on the Switch MGS: Twin Snakes from the GameCube (like Metroid Prime: Remastered) at a $40 price point. Then released MGS 2 and 3 in a collection package at $60. I'd pick those up in a heart beat. Don't even get me started on Castlevania Symphony of the Night. They could release the same version of the game for $30 unaltered just emulated, or $40 if they enhance it or remaster it. But imagine a collection piece at $60 if they made the game 2.5D with Bloodstained graphics, and had the original unaltered version included in it so you could experience both versions. I'd easily drop the cash for that. But instead Konami will let these IPs just die. What a tragedy. So sad. 😔

Dead Cells has been in my backlog forever as I was still slowly getting through Hades. When my five year old son isn't putting in over 600 hours on Super Mario Odyssey.😂 This DLC finally made me start playing and I've loved every minute. As a huge fan of Rouge Legacy, this is like the "upgraded" version, faster gameplay, better art style, that I've been craving. Now with a Castlevania flair that checks all the right boxes.
I've enjoyed the DLC a lot so far, the music is nearly worth the asking price by itself imo. For anyone that doesn't know, from the audio settings in the main menu you can switch the entire game's soundtrack over to Castlevania music. Yes Mark! Never on the fence with this one. As one of the best games I've ever played, I can't ruddy wait for this one. As it's the price of a large doner kebab, I'm in!
This looks absolutely class. Love the original and might have to jump back in after watching this vid
Never played Dead Cells...I know I know. It's been on my backlog for the longest but this new DLC will finally stop me what I am playing for now and check it out.
Not related but I'd love Konami to bring back the Rebirth series as a collection 😁😁😁
I haven't played this game since my PS4 was my main console, and being a sucker for Castlevania I had to double dip. This is the kind of game that is perfect for the Switch (as opposed to the PS5). Was $22.99 so im not complaining. All I want to know is how do you parry in this game? Do I have to acquire that as a skill?
I've never tried dead cells but this dlc makes me kinda want to try it out
Are there any performance issues on the switch version?
I own but have never finished Deadcells. I own but have never finished Castlevania... I think this is the perfect DLC to own but not finish 😂😂😂😂
Can someone please tell me if the d-pad works on the Switch version on this game?
Has the game difficulty options like easy, hard etc?
Anyone got a idea or run time of the dlc?
Oh this looks so awesome! Also... does this mean Konami may be good again?... At least they're not screwing anyone or am I missing something?
I’m going to disagree and say it beats hades. They just continue to support it and give so much for the small costs of the DLC. Amazing game. Picking this up!
Love dead cells, never played castlevania but this does look a bit good!
Im gonna buy dead cells anyway someday, so this is even a better excuse to buy the dlc's bundle
I highly recommend you the other dlc's, more than a complement, they feel very integrated to the world building and the lore of the game in general, they are really top tier content
Definitely this
