- In this episode, come shop with me as we go treasure hunting for finds at Yoder's Amish Flea Market & Craft Show! We've been going there for over 20 years and it's one of our favorites!!! There are so many great finds at this flea market and their prices are fabulous! This is an Amish flea market so they have wonderful homemade food to offer! They even have a quilt auction that many enjoy! It's just a nice wholesome day to spend out shopping with the family there!!! So, if you're ready....let's go on a shopping adventure!!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS VIDEO...
All the things I love!! I have old sewing machine draws that I’ve hung on the walls with other arrangements. You attach the bottom part of the drawer to the wall and use as a shadow box. You can hang it horizontally or vertically. They look fabulous 💕🙏🙏

It's a potato one, to make potatoes look like rice, and those are the prettiest mums I have ever seen I hope you got some. Plant them and they will come back every year.

Awwww I use to go to this flea market every year when I lived in Michigan I lived in Saginaw so it wasn't to far to travel been gone about 3 years now I had good times and good finds there

I’ve been to Yoders in Lancaster PA. Amazing furniture, crafts, home decor and especially quilts. I have a gorgeous moving click and quilt from Amish country
That masher u picked up and wondered is a Spetzle maker. You put the dough in the hopper and push gently and it falls in boiling water. It is a German pasta.😊. Great video, thank u!
Great place to get antiques, just got back from Shipshewana, Indiana Labor Day Flea Market days. Took 2-days, but I got a lot of nice farm/home antiques. I love making the deals and getting them to lower their price. It's easy with so many vendors selling the same items.

Yeh! She’s back!!!!!😂 We have a Yoder family here in Hartwell who own cabinet, hardware and restaurant businesses - they are Mennonites and are well known for their craftmanship and great farm fresh food. If I remember correctly, they are descended from the same religious origins but separated over doctrine way back when. I wish our locals would have a flea market! I loved seeing all the great things with you. I really enjoyed this one. TFS.

I have an Amish buggy that’s 6 inches tall with the rolling flaps from an antique shop in Kalona, Iowa. In Dallas texas I bought the cast iron Amish family of 4. This year I made a winter scape on a tray for Christmas. Really cute. Most of the rusty stuff isn’t my style, but I love going to Kalona Iowa. We shop at their store out in the country and buy German wooden spoons that last forever. Nice video.
Ricer for potatoes, rutabaga etc. I have a whole collection of very old irons. That shovel with green handle with a chunk out of the handle would make an awesome Christmas redo. I’ve done snowmen and women out of salt n pepper shakes.

I love Lancaster, Pa. where the Amish live also. Love everything about these unique, Godly people. Love their whoopie pies and so many of their desserts.

It's called a rice Mill. I always do my mashed potatoes, or my mashed cauliflower through this awesome little piece of equipment.

Loved this video so much made me homesick for the Amish Country in Lancaster County Pennsylvania which is where I grew up going to frequently!
The green tool you always see is a ricer. You cook your whole potato until it is soft, then instead of mashing it, you put it in the ricer.

Yup that’s a ricer I have one from my mother in law she used it to rice cooked potatoes that she made into gnocchi (potato dumplings). Great video!

The green handled kitchen utensil is a potato ricer. Some are also used to make spatzle.

The springs would also make great card or photo display pieces. Mount it on a piece of wood, maybe a large cutting board, along the back, leaving space in front to display smalls that have something to do with the cards or photos displayed. i.e. display some antique Halloween postcards, and display little pumpkins, spiders, or a small jar with a reproduced antique candy label. So many options by using the springs as display pieces.
You picked up a potato ricer. I grew up making mashed potatoes with one that looked just like that. Circa 1962. 😂😂
Potato ricer. This tool is commonly used to rice potatoes, a process that forces cooked potatoes through the ricer and turns the potatoes into fine, thin shreds. The resulting potatoes are lighter and fluffier.

It is a potato ricer. You force boiled potatos through it to get mashed potatos, basically. It was the precurser to making mashed potatos with a mixer.

I liked seeing what some people can imagine when looking at an old object. The umbrella idea was really creative. I also thought the old handles as flowers was a very clever repurposing. I wish I had a more creative mind.

Since you have been going here for over twenty years, then you would have seen my sister-in-laws booth when she was doing handmade baskets and concrete lawn decor. I bought her business in 2014 and started going in 2015. My last year of taking the concrete there was the fall of 2018. It's just too heavy to cart around anymore. So if you had ever stopped in on the corner lot (north end) that had all of the concrete statues, then I have met you before. I usually run up there and look on Friday, but this year, I was just too busy at home selling. As I am watching this, you came upon some burlap bags. I had people trying to buy them from me all the time. But they aren't mine to actually sell. Sometimes my husband would sell a couple, but we had to keep them because that is what we use to pack the concrete in.
