Whenever I see videos like this I have to try to make myself feel better by telling myself that these are likely hand picked for entertainment value and don't reflect the majority of people that were asked.. and also give some latitude for being nervous when put on the spot in front of a camera and possibly drawing a blank on something that you know or over thinking it.
But even still.. not being able to name just 3 other countries?? any three? pretty scary.

I would like to clarify this video is of Gen Z in the US. It's basically a running joke in the rest of the world (and I mean this) that americans are pretty dumb and don't even know what fucking continent they're on, while also believing people in Europe don't have cars and live in igloos. I love it, it's a fun job! I build stuff that goes into making elevators, school buses, MRI machines, clothes, fabrics, race cars; both formula 1 and nascar... and an over use of the word "various". Which means I build stuff for a lot of various machines that make a lot of various things. I love it! Every time someone points out that I dropped out high school as a bad thing, I remind them that I and people like me build the world around them.

@@hankorhenry9156 I think schools are very important. Not just for memorizing random facts but mainly for leaning how to think and how to solve problems; as well as learning tools and skills that you can apply in life. I think the issue is bad schools being too common and the format not working as well as it should.
One can still learn useful things through unguided experience, sure.. but only if one cares to pay attention and sees value in learning new things. It is also not nearly as efficient as learning under the direction of someone more familiar with a particular subject area than you are. For example, you talk about your job in machining.. I don't know for certain but I highly doubt they just hired you, showed you a shop floor and said, 'have at it'. You maybe attended a trade school or at the very least had a senior employee show you what to do or mentor you for a bit before letting you complete assignments all on your own. You had some form of guided training.

@@kirikayumura6015 I’m an Apache pilot and believe it or not after a few tests here and there yeah they just hired me some guys fresh off the street and yeah we learned from dudes with hands on experience. Unless you plan to go for certain things college is worthless because as you said you’re not learning real world stuff you’re learning what a book says but as soon as college students hit the real world they shit the bed every single time employers are complaining college kids are coming out and performing worse and worse as the years go along. I’ve seen dudes from very prestigious schools who I wouldn’t trust to walk and chew gum at the same time let alone to be proficient at a job. If you want real world experience you need to do the job otherwise you passed 4 years of reciting what’s been told to you. College is nothing more than a echo chamber

A lot of students I was in classes with were too busy on their phones texting and checking their online status......while the professor was speaking. A great many people now a days are just rude in the classroom. But the fact that these simple, basic questions had only ONE right answer is sad. But blame goes in three directions: the teachers who do not go by the curriculum and teach what and how they want. The students who fall behind and lack interest and then complain why they fail. And the parents, who sometimes pass a blind eye and deaf ear about their child's education.

@@abattle4101 That i agree with, but one of my professors was really good about it. He had the same problem: how do i get the students attention? Then he came in and introduced to the class that no phones will be in sight, held his up and turned it off. He said he didn't want to see phones on the desk. If students needed to be alert then keep the phone on vibrate but he's kicked students out of his class for being on their phones. So, maybe that's what you need: if you don't want to pay attention then go home.

The cops began chasing me and shouting something but I don't speak Japan so I kept going. Ended in a crash that totaled my 80000 dollar car. It's okay tho, I think the 11 dimes in my pocket should cover most of it. Anyways, God bless America, the continent of the 11 free states! I am a baby Boomer and I have to say we were taught well. The education system was a lot tougher back then and if you didn't get it during the school year you were either held back or you went to summer school. I am glad that by the time this age group becomes really important I will probably be gone so I really hate that my grown sons and grand children are gonna have to deal with these kinds of dummies. They should fire the teachers who were the teachers of this generation because they don't know anything. They just passed a bill to stop giving kids the exit exam. They should bring that back and take away there right to vote and should not be permitted to run for any type of a leadership job. They should bring back the exit exam and start giving test like after the 1-3,4-6-7,-8,9-10,11-12.. They need to follow behind teachers and at the end of each period and the students that don't pass should be held back and the teachers in each of these groups should be fired for not educating these kids because they are not helping these young people. Lord please help. You should check out the video behind the Anthem
