Aloha Sir, I want to say that your videos are becoming a font of knowledge and a resource that I share with many people asking about Vietnam. I’m new here in Saigon, so my read on everything is a novice at best. The video quality is impressive, and the content is evolving just as your channel is. I share this series with as many people as I can. Frankly, I can’t understand why there are not as many followers as some of the others that seem to be filled with the endless ramble. Great job and I look forward to the next one! Aloha Douglas
My pick is Danang, I would like to move there in a few years. Its in between Hanoi and HCM City and it doesnt have crazy traffic and not alot of people.
Wonderful video. As Canadian and Algerian, I am planning to retire either in Vung Tau (Vietnam) or Jakarta (Indonesia). I have two nephews in Vietnam one is an English teacher, the other I don't know and I don't know also the cities they live in. but this is a plus to add to Vietnam.
Dalat and Nha Trang, Beach and mountain. It’s so beautiful. The food in Dalat is very good. Ken , be careful living in Dalat- easy to get too heavy lol. So much good food
These videos ARE THE ONLY VIDEOS ANYONE NEEDS! Your commitment is unmatched. Dec 28 will be my 4th visit to Vietnam. Normally I stay in Le Sands in Danang and WINK in Saigon, (They all know me there) I have just decided after careful consideration (because I do like Bangkok too) that Vietnam is going to be the place for me to do business. I will reach out early 2023 for a consultation with your company to see if my line of business is OK there
Ken....always nice to see your enthusiatic boosterism for VN, a country I woudl love to retire to (as I am ready do that) and have made two exploratory trips to the country in 2019 and 2022. However, as @dancooper5741 says quite correctly, VN is nowhere to be seen in the expat/retirement space, globally or regionally. And it may be that a country of almost 100m people isn't too worried about attracting foreign expats, which is fine. But you need to be more honest about the lack of possibilities for retirees to VN, especially when it's well-known that even the request for a "longer than 30 day visa" is failing to get any traction in the country.
Nice video. I think a beach vila in Nha trang would be cool. It's so incredibly pricy though =/. seems like beach villa's in Vietnam are close to 1 million usd. =/. It seems like for for purchasing, it's cheaper to buy in Thailand? Kinda weird. =/.
You’re putting out some great content!! I say this as someone who lives in a similar place and that is NJ in the states but this state is going downhill fast. Vietnam looks lovely and I enjoy the concise way you explain things.
Cheers for the video mate. I'm an Aussie here now in Vietnam and it's only been 3 weeks but I've been bitten by the bug and absolutly love the place. I started in Saigon and have spent the last two weeks in Da Lat. I'm not considering living here, I've made that decision already. Now it's just a matter of when, where and how.
Ha Long City is also a really nice place to live if the bigger cities are too much to take for you. There are also great beaches and a relaxed lifestyle is possible there. The 4 seasons are clearly distinct, where especially in winter cold winds from the north can become a bit chilly. But it never gets really cold - I would say the temperature is like in southern Spain - so not bad at all.
I like Vinh Ha Long area, where it has 4 beautiful seasons, not too hot like the south. It is close to the Mother Nature of jungle. I like to find wild fruits in the jungle and eat sea food. This area is close to the mountain and the sea. If I get bore, I can easily visit the great China.
Thank you for your time and posting. I'll be checking out VN in October to see if I want to retire there. Can't wait. I've done a lot of homework already, most likely I'll look into central VN. Thank you again.
Hi Ken can you make a video on the living expenses on these 6 cities you just mention. I was born in vietnam hcmc but havent been the for 50 odd years so a video on the cost of living in these cities would be pretty informative thabks abd nore power to you. God bless

Have to say you have some great videos, I went to Ho Chi Minh back in August this year and loved Vietnam and the people, can't wait to go back hopefully next year and maybe go to Da Nang or Nha Trang, I am thinking of maybe trying to buy a condo in a overseas country for later in life and an early retirement, would be after a 1 or 2 bedroom condo preferably in a coastal city but would consider other places, what would the approximate entry level price for an Australian citizen to buy a condo in Vietnam, doesn't need to be new just needs to be liveable and has Air conditioning, it's own bathroom and toilet, basically to a western standard, also the best place to look at listing's for property suitable for foreigners to be able to buy! Thanks for your help and keep up the great videos
You need to have VN citizenship to buy or own anything. My family have a house there and we are not allow to put it under our name... lame. So buying now for later in life is impossible unless you dual citizenship.
@@Nath-the-explorer You're welcome. I am not really sure about the law on condos but I think you are right. There this one district in Ho Chi Minh City where majority of foreigners lived in high rise condos. Good Luck!!

Yes and after a month in Vietnam you will need one with the horrific traffic and noise as well the horrendous infrastructure and blocked walkways, it's a nightmare
Dang Nang, Vung Tau & Nha Trang are great options 👍 Da Lat is ok. It’s getting hotter over the years due to deforestation & buildings & traffic jams 👌 Sai Gon & Ha Noi are too crowned. Hard to commune if it’s rain -> street is flooded. 👎

Ken is there a need for mental health therapist in Vietnam? I am currently trying to decide if I should try to get a teaching certification or try to remain in the mental health field.
Could be. Please watch our video on getting a job in Vietnam.
Yes and after a month in Vietnam you will need one with the horrific traffic and noise as well the horrendous infrastructure and blocked walkways, it's a nightmare
Can expats purchase and own RE in Vietnam?

Masteri in Thao dien is not a good complex.
Estella or Estella height is heaps better.
They all are horrible areas in an awful polluted city

How’s about Can Tho city?
It is a developing city as well, good for business.
Dang Nang, Vung Tau & Nha Trang are great options 👍
Da Lat is ok. It’s getting hotter over the years due to deforestation & buildings & traffic jams 👌
Sai Gon & Ha Noi are too crowned. Hard to commune if it’s rain -> street is flooded. 👎
Thanks
100% agree ❤
