Let me start by saying Skai and Alan had a beautiful partnership. Skai couldn’t be in better hands. Her Cha Cha was 🔥! The Viennese Waltz was the best dance of the night. Much more than cute. I saw a Princess with Prince Charming. The served all the feels. I hope they know how amazing they were
I agree with 100% she did so good and it wasn’t cute!!!!!!! 😡 Also her and Allen are perfect together
I will forever respect Maks’ opinion. As a professional ballroom dancer myself, I would give Skai a 10 for that Vietnamese Waltz but to each there own, right?
You’re a professional ballroom dancer? You wrote Vietnamese waltz instead of Viennese waltz. That seems like something a professional would know. As a former pro am dancer, I know which one is correct.

Maks is a professional dancer who is critiquing the celebrities.
Just because you don't agree with his critiques doesn't mean it's okay for you to say he's "hating" on her. It's a critique, it's not personal.

Chloe S. ya I kind of feel a lot of her fans exist in this rose coloured bubble and any criticism against is some sort of affront. They see her as a lot better of a dancer than Maks and others see her as and that difference seems a little hard to swallow.

I agree and I've noticed that this entire season. No matter what score she received, if it was a 9 for example, people were outraged that it wasn't a 10.
It would have been nice to see them be genuinely happy for her and not claiming that people were hating on her. For a young kid, that can be disappointing if people are saying she's being underscored and could cause her to think the judges are being unfair and create doubt in her mind. I hope I explained that right.
His delivery isn’t the best and I wouldn’t call them critiques more like backhanded compliments

@@megananomous If there are so many things, can you just give one specific example of what he said that is a back handed compliment? This isn't like Lindsay Arnold's channel where she gives her thoughts after watching the episode, this is Mak's (who is a very different person than Lindsay) instant reaction. I think it's really unfair to expect Maks to filter himself anymore than how he has done here. I watched this video again and no where did I find he was being mean or uncalled for in his criticism based on these parameters.
her Viennese Waltz was literally one of the best performances of the season. what... especially when you are giving other dances a 10 that were not better than this
Maks, I know you did not give Kaitlyn a 10 for her Paso and then give Skai a 9 for her Waltz. Those dances weren’t even on the same level and you know it, Skai deserved that perfect score.

Maks I love you but hard disagree on these scores. Her Cha Cha and Viennese Waltz were both great, and both much better than some of the dances you gave 10s.
But especially the Waltz. I mean, how could that not be a 10? Lol

I think Skai worked hard for that 10 she got on the Waltz. She brought sooo much to it. And I think Alan was a perfect partner for her, outside of maybe brandon I dont see any other Male pro being able to make Skai comfortable dancing with them. They seemed to really trust each other.
Yeah I think they both worked well together & have amazing partnership. Other than Alan, I think she would be good with Val or maybe Brandon.
Didnt Derek also say this was his absolute favorite look from Skai? I swear Maks is like his Tanner, Russisn twin lol.

It’s kind of hard to accept that Alan probably shouldn’t have been the partner for Skai bc if you watch them outside of the show they are really close and bonded. They were the best to pair for friendship and care for each other but it’s true, Alan may not have been the best for Skai. Ahh I hate saying that because they are so good together, it just isn’t reflective in the dances.
Alan is a whole foot taller than Skai that’s probably why people don’t think they were great. I’m sad their relationship off the dance floor didn’t resonate on it as well as it could have 🥺 It may have been her issues with anxiety as well
Oh I completely disagree. I think Alan really brings out her comfort zone.

They are mismatched, They have connection off dance floor. But 100 percent mismatched as dancers.

@@megananomous I’ve watched his videos every week wondering when he will give her some props for doing so well, especially these last couple weeks. I get she had some hiccups early on but common man.
@@josevaldovinos698 he just doesn’t see the hard work she put in. He only sees a minute and a half of a 10 week process of getting Skai to feel comfortable with the Latin dances given that she probably had anxiety about getting all sexy and flirty since she is a shy and reserved person. Like he doesn’t know all that
Yeah the judges give skai a 7 when skai messes up but when nev does he get a 9 so rigged and unfair the judges changed

Right. I think when you’re an exceptional beautiful young women it’s difficult for some to compliment their talent with ease. Their talent is usually picked apart.

I don't know maybe it's just me personally but I feel his criticism is a little bit tougher on Britt and Skye
I disagree. I think her cha cha was very clean and crisp. And she looked much more confident than in past dances.
I think Maks analyzed their dances perfectly tonight and has been doing so throughout. Because she is such a cute little thing, I think people want to ascribe more skill to her than what she has. She is able to move and perform but the technical execution is lacking. She needs Alan (or any partner) to guide her through the dance.
Been thinking all season that she should have been paired with Pasha or Sasha.
Maks was a lot taller than Meryl Davis but somehow the height contrast didn't show. Alan and Skai height difference is so obvious. I wonder why?

I think there was a lot of posing in the waltz that bothered me. But she looked beautiful!
