At 00:54, I LOVE Justina so much, she is such a firecracker! Kaitlyn is so good but Justina just makes me want to get up and cheer for her, her enthusiasm is contagious.
I loved both Johnny and A.J.'s jives but I liked Johnny's more. I have nothing but respect for A.J. and he did great but Johnny's was sharper.
I was impressed with Nelly's enthusiasm but Skai was the clear winner. Props to Daniella though, she is spectacular.
This elimination was painful because neither should have been in the bottom.
I've noticed Derek doesn't like to be the deciding vote on who's going home and passes it off to Carrie Anne. Clever but grow a set Derek.

you said exactly what i felt watching justina and kaitlyn - their styles are so different! i absolutely love watching justina - her passion and enthusiasm are infectious. i like watching kaitlyn, too, b/c her technique is so beautiful. i don't know what it's going to take to get her to put more feeling into the dancing. i know she can do it b/c she's been very expressive and vulnerable in other situations - on her podcast, in interviews/videos about her life and previous relationships, on the bachelorette and when reflecting on her bachelorette experience. but for some reason, she's not doing it here. :)

This reminds me of when Maks and Brandy did not make it to the finals. This competition becomes a popularity contest. It's not about who is the best dancer because Nelly should have gone home .
This elimination was the worse! wrong team went home...

The bottom two should’ve been Nelly and AJ with Nelly going home. It’s never an easy illumination when the wrong person is in the bottom. It is what it is though now. Week 10 here we come! Oh and absolutely Justina.

Because this is such a popularity contest, I think the judges should decide the bottom 2, and then America can vote between the two who they want to stay. Nelly is now in the finale and may end up winning this thing because of his fan base, definitely not because of his dancing. It’s just sad. In my books JUSTINA deserves the win the most! She does not have the fan base that the others in the finale have, all she has is her solid dances each week, and that’s a testament to how good of a coach Sasha is. And Sasha deserves his first mirror ball.

Thank you for validating my thoughts on the dance off between AJ and Johnny. Judges gave that to AJ over Johnny and I was screaming "WHAT?!" at my tv.
I think with both this dance off and the cha cha between Justina and Kaitlyn, it comes down more to personal preference. Johnny and Kaitlyn have better technique, while AJ and Justina are better performers. I think those could be argued either way. For the Salsa dance-off, Ski was the clear winner.
I love seeing everybody talk shit about Nelly, and I was surprised AJ went home considering he's in a boy band for like 30 years and has learned how to dance for a long time and having Cheryl as his partner, but everybody saying it's a popularity contest, AJ got millions of fans, Skai has been on Disney since she was like 7 years old, she has millions of fans, so why was AJ in the bottom 2, why has Skai been in the bottom 2 multiple times, I'm waiting to see what Mak's got to say about Nelly's jive.

i was waiting for this! love it. but i'm surprised you didn't comment on nelly's. he's no contender, but he's improved so much! he was actually moving his hips some in his dance, and more steps than usual. and he seems far less stiff overall. :)
Nev didn’t have to do a duet because it was an odd number of couples so he had the highest scores overall for the season and got the points automatically.
I love your review Mask. on point about Justina. I wish you were a judge on show becaue it would help the stars, letting them know when when right and wrong. Personal I think Nelly should have been gone home , he should not have gotten that far, I think Aj was robbed

Kaitlyn is boring. She knows the steps, but she doesn't "wow" you. That's the difference. Justina draws your attention and keeps it.

I like nelly & I’m a huge fan, but he should’ve been eliminated.
Here is my question for the dwts judges though to echo Cheryl, what kind of competition is this? If it’s a dance competition then technique matters. Is justina entertaining? YES! Is Justina a good dancer? No not really, so if your purpose is entertainment then stop taking points off for technique all together on this show because you don’t care if it’s about technique then sure speak about how you want more of a show but stop deducting points for a lack of it. Nelly is entertaining but can’t dance and yet he stays around and gets better scores then some of the better dancers. Kaitlyn is a phenomenal dancer and yet they complain about a show. I think if they would explain that her technique is perfect and give the score that reflects it and then follow up with an explanation of how they want her to be a performer then it would be more constructive. These were dance offs and technique should have mattered more then a smile and some shimmying
It's never been just a dance competition because the majority of people voting (the viewers) probably have never had a dance lesson in their lives.
This is not the first time Cheryl has been sent home early when she's had a more than capable celebrity.
I wish they scored more like World of Dance. In WoD, they have categories (which I can't remember right now) and for each category they rate on a scale of 1-10, so each judge gives them a score between 1-100 and then the scores are averaged. I agree technique should be the most important, but at the end of the day, these are celebrities on a TV show: I need some entertainment/showmanship. Professional dancers make sure they have great technique, but they also make sure they are performing. I think with the current 1-10 scoring, the judges don't have a clear and fair way to judge them. Sometimes they give couples way too many points for exciting dances. Also it's hard to judge when the difficulty levels of dances are different. There's too many factors that go into a dance to be judged on a 1-10 scale.
Justina also has good technique but she’s more loose .. Kaitlyn is too stiff .. she need more personality in her dances.. also Kaitlyn’s dances are basic .. need more in her dances which is on Artem .. I am disappointed in Artem this time .. he’s got the best partner and doesn’t give her the routines she needs .. she can do more I guess is what I’m saying
Justina won with out question. But I do think Justina is a good dancer. Maybe not perfect technically, but put Kaitlyn and Justina side by side, I think Justina would win every time because she’s perfection when it comes to overall performance. Wish she won this season. I enjoyed her dancing much more than I did Kaitlyn.
