Well done John!! 😎 The last man standing - loved it!! Your choice of music worked so well. Such great footage capturing the terrain and effort involved 🎉

John, a fitting 20th anniversary return👍 You gave a great sense of a beautiful ridge walk - always good to have to use the hands and do some bum sliding😊 A fantastic circuit with those stunning views down to the lough all along the way. A lovely detailed commentary too👍

Superb video. Thank you so much for posting. The Macgillycuddy's Reeks is a superb hill walk. I did the whole range (west to east) on a glorious long day in 1992. However, near the end I tired and looked at this ridge, and panicked a bit, as I realised that if it was technically too demanding I would not get down safely that day (ascended from the north). As it was, it was okay, and did give thanks for my safety at the small altar on top of Cnoc na Peiste.

Yes steeper than you might think. Using both hands and feet is serious business. Like when I climbed Spik in Slovenia 2400 mtrs alone from the easy side.

Oh my god all I kept thinking was ...one missed step....but given you posted the video I convinced myself all turned out fine...fabulous video...but doing that on your own? Not sure it makes sense from a safety point of view...
