The 400 is a great saw. Looks like you got the plan working.

We really like the amount of power it has compared to what it weighs! Thanks for watching!

I’ve burned a lot of hackberry over the years. Got a lot for next year ready to go.

Nice vid!! How do you rate hackberry compaired to ash and red oak for firewood? Also how long do you cut your wood that you sell? Thanks!

We don't have red oak in our area so I'm guessing it doesn't burn as hot as red oak and would consider it similar to ash. It works well if you need a fire but not a real hot one. When the weather is mild we mix it with hedge to keep the fire going so it helps control the heat. We cut our firewood at 18.

@@jtraisedoutdoors8231 thanks a bunch for the info. I burn some ash but just got access to a good bit of hackberry so I reckon I’ll cut it up! Thanks again!

How do u like your grapple? I have one with the dual grapples on top. I've never used a single top grapple. Mines getting pretty worn, probably be buying a new one soon. Just wondering what your opinion is.
    Thx Gary

I have never ran a dual. I have thought about getting one but thought I should probably use one first to see if it works as good or better than the single. If they are like everything else they work great in certain conditions. How fast is yours? Do they come down together? Mine is good at picking up single pieces and is quick and strong. I'd like your opinion of the one you have.

They both come down quick and together. The first one to get resistance stalls until second on hits the wood and then they clamp. Mine will pick up rounds pretty good because if more is on one side or the other it will clamp both side even though they are uneven. I think the single would be fine clamping brush or whole trees, but I'm curios if it will clamp rounds.

@@garyallison4246 I think you are right! Single might not work as well on rounds. I use it to pile brush most of the time.It does cause some issues when picking them up if the rounds are really different in diameter.
