As a person Who's being "restricted" by his own parents, i think i kinda understand the mentality of this game. The "core objectives" you see on the game symbolizes the parents' control over you, as seen on the part where you're unable to do stuff you wanted to do. This is more apparent on the part where you realize it isn't you. Governing parents tend to force you unto a path you don't want to take, not saying for their own good, but simply because that's just the future they want to give you. They don't want to give you an option. You breaking the system symbolizes you rebelling on your own family, finally finding who you are and what you want to be in the process. God i wish i had a father like that...

this game is an absolutely incredible mindfuck! all the misdirection with your mother's weird actions and the seemingly fake world makes you think that the reality around you isn't real, but then TWIST *YOU are the one who is fake*
Man the ending hits different as a DID system. Multiple beings in the same body working together to escape a horrible situation?? Trying to figure out who you are but still having to protect the host?? Hit home hard

The daughter, Liana is lost, a long long time ago. But the dad made a new thing, you, to replace Liana. The mother and the brother are both scared, of you, the brother hides in his room all day and does not want to go out to see you, and the mother is singlehandedly forcing herself to interact with you. But the mother has grown sick of pretending that you are her daughter, so she, bit by bit, reveal secrets, hence the "you can go to the graveyard, just this once". You, a robot or something, are to follow everything that was told to do, follow the critical path a path that is crucial for you to replace Liana. The "Game" shutting down is actually, you shutting down because you aren't designed to find out these secrets. The interfaces on the screen are you, literally. Your artificial consciousness. I think the dad is the sick one here, using a robot or something to replace you, that's why the mom and the dad quarrelled that one time. I do agree on Ryan's theory that the box contains your head, mom gives it to dad to build a better version of yourself, and when you are built, he cremated your previous self. I cant explain tho why the mom moves like that, why the dad wouldn't show his face, why the artificial consciousness wants to kill mother ( does it have a mind of its own? ), or why Liana took over your consciousness or something.
Mother says something like "I'm sure I appear to you as unnatural as you appear to me." so maybe it's something about how the AI brain is interpreting her movement/appearance? That might also be why you're not allowed to see yourself in mirrors, because your own appearance might be too jarring and robotic.
Alright, sorry for being late but here I go. My personal (not deep but ye) theory for the reason of your bloodthirst is actually in reference to how we as players tend to act. When our objective is reached, our goal achieved we pick up another one. As time goes on we reach a point where we run out pf things to do. So what do we do except quitting the game? We become a menace like no other, trying every bad or evil option available or just kill everything in our sight. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
I think the reason why the mother is moving weirdly is because Liana might have been defective broken AI machine and that's why the movements through the mother is acting stop motion stuttering like that. We are seeing through the eyes of Liana Ai robot machine. I think their real daughter Liana died and now the father probably a scientist have designed a AI robot to put their daughter Liana memories into the AI robot, but it hasnt been perfected, so a brand new AI robot with Liana memories is done every week and every time it seems to fail. That's why Liana mother says she's sick of doing this same routine every week. It's a pretty sad story😔. I really like to see the alternative ending I have only beat the game once.
Whenever you go to sleep, there's a split second wher u can see the words "Disengaging Consciousness" which is really creepy, but also at 23:11 mother says something about it being nice, "to be in the real world".

I like this game. It's creepy in a way that other games aren't. The music between transitions is unsettling. I expected the mom to be evil, but the plot twist and mystery had me hooked. This is my 4th time watching this video, and I'll definitely watch it more when I want to watch something creepy.
This lore of this game is confusing me so much. I think what's going on is that we play as a consciousness trapped inside a game, with all our memories lost, and other consciousnesses have experienced different routes before us, and all those routes lead to us dying. In the last ending, the consciousness that Ryan was playing as found out the truth about all that was going on, and the dad found out the consciousness found out about the truth. Am I getting this correct?
I think it's more of a grieving mother loses her daughter to an accident, so the father creates a robot of her daughter to make the mother feels like she has her daughter again, which does not goes well in the end. The robot does have some remnants of the daughter's soul hence why we can see her trying to speak to her mother but the program simply can't allow her Kinda like that, i might be wrong tho
I think Liliana is pretty much a robot that the dad works on to cope with the loss of their daughter. The box that Liliana brings to her father is actually her “old body” that the mother kills. The father brings a new Liliana back to the house every week. But that whole consciousness trapped inside the robot you mentioned kinda manages to break out and becomes a new self.
I think shaggy is actually the doom slayer, as we all know in SCOOB shaggy goes to hell for around a minute, the time in hell does actually moves differently so shaggy actually went to a second dimension, everyone he loved was dead and he became enraged forcing him to use 3% of his power, he then swore to never let this happened and began killing the demons from hell to stop them.

So Ryan basically your a robot of the girl who died an AI. The play is called Angel since you follow the path. From what I get you were destroyed and recreated over and over because your core kept getting corrupted and you didn’t turn out the way that the parents and brother wanted but eventually you broke from you set path and began anew. The vision thing the mother was talking about was a literal representation of what she meant. In your eyes everything looked janky and robotic because you were a robot but to her everything was real. To you it looks like a simulation but that’s only because of how you were made. Also since you were a robot you had trouble disobey orders. Each time you failed she’d cut off your head/remove the core put it in a box for redownloading and burn your body hence the fire in the background
I thought this was supposed to be horror, but its so good and deals with some psychology or something What I pieced together is that, we are a robot or ai or clone that was meant to replace their daughter because probably she died of accident. The mother is scared because we do whatever's necessary to complete or *core objective* which is to be with them or mother, which in the process we've done horrible and maybe violent things. The father is researching about how to improve our system, and was surprised that we were able to break the code and deny the *core objective*, that's why I think the theme is rebirth, and why father said that "new self, new name", probably realized that he can't bring their daughter back, and instead happy that failures created a way to create his new "daughter" and was satisfied with it. The game was so good, didn't expect it, I'll give you that
Im pretty sure Angel is a code word, used to get the "Angel" to do what ever the person who said the word "Angel". like how the mother uses "Angel sleep here tonight." You are forced to sleep there. its possible, but just a theory, a game theory!
the burning in the distance was really suspicious, the mom was absent that time so my best guess going into this is that burnt it. she somthing along the lines of "i was busy with something last night." so this is my best assumption. This game does a great job being spooky as hell and a terrible job making basic sense. Near the end of the game it devolves into cheesy cyberpunk philosophy, the sort of thing only a teenager thinks is thoughtful or clever. Ryan actually skips a bit of the intended game flow - you're expected to need three tries to beat the game. CYCLE 1 - When father calls, he mentions that he had a conversation with mother earlier in the orchard. CYCLE 2 - Catch the conversation in the orchard. Mother will say that she will leave the master bedroom unlocked on Friday evening. - Go into the master bedroom and hide in the closet to listen to mother and father talk / argue. Mother will mention the prized possession and Wednesday afternoon. CYCLE 3 - Use the prized possession on Wednesday afternoon (which is after collecting the apples but before returning them to Mother.)

Mother comforts you, as you’re her “daughter” She doesn’t want you to hate her, knowing you, Liana, are a moody teenager after an accident.
As the game proceeds, Mother becomes visibly scared of you. Talking about your “core” “You’re like these apples,” She ripped out the cores of the apples and they’re starting to rot. “Like you”
You’re not the daughter. You’re not Liana. Liana is dead, there was her grave in the graveyard. “You weren’t supposed to see that.” You, Liana, you’re dead. You’re NOT Liana.
Liana died in the hospital, Father has been working on his “experiment”
Liana, you’re the experiment.
You are not Liana.
You’re a robot, you’re not real. You don’t have a core. You’re only programmed to think, to believe you’re Liana.
The tape on the mirror? You can’t see yourself. How you’re just a false figure of their daughter. You were programmed to believe you’re Liana, and if you saw the truth, who knows what would happen.
Mother and father argue, and Brother finally speaks to you. “They do this every Friday Night” It’s normal.
Mother is hiding. You. Are not. Her daughter. Her daughter is dead and she’s just left with a false figure of the little girl she lost.
Just. Quit.
Your “core” tells you to be with Mother. You are programmed to do that.
They took you home before you were ready.
Mother locked you in the shed. To stay with the rotting apples. But you cannot stay in there. You are programmed to BE WITH MOTHER.
“Son, it’s staying for just one more night” It. It. You’re not real. You are NOT LIANA.
“Please Mother, it’s me!”

The daughter, Liana is lost, a long long time ago. But the dad made a new thing, you, to replace Liana. The mother and the brother are both scared, of you, the brother hides in his room all day and does not want to go out to see you, and the mother is singlehandedly forcing herself to interact with you.
But the mother has grown sick of pretending that you are her daughter, so she, bit by bit, reveal secrets, hence the "you can go to the graveyard, just this once".
You, a robot or something, are to follow everything that was told to do, follow the critical path a path that is crucial for you to replace Liana. The "Game" shutting down is actually, you shutting down because you aren't designed to find out these secrets. The interfaces on the screen are you, literally. Your artificial consciousness.
I think the dad is the sick one here, using a robot or something to replace you, that's why the mom and the dad quarrelled that one time. I do agree on Ryan's theory that the box contains your head, mom gives it to dad to build a better version of yourself, and when you are built, he cremated your previous self.
I cant explain tho why the mom moves like that, why the dad wouldn't show his face, why the artificial consciousness wants to kill mother ( does it have a mind of its own? ), or why Liana took over your consciousness or something.
what backs the head in the box thing is when the head is severed by the mom you get text along the lines of core has been disconnected.
Mother says something like "I'm sure I appear to you as unnatural as you appear to me." so maybe it's something about how the AI brain is interpreting her movement/appearance? That might also be why you're not allowed to see yourself in mirrors, because your own appearance might be too jarring and robotic.

Alright, sorry for being late but here I go.
My personal (not deep but ye) theory for the reason of your bloodthirst is actually in reference to how we as players tend to act. When our objective is reached, our goal achieved we pick up another one. As time goes on we reach a point where we run out pf things to do. So what do we do except quitting the game? We become a menace like no other, trying every bad or evil option available or just kill everything in our sight.

I think the reason why the mother is moving weirdly is because Liana might have been defective broken AI machine and that's why the movements through the mother is acting stop motion stuttering like that. We are seeing through the eyes of Liana Ai robot machine.
I think their real daughter Liana died and now the father probably a scientist have designed a AI robot to put their daughter Liana memories into the AI robot, but it hasnt been perfected, so a brand new AI robot with Liana memories is done every week and every time it seems to fail. That's why Liana mother says she's sick of doing this same routine every week. It's a pretty sad story😔. I really like to see the alternative ending I have only beat the game once.
Whenever you go to sleep, there's a split second wher u can see the words "Disengaging Consciousness" which is really creepy, but also at 23:11 mother says something about it being nice, "to be in the real world".

I like this game. It's creepy in a way that other games aren't. The music between transitions is unsettling. I expected the mom to be evil, but the plot twist and mystery had me hooked. This is my 4th time watching this video, and I'll definitely watch it more when I want to watch something creepy.
This lore of this game is confusing me so much.
I think what's going on is that we play as a consciousness trapped inside a game, with all our memories lost, and other consciousnesses have experienced different routes before us, and all those routes lead to us dying. In the last ending, the consciousness that Ryan was playing as found out the truth about all that was going on, and the dad found out the consciousness found out about the truth.

I think it's more of a grieving mother loses her daughter to an accident, so the father creates a robot of her daughter to make the mother feels like she has her daughter again, which does not goes well in the end. The robot does have some remnants of the daughter's soul hence why we can see her trying to speak to her mother but the program simply can't allow her

I think Liliana is pretty much a robot that the dad works on to cope with the loss of their daughter. The box that Liliana brings to her father is actually her “old body” that the mother kills. The father brings a new Liliana back to the house every week.
But that whole consciousness trapped inside the robot you mentioned kinda manages to break out and becomes a new self.

I think shaggy is actually the doom slayer, as we all know in SCOOB shaggy goes to hell for around a minute, the time in hell does actually moves differently so shaggy actually went to a second dimension, everyone he loved was dead and he became enraged forcing him to use 3% of his power, he then swore to never let this happened and began killing the demons from hell to stop them.

So Ryan basically your a robot of the girl who died an AI. The play is called Angel since you follow the path. From what I get you were destroyed and recreated over and over because your core kept getting corrupted and you didn’t turn out the way that the parents and brother wanted but eventually you broke from you set path and began anew. The vision thing the mother was talking about was a literal representation of what she meant. In your eyes everything looked janky and robotic because you were a robot but to her everything was real. To you it looks like a simulation but that’s only because of how you were made. Also since you were a robot you had trouble disobey orders. Each time you failed she’d cut off your head/remove the core put it in a box for redownloading and burn your body hence the fire in the background

What I pieced together is that, we are a robot or ai or clone that was meant to replace their daughter because probably she died of accident. The mother is scared because we do whatever's necessary to complete or *core objective* which is to be with them or mother, which in the process we've done horrible and maybe violent things. The father is researching about how to improve our system, and was surprised that we were able to break the code and deny the *core objective*, that's why I think the theme is rebirth, and why father said that "new self, new name", probably realized that he can't bring their daughter back, and instead happy that failures created a way to create his new "daughter" and was satisfied with it.

This game does a great job being spooky as hell and a terrible job making basic sense. Near the end of the game it devolves into cheesy cyberpunk philosophy, the sort of thing only a teenager thinks is thoughtful or clever.
Ryan actually skips a bit of the intended game flow - you're expected to need three tries to beat the game.
CYCLE 1
- When father calls, he mentions that he had a conversation with mother earlier in the orchard.
CYCLE 2
- Catch the conversation in the orchard. Mother will say that she will leave the master bedroom unlocked on Friday evening.
- Go into the master bedroom and hide in the closet to listen to mother and father talk / argue. Mother will mention the prized possession and Wednesday afternoon.
CYCLE 3
- Use the prized possession on Wednesday afternoon (which is after collecting the apples but before returning them to Mother.)

Story
