Grew up in Harlem..late '60s-'70s. Knew a bunch of the Hustlers..used to see some of them in the newspaper sometimes. See them on TH-cam and Facebook now. Those still living and those killed back in the day. Me and my boys wasn't into that life. We were athletes and stayed in school and got respect from them dudes. Crazy times back then..it was great if you survived and avoided the lure of Heroin.. selling and using.
Mailboxes were often used to stash guns...drugs...or in this case a hammer. I worked with Mailmen that told me this was common practice.
