About The |CUTES|
Founded by Zull Green (Saúl) and Danuve Katana (Dan), The | CUTES | is a band that could be defined as: "indie-rock-post-proto-punk-new-alternative" that has never sought to have a musical label, so the need has led them to define their genre as "cute-rock" which, far from what the term "cute" could refer to, is a band that is anything but cute. The name comes from the weariness of the typically "rude" bands (metal, punk, hardcore, etc.) that proliferated in the hometown of this group, Nezahualcoyotl.
Later, Rich Richard (on guitar) and Diego (on drums) join the band and together they begin to compose their own songs. Zull capturing the catchy words and requirements with his semi-hollow guitar; Dan putting the musical arrangements and the infuriated touch with his heavy and raw bass; Rich with his powerful and psychedelic guitar solos; and Diego giving the rhythm, the tempo and the epicity, they build some themes that speak of experiences, longings, cheekiness, contempt, sadness, regrets, fantasies... plus what accumulates in the week.
