Still pisses me off Armstead had the audacity to be upset that he was asked to take a pay cut. Dude was a borderline bust with where he was drafted and was OK on his best days. Should have kept DeFo
What kind of season did Armstead have with Jacksonville? David, do you think the 49ers will go high in the draft for a SS? Malik Mustapha as FS and a SS that can tackle, pick good angles, and punish? (that is not Ji'Ayir Brown) That would give us an elite defensive backfield.
27:12 I have been wondering about that, actually. I know you've consistently panned those two Rams' FA guard signings, but how did they actually do this year? How did the Rams' O-line do overall compared to ours? Obviously there's more to a team's success than just that one unit, and injuries were a major factor, but there's no question which team had the better season. According to PFF, Dotson at least had an excellent season, though Jackson was only ok. I'd like to know more beyond that one number, though, since PFF grades can be a bit iffy for O-line.
While I like what Jon Feliciano did for us last year, between his age and injury costing him this entire season, I'm really skeptical whether he's still got enough left to be worthwhile. The IOL guy I'd like to see us bring back in a similar role is Ben Bartch (who I think got skipped in the list). Given his recent injury history, I don't think he'll have all that much of a market, so I think the Niners can get him back on a pretty cheap deal. Due to that injury history, we obviously can't immediately rely on him to hold down a starting job, but I think he slots well into that Brunskill/Feliciano 6th-man IOL backup role. He did look good in the couple of games he played for us, and if he's healthy he could become either a solid starting LG or another viable option at C if Brendel continues to struggle.
Thank you for this info. Question. Do these players ever consider the tax implications by signing with another team in Tennessee, Florida, Nevada? Or do the 49ers accommodate the increase income taxes in the state and allocate that in their offerings.
You don’t know ball. Hargraves was a good player. Insane interior pass rush would love him on a reduced contract he’s not max worthy buts he worth 8-10M
Perhaps when you are bored, a show regarding how the guys we lost did this year…Kingston, Womack, Schrader, Armstead, Woerner, Kinlaw defensive tackle from NDST etc. PFF ratings, current status etc.
Considering what the Niners lost to acquire Hargrave ultimately reflects a very bad move. They rolled the dice on him and lost. Such is football. Hopefully they make up for it.
@@DavidLombardi True. No draft capital lost. What, I feel they lost were a bunch of really good “B” listers that made for excellent depth. Anyways, not dwelling on the past just looking forward to what moves they make moving forward.
No one wants to say this but I feel like alot of players were making buisness decisions sitting out thinking of next year not everyone is like Fred Warner and playing through an injury. I dont think its smart for players to do that but at the same time i question how severe some of these injuries were. With that said I also went through a loss of a child it takes everything out of you and hard to recover. I hope Ward stays but he needs his women by his side and she seems to be out on the niners
David think your channel is the best for covering niners. Its time to drive this brock purdy discussion home Nick wrongs Mahomes mtn picks all those QBs he put in front of brock flopped. His contract cred is through the roof after the playoffs many teams would take brock. So niners fans don't wish for something that might come back and bite you in the ass
Can we save money by not signing Brock Purdy over $50 million a year. Fans deserve better from Brock, who clearly missed OTA'S and PRESEASON this year, and his played like Shit. East Coast Fans sees who's wasting money. Armstead should've been signed. You'll threaten Nick Bosa over Hangrave signing first. He's been trash since he got here. Wasting money. Elijah Mitchell Hangrave and Jake Moody Ronnie Bell Jordan Mason needs to go. Resign Ward. You let Jimmy Ward Superman go. Now DWARD crazy, that's Batman. You'll killing the defense just to please players like Brock Purdy, who clearly has big flaws . And without Mccarthy Brock is only a average quarterback.
Not bad, bit Hill reminds me of a guy who wants the ball 90% of offensive plays. Maybe not. But we have a tyreek hil in Jacob cowing and on a rookie contract. But kyle doesn't usually play rookies, and this year he was forced too. PROTECTION FOR MVPURDY NINER STRONG 💪
All the love to Ward and his family.
DeMeco would jump at an opportunity to reunite Greenlaw with azeez , sign him foreal !! Don’t play with the enforcer of the D
💯
DJ Reed could be a nice FA addition

I was under the impression that Feliciano was going to be forced to retire with the knee injury ?
Hopefully he will..he gets so much undeserved love

Not going to miss Hargrave!!

And is there another run for the SB or not? 🤔
Multiple runs
Rams need to go sign Greenlaw
Just watched Mahomes win again. And we picked Solomon Thomas that year! And the starting QB that year was Brian Hoyer! Imagine?
Moody has to go no questions

They didn’t lose anything to acquire him. He was a free agent. Didn’t cost any draft capital
Only thing they lost was a boat load of money 💰 🤑

Rams 2 years 20 million. Sign Greenlaw.

hargrave is garbage. He had 1 sack and 4 tackles, 7 solo, all year.

On a different note. I wonder if the 49ers would be interested in a trade for Tyreek Hill. Maybe with Deebo and a pick.
