As a fan of the 49ers. I like hufanga and I would like him to return cause he’s a humble dude but he needs to improve in his coverage skills and his tackling. If he returns hopefully he reprises his 2022 caliber of playing but in the meantime let him play special teams until he proves to us all he improved his tackling skills.
I'd rather see the 49ers get Joey Bosa's teammate, Khalil Mack. He's a better player than Bosa. Yes, he's older, but he's still very effective And he's not injury prone like Bosa. He is also a free agent. Although Mack's sack number was low this season, he had a 90.4 PFF grade. Bosa's PFF grade was 63.9. Opposing defenses can only double team one pass rusher. And whoever isn't being double-teamed is going to wreck havoc. It would be like Bosa and a Ford in 2019, except Mack would be healthy all season. Mack is already 33, and he has never been close to reaching a Super Bowl. Maybe he'd be willing to take a pay cut to play for a contender.
As a rotation piece and a friendly team deal would be great because there is no problem if he gets hurt he will be rotational so less chances of getting injured and he has more time to rest and he isn't a starter so they could still get a top guy if need be
Bosa is power but he isn't super fast. I'd like to see a FAST edge rusher opposite Nick Bosa. I don't want his brother or an older vet. I want a newer or new edge rusher who is FAST!
