In 2025 to 2027 the World Rally Championship (car racing) is organizing a race in Encarnacion. Trough this event, Encarnacion and Paraguay as a hole will get a lot more advertising in the world.

@RoxanneandLen I’m from Brazil and I guess the most visited city from our perspective is Ciudad del’Este in the triple border region, I believe you might already know that it’s a very popular city for shopping, where many of us brazilians cross the friendship bridge everyday to buy all kinds of things and return home smuggling and misdirecting goods to avoid sales taxes. Besides this city, there’s not much more interesting things to do, not even in the capital Asunción, despite the development the country is experiencing in the latest years, hopefully this can change in the near future. I also noticed that is a very popular destination for Germans in the recent years, but I wonder why.
@@MrAndreCoutinhoNo hace falta contrabandear puesto que para los extranjeros Ciudad del Este es libre de impuestos...Aparte parece que no estás enterado que muchísimos compatriotas tuyos están mudándose a Encarnacion (lugar preferido por más) y Ciudad del Este. Y otros ( europeos) en su mayoria vienen a invertir. Paraguay se ha convertido en atractivo para inversionistas!!
@@user-es9vu6cx6x Very good to know about the development, Paraguay truly deserves it and it shows. When I mentioned the smuggling is in the brazilian side of the border, our customs agents are heavy taxing those who try to enter with more than what is declared in their baggage.
