Omron CPM1A Program recovery from death internal power supply

In this video I show you how to hook up CPM1A controller portion of the plc to a external power supply and give the correct signal so the plc actually run and communicate. Our company work in automation and find ways to save time and money to customer using creative mean like hardware hacking when needed. In this case no backup and no shematic were available on this machine, so, reverse engineering of the system was hard and the machine is working outside at freezing temperature. Sir i have 6 faulty omron plc . They all have power supply issue . They didn't give 24volt and 5 volt dc.
Could i use a seperate SMPS for 24volt dc and use an IC 7805 to convert 24 volt dc to 5 volt dc which are coming from SMPS. Did it work??

USB-C1F02 usb to RS232 adapter

It is call a serial to peripheral cable, you can find a USB to peripheral cable but mine is a old one. so I use a USB to serial converter. Hi sir good day my board connection is only 5 wire your is 6 wire which model you use my is ( CPM1A-40CDR-A-V1) can guide me how to connect it

Hi, if you look at the back of the power supply it should give a hint on supply voltage wire, other wise do you have some wire same color as these one on the video? I would assume they could be same function. I haven't open a 40CDR mine is a 30CDR. hope this help thanks
