    I just had to check it out and you were right, it is also called German turnip. You are fortunate to have fresh veggies from your garden already; I am looking forward to plant mine.
    I am in Toronto, Canada and believe it or not, I was looking at my backyard this morning and it snowed last night.

      Ahh! Still snowing!! It's already almost 90 degrees down here. I highly recommend trying kohlrabi a try! It was so tasty.

    You did a great job growing kohlrabi. I used to grow the green version. It is also very tasty when steamed and a little butter & salt added.

      Thanks Tim! I know I'm bummed I didn't try it steamed. I've had a few people tell me that as well. Next year I will definitely be planting more to try that way!

    Oh my!! This was fantastic. Going to have it with some salmon tonight!! DEFINITELY going to keep this recipe...so good!! (We like spicy so I added a jalapeno)

    Kohlrabi is a garden gem! cooked and raw it is sooo tasty!
    My Mom used to give us Kids peeled raw Kohlrabi to snack on during the day....

    I wonder if I could convince you that my mayonnaise-based champagne vinegar flavored coleslaw is amazing. Guess what? Next time, I'm using chou rave, as we call kohlrabi in this part of America. Thanks for the tip. Cheers from Quebec.
