When baked, a top made of choux pastry acquires a wavy, irregular surface reminiscent of mountains - hence the name probably referring to the Carpathians. (Carpathians - mountains in Poland). Your cake looks perfect and I bet it tastes great. I've eaten this cake many times.
I grew up on my Babcias cooking, rarely cakes, we usually bought them ...paczki, rurki, black forest, ptys, sernik, ponchowe and numberless others I can't remember.
More like a giant eclair. The technology for preparing the cream and dough is very similar, the ingredients are the same, although the ratio is different
My thoughts exactly, though I would definitely put the giant sugar biscuit on top for that cracked appearance and authentic taste. Powdered sugar is just too weak.
My birthday just passed and I asked for cream puffs rather than a cake because I love them so. Now that I’ve seen your delightful video I will ask for karpatka instead - it looks divine I don’t think I’ll be able to wait another year to try it so I’ll try making this beauty myself. 😂
I'm half polish and this is even better than I remember from my childhood memories. another polish cake which is worth trying is Sękacz, which is a real challenge!
My aunt made this for my birthday once. Only difference: she put mixed berries on the top. I don't know if it was the best dessert I've ever eaten, but it's certainly in the top five. I still dream about it.
@user-wl1zz4cp3p Considering that I live at high elevation, I may have to increase the flour, reduce the temperature, and watch it REALLY closely in the oven. Low elevation recipes sometimes don't "pan out" in Colorado.
❤such a beautiful content here! Keep it up my friend! You'rs allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry, but give up! Keep going! You are great with what are you doing! It deserves all success around and l don't forget to give my full support for you!❤🎉😊🔔
It's lovely, looks so tasty. I'm thinking about how I can adapt this recipe at home. The pan's I have are different, and I have to make a smaller amount, plus if there are some sort of shortcuts it would be fantastic.
🌟👩🍳 Like👍 von #LeckerundMagisch
If your butter and custard do not combine, make sure the mixture is warm enough, i put the bowl in the oven after it had cooled down a bit from making the choux, and took it out every few minutes to stir them together, after a few rounds of that it had combined well. If you use this method, be careful not to heat it too much or the butter will seperate into whey and ghee and will not be good for creaming
This looks so delicious! I’m curious about the adorable bears, the blue and the sparkly grey bears that watch over the baking process 😊. Do they have a story?
Creme Mouselline is soooo much more superior to most American-style butter creams, it doesn't taste as greasy and heavy while eating, it is totally worth the time invested in making it! This recipe video is generally great, but for me worth it just for the creme part alone! :D
Thanks a lot for sharing this 🤍 it looks amazing! I live for this kind of cream-to-dough ratio
Me, too!
So glad! 🧡😋
All of Life must conform to this ratio! 🙃
Me too. Those are the best.
Ummm😮
This is the most spectacular looking dessert I’ve ever seen!
Thank you!💛

How have I never known about this all my life? I gained a pound just watching this! Will be making this!
So glad you like it!
I'm Polish and karpatka is absolutely my favourite dessert.
I love the sounds of pouring, whisking, slicing and melting when it comes to fresh made pastries.
My mom loved to make karpatka for us, I might use your recipe to suprise her next time I visit her!
Hope you enjoy!
I'm making this for my husband's birthday! Thank you for sharing!
You’re most welcome! So glad you like it💛
I made this today for my guests. Omg so good! They loved it too. Thank you so much!❤

🧡🙌
Love that you used an all water choux
this is literally a gigantic choux sandwich. The most indulgent food I've ever seen 😂😂
@Shendarry i will be absolubetly taking this inspiration and putting a layer of chocolate on the bottom of each of the choux mountains!

Thank you! 🙌
This is like a marriage between a giant yorkshire pudding and profiteroles. I highly approve!
🤤thanks!
its a profiterole cake no yorshires here
Υorkshire pudding is savoury though...
@@Evan490BC Yorkshire puddings are just weirdly-shaped pancakes or waffles. They go well with ice cream, syrup, or jam.
@@nathangamble125 I'm British too, I know what Yorkshire puddings are...

My Polish girlfriend approved this recipe as “authentic” 👏🏻😂
Alright taking that second slice from the cake convinced me I'm subscribed now.
Thanks for subscribing!
like the Carpathian mountain range terrain

Hello! Would love to make this. Is that brown sugar you used or is it regular sugar? It looks to have a color to it. Thanks!
Hi! I used raw cane sugar in the video, but regular sugar would work just fine too. Enjoy making it!🙌
Looks so delicious too bad I can't takes it 😋

It looks quite like two yorkshire puddings sandwiched together with cream. I like it!
Edit: oop it looks like other people have already said that
So glas you like it!
Is that demerara sugar you used for the pastry cream? Or raw sugar? It didn't look like basic, processed white sugar.
Raw cane sugar :)
