- This is a demonstration of a rare vintage public address horn speaker that was manufactured by Sanyo. It has to be one of the best sounding 70v/100v line PA horns I've ever heard! Horn speakers are notorious for producing a harsh, "tinny" sound with no bass presence whatsoever. While they are great at projecting speech over long distances (what they are designed for), most can't reproduce music very well at all. However, this Sanyo model defies all expectations, as not only does it sound very musical, but also has a slight amount of low end response. Of course, this is still in no way a "high fidelity" speaker, but compared to all the other horns with compression drivers I've heard, this is by far the best! Not bad for a speaker designed for making simple announcements in a school or factory! The song is "Summer Angel" by Minus the Bear.

The Atlas Sound AP-15 from the 70s is probably the best PA horn I have heard, it managed to outbeat my Bogen SPT15A in sound quality even though that brand uses the same design
