All 4 speakers of mine stopped working at the same time. No sound AT ALL (distorted or otherwise) not on mute. The touch screen radio (think called headset?) appears to be working normal even under audio features. Tried AM/FM/Bluetooth which even connects phone but still no sound. During a tire change the guy said he didn’t notice any problems w fuses? How can I check for self if I know nothing about cars let alone these intricate details / wires / trouble shooting. Really don’t want to face what some say needs replaced (the whole touch screen radio and was quoted around $800) could it be something else what should I look for / check ? Thanks !!!
I was having a similar problem to this, so I bought a used radio system and tried putting that on to see if that fixed it. It did not. The junkyard that I bought the radio from didn’t give me a specific piece l. That piece was the extension box, and once I replaced it my old radio started working again. Usually when the extension box starts to go bad the screen or Bluetooth start having issues. Once replaced everything should start working again.

My 2012 Entune's phone & app side buttons just started being unresponsive, but everything else works. I have a new phone, so I'm unable to pair it with the system, thus unable to use phone or Nav. The dealer couldn't fix it, suggested that I get an after market radio. OR $1100.00 for refurbished radio. (NOT going to happen). The dealer was going to submit to Toyota, but I haven't gotten a response. Any update of a fix for this issue? Everyone please report issue to Toyota, maybe they will do something to help.
Mine started not fully lighting up it's very light pink purple color you can barely see the stations same with the backup camera, after about 3-4 minutes of driving it fully recovers
After more than a year of this messing up, I ended up replacing the entire head unit with a 10" Wireless Carplay Android head unit. I was skeptical at first, but its been doing great since I have installed it about a year or so ago.
I have a 2013 Camry XLE that is doing this whenever it is too hot outside. Once it is cooler (below 68 degrees), then the screen magically works. Otherwise, my screen is black but shows the volume and climate controlls. My BT won't work, my apps wo t work, and I'm also not even able to access the general settings of my car. Has anybody found a solution to their problem yet? This is the most accurate video description of what my car is doing yet I can't find answers anywhere online.

I'm experiencing the problem now if I hit the app button nothing, I cannot link my phone anymore, I thought I need an update with the Navigation system, so I did a search, and there is a system update in 2016, I haven't done one, once you get a USB drive to download it to the drive then you put the USB into your car USB/AUX port. for some reason my USB is not working, I'm going to check and see, if a fuse it out, if not I'll purchase a use USB/Port so I can add the update from USB into my car.
Yes, I did it wasn’t my usb, I was able to download an update newer version I found on the web , once I downloaded onto my computer I put it on a usb drive, took it to my car and it worked. Now, I keep the usb in my car, so whenever I need it I’m good to go. I don’t remember the website, tomorrow I will pull it out of my car, and tried to add the link.
So I unhooked a terminal on my battery and it brought back my buttons and looks like it did an update to the radio. The only thing that I’m having trouble with now is the apps button when I click on it says “system not installed” and my USB isn’t working. But that could be a fuse.

How much was the new radio and installation?
Mine was doing the same thing, fixed it with a software update. One year later, bluetooth is not working. Its a Toyota issue.
Do you have a video of the new CarPlay unit? Does the car functions still work? I also want to go this route.

I had my radio replaced 2 times under warranty. Warranty is out and it’s acting up again. I’m going to replace with aftermarket unit
That is what i ended up doing, i replaced it with a high end 10" carplay monitor that cam with pre-molded fit. no regrets.
This mofo just came to complain with no solutions smh. I’m never getting this time back

@@10706BND I did manage to fix my radio by hitting the source button then scrolling to the FM button , hit that and my radio stated working again
