I was at that game and ran back on the field after big win over Indiana.
@@breakthroughmadeinusa9184 We drove to the game to Purdue in 1979 to watch UM lose late in the game. John Wangler brought them back and was on the brink of scoring the game winning touchdown but the receiver dropped the TD pass in the end zone that was right in his belly, and as he was catching the game winner the 4 of us UM fans in unfriendly territory all came up out our seats screaming and yelling and then he dropped the ball and 61,000 people turned around and looked at us 😒. 😲 Ross-Ade Stadium
John is a great guy. Got to chat with him several years back while at a game.
