This village was formed in the 19th century, after various ethnic H’Mong and Dzao families came together from other mountainous areas in northern Vietnam. They started cultivating rice and corn in the region, as well as weaving fabric and creating handicrafts to get by.
Travelling in Cat Cat village, you will be delighted witnessing the daily activities of the locals while they are weaving, carving, making farm tools and crafts. They are famous for the indigo dyeing technique and very good at manipulating sophisticated gold and silver jewelry as well.
Cat Cat village is famous for its distinctive customs and practices that have remained in the area, despite international influence.

Watching this first part of the video after finishing the Second part. Loved the content so far.. It's such an interesting place, reminds me of North East India hills. The culture looks so similar to them. Of course the views area awsome. Interesting to know about the history of this place and see their daily activities. Quite interesting. Enjoyed watching this Vlog as always. Good to know about the place you were born (difficult for me to pronounce though 😁) Would surely be watching it soon. Thanks for putting up a great show.

Thank you for watching!) I wanna visit beautiful India one day for hills and hiking. Where should I go?

@@NathaliesWorld9 the entire North and north east india hills are ideal for hiking.. there could be some safety concerns if you are travelling alone as a female. In my opinion North east side of India is quite beautiful. In North India you have the option of travelling Lahaul and Spiti, which is considered to be one of the best places for hiking..then there is a famous trek of Roopkund which is very popular among the hikers.so likewise there multiple options.. last but not the least Kashmir is the crown of India and by far my most favourite..

It depends when you come! I came in Sapa in October and experienced all 4 seasons change in one day! I don’t remember if I talked about it in this video or the video about hiking in Sapa! It’s really impressive!

Beautiful film Nathalie! I agree about how a big increase in tourists can change these wonderful places sadly. I think if I went to a place like this I would end up with a suitcase full of souvenirs ! How do you travel to these awesome places and not go home without them?
