Thanks for the nice comments 🙏. There’s so much great food here it’s hard to choose the best. I’ve had an awesome pad Ka Prow the last two nights. It was better the second time whereas I found someone to translate for me and was able to get the spice level up to 8 chilies 🌶️. Tom had Chicken Penang. Also went to the night market and had pork & chicken on a stick. We’ve been having a lot of Khao Soi.
Not sure what government oversight is but we try to eat at stalls that are busy and moving the food which means that the food is moving quickly and probably tasty too. In five years of traveling in SE Asia we haven’t had a problem.
Chiang Mai has great night markets. We loved the coconut smoothies there.

How safe is the "street" food in general? Just wondered how the gvmt there approaches food safety practices in general thank you
